"I’m a demonic cultivator. This old man is the Bloodthirsty Venerable of the Demonic Path, but juniors can call me Old Bloodthirsty."

Damon pointed his sword at him, but the old man didn’t move. Instead, he glanced up as different figures began to fall from the sky, and many auras filled the heavens.

"You have the aura of someone touched by the Unknown God. I pity you."

With that, he suddenly turned around and left. When he reappeared, any humans around him exploded into blood mist.

Damon raised his head and saw destruction raining from the sky, with many auras mixing across the battlefield.

Those in the Seventh Class clashed against them in the sky, and Damon watched as they were slaughtered and pushed back.

Emperor Kronos of Valtheron stood against an Outsider with the form of a man on top and the legs of a bird below.

"Frozen Time!" the emperor roared, and time began to slow down around them.

However, a palm impaled him from behind, and a woman with green hair pulled out his heart.

"This fool. Don’t you know you gain time resistance and control when you reach the EX Rank?"

The emperor looked at his chest and groaned, trying to turn around, but he couldn’t. His body and soul had been destroyed.

She slowly let him go, his body falling toward the earth.

The emperor was dead.

"What are you doing, Sentra? Our work does not need to involve killing the locals." The voice came from a woman with dark, crow-like wings and a radiant lance in her hand.

"I can’t stand you fallen angels and your forced morality. Does it matter if we kill them? They are ants. Besides, their world is done for since Doom and Unknown started to fight here."

She vanished, and the other woman bit her lips.

"She’s not wrong," another person’s voice echoed next to her. "Our objective should be to leave before the Demongod or Doom wins."

She nodded, but then shook her head.

"No. We find the Pillar of Conflict, and then we ask Unknown for a wish. I will not return a failure."

"Then let’s hurry while the others are still enjoying their freedom."

Damon watched the battles in the sky and then prepared to join them, but first, he had to find his friends.

He wouldn’t let anyone else die.

Just as Damon was thinking that, he heard a loud roar. When he looked up, he saw the sky take on a carrion scent, and many birds of prey filled it. At the edge of the sky, there was a vast and mighty dragon.

Damon’s eyes widened.

"Rexagon."

A great dragon had arrived, but it wasn’t only Rexagon. A sea of water rose from the horizon. A vast tsunami was engulfing the land, washing away the world in deep blue water that seemed black. Inside it was the faint movement of a dragon.

"Aquagon, the Deep Serpent," Evangeline whispered.

What was a dragon of the deep sea doing here?

Damon began to hear a loud roar from his shadow.

"Release me, mouse!"

The voice of a dragon echoed from his shadow.

The great dragons had come to join the battle.

Rexagon opened his mouth and roared.

"Sylvia Moonveil, show yourself! Our covenant is yet to be fulfilled. Hand me the mouse you promised!"

Damon’s eyes widened.

He reached into his shadow, where he had stored a woman’s severed head, and took it out.

"Sylvia... Did you plan this?"

A streak of bright white light landed on the ground.

Kadelas limped toward Damon, a look of horror on his face as he saw the severed head of his daughter.

"Damon Grey... What is the meaning of this? Why... why is my daughter... Sylvia’s..."

Damon lowered his head. He couldn’t say anything to Kadelas.

"I’m sorry. I couldn’t protect her."

"You... You couldn’t protect her?" Kadelas unleashed a blast of magic at Damon, sending him flying.

"Why, Damon Grey? Explain to me why my daughter is dead!"

Damon couldn’t say anything. He had no answer for a father’s grief.

He felt despair grip his heart, along with shame and helplessness. He just couldn’t fight anymore. He was tired, and he wanted all of this to end. But at the same time, a faint light stubbornly remained in his heart. Deep inside the darkness, an almost invisible light remained from his divine spark, pushing him to hold on.

"Release me!" Ashergon roared once more.

Damon was about to think that one more dragon wouldn’t make a difference when, just as he was about to give in, a rift opened up and a woman with long ashen hair streaked with red landed in front of him.

"Seras," he whispered.

She glanced at him, then nodded.

"Attack!"

A rift formed in the sky, and Damon saw strange entities that seemed inhuman. Some appeared eldritch, while others were a mixture of both. He recognized them, including an angel-like creature with chains on its body.

"Seraph Null," Evangeline whispered.

"The lesser gods have come to fight for this world."

"Invaders from another world! The gods of old have returned, and we bring a promise of a swift death!"

A lesser wind god shot forward ahead of the others. Its body was almost like a formless worm, but when it reached halfway, it met an Outsider on a flying sword who merely raised a hand and said, "Red Streaks, Karmic Curses."

When he said those words, red strings covered the lesser god, and its body began to be sliced apart.

"You have terrible karma and have killed many innocents. Now you have paid for it."

Orbitus gloated next to him.

"Hahaha! I would expect no less from someone who learned from the Red Paradise Celestial."

"Many thanks, Orbitus. I am still just a junior and can’t compare to my sect’s ancestor."

With the death of one lesser god, the world shifted slightly, and the wind itself seemed to suffer.

"Attack! Kill the invaders!"

The battlefield grew even more heated. From the rift, a blind old man stepped out.

He stopped right next to Damon.

"It’s over for your world."

"If I were you, I would cut my losses, take those you care about, and escape when the Goddess’s barrier inevitably breaks due to the battle between her and Unknown."

Damon looked at the blind old Daoist.

"I want to get back my daughter and my sister. I can’t run without them."

"Then you will never leave," he replied.

Then he flew up toward his fellow Outsiders.
