My Kingdom Building Done Right!
Chapter 410: Blood, Honor, And Glory [Part 3]
Loud laughter rang through the tournament grounds as everyone watched the chubby young man run to the edge of the arena.
Even the chieftains watching the show, except for Leone and Troy, couldn’t help but smile in amusement.
Sandreaver Tribe’s representative, Nolan, could only watch in disbelief as his opponent ran away from him.
His body trembled.
Not out of relief or embarrassment.
But because the tournament he had been anticipating for a long time had turned into a big joke.
Nolan wouldn’t have minded if it happened to someone else. But the same thing couldn’t be said when he was part of the show.
This was his long-awaited debut.
This was where he was supposed to let everyone know that the Sandreaver Tribe had a powerful young warrior.
’This pig is making a mockery of the tournament!’ Nolan thought. ’Is he treating me like a joke?!’
Out of anger, Nolan sprinted toward his opponent, nearly closing the gap between them in a few seconds.
Sensing his opponent running after him, Byron made a left turn. However, Nolan had cut him off by blocking his path.
"You bastard!" Nolan shouted as he raised his fist to punch the living hell out of his opponent.
His shout’s volume made Byron flinch while running.
As a result, the full-figured young man took a wrong step and tripped.
Then, time began to move in slow motion.
Nolan’s fist passed harmlessly over Byron’s head. Everyone watched as the chubby young man fell head first... not toward the ground, but towards Nolan’s *ahem*.
Byron’s hard head smashed against something, which made Nolan and the male warriors gasp.
For a brief moment, everyone thought they heard something crack. The kind of sound that happened when an egg was broken.
"Ngh...!"
A pained groan escaped Nolan’s lips as his body bent over like a shrimp. No matter how strong he was, he was still a man. And all men had a common weakness.
Malik watched in horror as his representative’s family jewels were smashed by Byron’s hard head.
In fact, all of the warriors were horrified, making Zorren’s earlier show of brutality seem trivial in comparison.
And since Byron was carried by momentum, he and Nolan fell on the ground together.
The pitiful representative of the Sandreaver Tribe rolled on the ground with his hands clutching onto his *ahem*.
Thinking this was a god-given opportunity, Byron then kicked the young man’s body. It just so happened that he was wearing a very pointy kind of leather boots, and the point of that boot "accidentally" hit Nolan’s backside.
It was a bullseye.
A perfect hit.
Of all the places to be hit, it just had to be that place.
It was like adding insult to injury, multiplying the pitiful warrior’s suffering.
’He deflowered him,’ Daedalus commented, making Leone grimace in response.
Everyone watched this scene with grim expressions on their faces.
It was brutal.
Too brutal.
After this, Nolan might never dare to show his face in front of everyone ever again.
"I’m sorry!" Byron immediately apologized after realizing that he had kicked the wrong spot.
"I-I’ll... kill... you!" Nolan said through gritted teeth. Unfortunately for him, Byron had decided to body slam his opponent while he was still down.
But just as he was to do it, he tripped once more and fell with his elbow poised to strike.
And to make matters worse, that elbow landed once again on Nolan’s *ahem*.
The words "scrambled egg" suddenly appeared inside everyone’s mind after seeing this horrifying scene.
In the end, Gundar personally jumped into the arena to stop the battle.
"Winner, Byron!" Gundar said, raising the chubby young man’s hand.
This was a battle between high-ranking tribes. A battle that everyone was looking forward to watching.
At first they were laughing, but now, no one was laughing.
How could they?
The majority of them were men, and of all the places to hit, Byron had to hit that place not once... but twice!
"Leone, please," Malik said through gritted teeth as he stared at Troy, who actually laughed after Gundar declared that his son had won the battle.
"Understood." Leone knew what was at stake, so he rushed to the arena.
In order to save what little dignity Nolan had left, the young chieftain asked Gundar to help carry the brokeback warrior outside of the arena, where he could tend to him properly.
Kael then waved his hand, raising walls to surround Leone, even adding a roof on top to prevent anyone from seeing his treatment.
For a few moments, silence descended upon the tournament grounds.
Nobody knew what to say.
Some even prayed a silent prayer to the Earth Goddess to help the young man recover from this traumatic experience.
Meanwhile, the winner walked proudly to the winner’s corner and sat beside Zorren.
Zorren looked at Byron before lifting his chair and moving away from him.
Clearly, he didn’t want to be anywhere near the chubby young man, who made everyone forget Zorren’s earlier acts of brutality.
A few minutes later, the walls surrounding Leone disappeared.
Nolan remained unconscious, his face still pale. However, his life was no longer in any danger. As for his... *ahem*, Leone would need to use special methods to help regenerate that part.
For some reason, his healing ability couldn’t fully heal it. Thankfully, Daedalus assured him that it could make a potion that would fix Nolan’s family jewels as good as new later.
The warriors of the Sandreaver Tribe then moved to carry out Nolan on a stretcher. All of them glared hatefully at Byron.
The chubby young man, on the other hand, only looked genuinely apologetic.
It was all an accident.
A very painful accident... or at least, that was what everyone thought.
As to whether it really was an accident or not, only Byron knew the answer.
"Fighters, to the arena!" Gundar declared.
Jason stood from his seat and approached the arena. His opponent was from the Ironhide Tribe.
The representative of the middle-ranked tribe, Cole, looked at Jason with a steady gaze. He feared fighting anyone from the high-ranking tribe. However, he had a good impression of the Aslan Tribe.
He believed that he had a good chance of defeating Jason since the latter was younger than him.
"I hope we have a good fight." Cole pressed his hands together in greeting.
"I hope so too," Jason replied with a smile.
After exchanging their greetings, the two took a fighting stance as they waited for Gundar to start the battle.
"Fight!"
With that, the tournament’s third round started, and both fighters charged toward each other with their weapons poised to strike.
