My Martial Arts Level Never Drops
Chapter 592 - 254: Fighting the True
Chapter 592: Chapter 254: Fighting the True
Stepping back into the wilderness, Qin Fang quickly confirmed... there were indeed fewer Demons.
For three days straight, he only encountered two Demons.
He did, however, see other disciples from the Golden Rainbow Sword Sect.
Among them was the stunningly beautiful woman he had encountered several times before, the one who was always by Zhao Yuanling’s side.
When she saw Qin Fang, she even looked surprised.
After a moment’s hesitation, she actually came over to speak with Qin Fang.
Only then did Qin Fang finally learn her name...
Liu Qingshuang.
From his conversation with Liu Qingshuang, Qin Fang learned that Cui Daoheng had indeed reported the intelligence to the Golden Rainbow Sword Sect immediately. The sect’s disciples who were out hunting Demons had all received the news and were now being instructed to carefully search the mountains and wilds for any trace of the creatures.
"Two True Blood Great Demons have appeared in the last few days," Liu Qingshuang told Qin Fang. "One of them was even discovered by a disciple from your Heavenly Gang Wuji Sect."
Qin Fang’s gaze sharpened, but before he could speak, Liu Qingshuang continued, "Don’t worry, though. That Elder’s True Inheritance disciple immediately used a Sword Gall to hold back the True Blood Great Demon and managed to escape. They later even helped one of my sect’s Elders take it down. No one was seriously harmed."
Only then did Qin Fang relax.
The two exchanged a bit more information before Liu Qingshuang gracefully departed.
’Looks like there wasn’t just one True Blood Great Demon... They’re simply smarter and more cautious than other Extraordinary Level Demons. They probably all went into hiding shortly after they emerged.’
Qin Fang frowned deeply.
This made searching for traces of Demons much more dangerous.
...Who knew when you might stumble upon a True Blood Great Demon hiding in some forgotten corner?
True Blood Great Demons were equivalent to the Divine Realm. Qin Fang had witnessed the Carp Demon’s power firsthand—it was truly terrifying, and faster than him.
...Although they hadn’t clashed head-on, Qin Fang knew it would not be an easy foe.
However, Qin Fang estimated that with his current strength, killing a True Blood Great Demon would be difficult. But escaping... that probably wouldn’t be a problem.
After all, he possessed True Gang infused with the True Intent of Eternal Freeze.
The Divine Realm simply meant their Leaf Skills were more powerful than those of the True Essence Realm. The fundamental quality of their True Gang didn’t change; at most, it was merely more condensed.
Given Qin Fang’s foundation, it wasn’t as if he stood no chance in a fight.
Plus, he still had the Sword Gall from a Sixth Realm Martial Artist.
...So even if he ran into one, he wasn’t particularly afraid.
And so, Qin Fang continued his search for Demons.
...Alright, truth be told, a part of him was eager to give it a try.
Since reaching the Divine Illumination Realm, he hadn’t truly fought an evenly matched opponent.
This was not conducive to his growth.
As long as he could ensure his own safety, crossing hands with such a Great Demon would only bring benefits, no harm.
「A few more days passed in a flash.」
All told, he had been in Jinlan Prefecture for the better part of a month.
In total, he had killed nearly 134 Demons. More than a hundred of them were Extraordinary Level or higher.
...He had memorized the location of every Demon Corpse.
Of course, it was possible some of the Demon Corpses would be discovered by others.
...But he wasn’t in a rush.
Once this incident was over, the sects would surely communicate. He would see then if he could reclaim the Demon Corpses...
「Another three days passed in a flash.」
In those three days, Qin Fang only managed to find a single Demon...
There were simply too many rugged mountains in Jinlan Prefecture, making the search both time-consuming and exhausting... ’Who the hell knows what holes these things crawl into?’
On the bright side, Qin Fang did manage to find a few Treasure Plants during his search...
Although they were all relatively common Treasure Plants, they should still fetch tens of thousands of contribution points at the Pill Pavilion—a pleasant surprise.
...The value of a Treasure Plant was often higher than that of an average Extraordinary Level Demon Corpse.
The knowledge he had gained in the Hundred Herbs Courtyard was finally being put to good use.
...In many cases, he would notice that the surrounding terrain was unique. Recalling that it matched the growing conditions for certain Treasure Plants described in the texts he’d studied, he would then follow those descriptions and successfully locate them.
And sure enough, he made discoveries.
This left him quite satisfied.
...Naturally, he immediately stored these Treasure Plants in his ’Void Realm’.
...He had to admit, having the ’Void Realm’ was incredibly convenient.
Moreover, Qin Fang had now confirmed that the ’Invisible Domain’ of his Void Realm was seemingly undetectable to anyone but himself.
...He had once tried storing an object while near Master Fan, but Master Fan hadn’t noticed anything unusual.
And Master Fan was a Sixth Realm Martial Artist!
Even Master Fan couldn’t detect it...
This reassured Qin Fang greatly.
The utility of the ’Void Realm’ instantly skyrocketed.
After another fruitless day of searching, Qin Fang stopped to rest on a mountaintop.
’This aimless searching is too inefficient.’
’But it seems there’s no other way...’
’If only the range of my Divine Sense were larger, this would be so much easier...’
He shook his head, then sat cross-legged with his eyes closed to recover his energy.
Night fell in a flash. Deep in meditation, Qin Fang suddenly heard a faint rustling sound.
He opened his eyes, his gaze as sharp as lightning, and peered down below.
...His Divine Sense had a range of less than two hundred meters, but his hearing was exceptionally sharp.
If he focused, he could hear with perfect clarity from a kilometer away.
Just then, he heard a strange chewing sound drifting up from the foot of the mountain.
...By now, the ordinary beasts of prey in these mountains had all but vanished. They had likely all been either eaten or frightened away by those Exotic Species.
