My Magic Has No Upper Limit
Chapter 411 - 341: Mastery of All Magics (Part 2)
Chapter 411: Chapter 341: Mastery of All Magics (Part 2)
"Alright, let’s start with some self-introductions..."
"The battle with the Nine-headed Dragon Snake won’t be easy. It’s best if we’re all clear on each other’s abilities so we know what to expect."
Kilian was the first to speak.
"Kilian Finn, Middle Level High Tier Warrior. I’ll be serving as the Vanguard for the party."
Adrian was next.
"Adrian, Middle Level Mage. I specialize in Light Magic."
’Light Magic...’
Zelir couldn’t help but recall watching Adrian in battle.
’That’s right, I learned Instant Flash Ball from him.’
’One of the criteria for being designated a Middle Level Mage is the ability to successfully cast Four Level Multi-layered Spell Structure Magic.’
’So what kind of Four Level Multi-layered Spell Structure Magic does Adrian know?’
Zelir was quite looking forward to seeing a powerful Light Element Attack Magic.
"Rolin Kaimer, Middle Level Mage, specializing in Water Magic," Rolin said with a slight nod.
’Water Magic...’
Zelir narrowed his eyes slightly.
’That’s another field I haven’t delved into very deeply.’
So far, Zelir hadn’t mastered any particularly powerful Water Magic spells.
The Level Three Water of Cutting was the best he had.
’It looks like Rolin and Adrian will have quite a few surprises for me in this battle.’
"Shaman, Middle Level Mage. I specialize in Empowerment Magic," the stern, middle-aged mage said.
’No last name... so he’s a commoner.’
Zelir looked at his face and suddenly found him a bit familiar.
After a moment of thought, he managed to pull a fragment of a memory about Shaman.
’He’s that Middle Level Mage from the medical area in the underground hall!’
’No wonder I felt like I’d seen him somewhere before...’
’It makes sense. If Shaman were a Noble Mage, he wouldn’t be earning money by healing Adventurers.’
’I wonder if he knows any Empowerment Magic I’ve never seen before.’
Zelir’s sense of anticipation grew stronger.
After the three Middle Level Mages finished their introductions, everyone’s eyes fell on Zelir.
"Zelir, Middle Level Mage. The magic I specialize in is..."
Zelir paused for a moment before continuing, "...Fire Magic, I suppose."
Zelir didn’t go into detail about the other types of magic he had mastered.
’In any case, the strongest Attack Magic I know right now is all fire-related.’
"Hmm..."
Kilian nodded slightly.
"A Light Element, a Water Element, and a Fire Element. This gives us plenty of options to counter the different abilities of the Nine-headed Dragon Snake’s heads."
Next came the self-introductions from the other members.
It was worth noting that aside from Adrian’s squad and Zelir’s squad, the remaining Swordsman Fletcher and Ranger Joel were both Advanced Middle Level Professionals.
In other words, in this team of fourteen, the High Tier Professional was Vanguard Kilian.
The Advanced Professionals were Vanguard Redia, Swordsman Fletcher, Ranger Joel, and Assassin Hill.
There were also four Middle Level Mages: Zelir, Adrian, Rolin, and Shaman.
And the rest were Vanguard Marcus, Swordsman Gray, Ranger Valles, Swordsman Kanter, and Giant Axe Warrior Yale.
It was already a very well-rounded lineup!
They were at the maximum number of people, and their strength was formidable.
A diagram was spread out on the table.
Kilian cleared his throat.
"First, according to our current intelligence, the Nine-headed Dragon Snake is holed up on a rock face with three massive caves."
Zelir looked at the rough sketch and simulated the scene in his mind.
"Three of the Nine-headed Dragon Snake’s heads are located in each of the three caves."
"Therefore, we’ll need to split our people into three groups."
Kilian’s finger tapped on the map.
He looked up, his gaze falling first on Zelir and Adrian.
"Zelir, Adrian, you both joined with your own squads. In terms of chemistry and coordination, you’re obviously most familiar with your own teams."
"So I plan to have you each take your original squads to handle one cave. Any problems with that?"
"We can do that." Zelir and Adrian both nodded.
’This is the best arrangement. It’s equivalent to only having to handle one-third of the pressure from the Nine-headed Dragon Snake.’
"Excellent."
Kilian’s gaze then shifted to the remaining mage, Rolin, as well as Swordsman Fletcher and Ranger Joel.
"Then the three of you will form a team with me to deal with the last cave."
"Alright." The three had no objections and agreed crisply.
The strategy was now clearly planned: three snake heads in each of the three caves.
Zelir’s squad, Adrian’s squad, and Kilian’s squad would each take care of their assigned cave.
’Looking at their stats on paper, Kilian’s team is undoubtedly the strongest!’
’A High Tier, two Advanced, and a Middle Level Mage—a proper main damage-dealing squad.’
"Then, Shaman, you’ll be in charge of logistical support."
Kilian turned back to Shaman. "If any team member is injured, heal them immediately and ensure their safety."
"We can accept injuries, but we should avoid deaths as much as possible... I’m sure no one wants to throw their life away."
"Everyone should also prepare their own Magic Potions and emergency supplies, just in case."
Everyone nodded lightly.
"Now, about the timing for applying buffs..."
Kilian considered the question carefully.
"Shaman, you can use your own judgment on that. If you see a squad is under a lot of pressure... apply buffs to them in time. We can’t let a single point in our formation be broken."
"Understood," Shaman nodded.
However, his gaze subtly swept over Marcus.
’Among the vanguards of the three teams, only Marcus is an Initial Tier Professional.’
’In Shaman’s assessment, Marcus is the one most likely to be broken through.’
’If the Vanguard can’t hold the line, then the entire backline will fall into chaos.’
’Looks like I’ll have to buff him the moment the fight starts...’ Shaman silently made a mental plan.
Excluding the four mages and two rangers, who were less likely to get injured as backline damage dealers.
The remaining eight people would all require Shaman to split his attention to care for them.
To be honest, this was already a bit beyond his capabilities, but he could only brace himself and take on the task.
Empowerment Mages weren’t exactly easy to find.
"Oh, you don’t need to worry about logistical support... at least not for my squad."
Zelir spoke up. "I’ll be responsible for their buffs and healing."
"You’ll be responsible?" Shaman frowned, not quite understanding what Zelir was saying.
"Yes, I can use Empowerment Magic... I can use Healing Skill and the like, and I also know some ability-enhancing spells."
Zelir said, "So, Shaman Mage, you can focus your attention on the other two squads."
"You know Healing Skill? And other ability-enhancing Empowerment Magic spells?"
The astonishment on Shaman’s face grew, and his tone was a little off.
"Mage Zelir, this is a pre-battle strategy meeting, not a time for drunken boasting... You need to be responsible for the words you speak."
If Shaman hadn’t previously sensed that Zelir truly possessed the strength of a Middle Level Mage, he probably would have started openly mocking him right then and there.
’How could a Combat Mage possibly be proficient in the Empowerment Magic Sys—’
The thought had barely formed in his mind when a gentle wave of Life Energy emerged from the tip of Zelir’s Magic Wand.
Vitality Granting.
A green halo expanded from Zelir, sweeping through the entire private room.
Everyone in the room felt their spirits lift as much of their physical fatigue and weariness faded away.
A look of admiration appeared in their eyes simultaneously.
’So this is what it’s like to have a mage who can provide buffs... It’s truly reassuring.’
"I wasn’t lying, Shaman Mage."
The Magic Power within the Night Peace Staff receded as Zelir spoke calmly, "I can indeed use Empowerment Magic."
"My previous suggestion was simply to help share some of your burden during the battle."
’If Shaman had to handle the logistical support for all three squads, he’d definitely be stretched too thin. Being flustered and overwhelmed wouldn’t be good for anyone.’
’It’s better if I just handle my own squad.’
Shaman’s mouth was now open wide enough to fit four eggs.
’Gods above... How could this be?’
’A Combat Mage who’s also proficient in Empowerment Magic?!’
’Just where did this genius come from?!’
Rolin and Adrian’s eyes were wide as well.
’Just how many more surprising things is Zelir hiding...?!’
