My God-Level System Can Rebuild Civilization in the Apocalypse!
Chapter 350: Gaemi Wants the Energy Pool
Looking at the cat fur scattered across the ground, Joo Joowon could not help but ask in confusion, "Did you two get into a fight?"
Byeol sat upright where he was and washed his face, acting as though he had not heard anything.
Hwi, on the other hand, came over to Joo Joowon, but he did not admit anything either. He simply rubbed himself against him.
Joo Joowon did not look into it any further. He picked up the heavy Hwi and carried him over to the Energy Pool.
"Hwi, go over there. Absorb as much as you can and raise your level as quickly as possible."
Although the red mist boss did not seem likely to take the initiative to attack or expand its territory for the time being, Joo Joowon would never allow another force to grow stronger right beside his own territory.
Before he could deal with the other party, the most important thing was to raise his own side’s strength. Otherwise, forget about killing the other party. Being able to survive would already be considered a good result.
"Meow!"
Although Hwi hated water, he did not refuse this time. He also felt that his strength was a little too weak. Otherwise, at the end, it would have been Mom who did almost all the fighting, and she had even needed to split her attention to protect him.
Besides, one of them had already been so troublesome to deal with, and there were still so many more inside the red mist. Even someone as carefree as Hwi could not help but develop a slight sense of danger at this moment.
Well, in reality, this was mainly because Byeol had given him a good scolding. Otherwise, Hwi’s mind would never have thought of these things on its own.
In Hwi’s eyes, as long as he and Joo Joowon had returned safely, there was no need to worry about anything else. He had even still had the mood to show off to Byeol.
However, Byeol’s temper could hardly be considered good. After hearing Hwi gloss over the important matters and focus only on getting under his skin, how could he possibly tolerate it? He immediately gave Hwi several solid punches.
Considering Hwi’s current strength, Byeol then had no choice but to carefully explain the seriousness of the situation to him.
Hwi was simply carefree, not stupid. So when Byeol explained things to him logically, he was still able to understand. At this moment, he obediently stayed inside the Energy Pool and began cultivating by using his Predator’s Feast Talent.
Only after seeing this did Joo Joowon finally feel relieved enough to leave. Cats naturally had a strong playful nature, so if Hwi had refused to go, Joo Joowon could understand that too. He had originally planned to have a proper talk with Hwi, but unexpectedly, things had gone this smoothly.
As soon as he walked out, he saw Gaemi presenting him with her back end.
"My sincere feelings have been wasted after all."
Joo Joowon: "...Huh?"
"What are you even talking about?" Joo Joowon bent down and placed Gaemi in the palm of his hand, feeling somewhat helpless.
If Hwi was in a state where he did not use his brain for most of the time, then Gaemi was in a state where it occasionally had to go completely crazy. She was no longer the simple-minded fool who knew nothing back then.
Now, it was a simple-minded fool who understood some things but not others.
Although this change had made her thinking much more agile, unlike before when Joo Joowon had worried that she would not be able to handle the responsibilities of a legion commander, some of her unexpected behavior really did leave him feeling quite helpless at times.
"Hmph!" Gaemi wriggled around, trying to crawl down from his palm, and turned her head away from him.
Joo Joowon: "..."
What was wrong with her? Why was dhe angry now?
After thinking about it for a moment, he finally realized, "You want to use the Energy Pool?"
Joo Joowon could not help recalling that when he had held a meeting and appointed them to their positions not long ago, Gaemi had mentioned during their discussion that after returning, she would need to accumulate energy so that she could emerge from her pupa. Only after that could she arrange for the ants to defend the entire nest.
At the time, Joo Joowon had not thought much about those words. After all, he had already prepared himself for Gaemi to be unable to contribute much in the short term, so he had never considered anything else.
After all, Gaemi had chosen to pupate on her own initiative. If she wanted to come out again, how difficult could it possibly be?
However, looking back at her now, those words had clearly been meant for him to hear.
In nature, situations such as breaking out of a cocoon or shedding one’s skin actually had a certain chance of failure.
For transcendent beings, however, there was no need to gamble on whether they would succeed. They simply needed to accumulate enough energy.
The problem was that Gaemi currently did not have any suitable types of soldiers to search for resources on her behalf. If she relied entirely on absorbing the free energy in the air to accumulate enough energy on her own, how long would it take before she could finally fill herself up?
So was she not clearly hinting to Joo Joowon that she wanted to use the energy in the Energy Pool to speed up the process?
"Do... Do you think I’m not worthy?" Gaemi raised the upper half of her body. Her posture was very forceful, but her tone lacked confidence.
Joo Joowon could not help laughing. He stretched out one finger and poked it over. "Can’t you just talk normally? Who said you weren’t allowed to use it?"
The strength of an ant nest came from the power of the entire group.
