Chapter 602: Chapter 46: The Complete Source is Obtained, the 90th Year Arrives, Amitabha Emerges
"Enough! A truce!"
The Ancient Bodhi Buddha coughed up blood, beaten by the empty-handed Blind Daoist. His condition was dire, and even the Bodhi Miaoshu in his hand had grown dim!
He couldn’t understand. The Primordial Hand wielded no Magical Treasure. The Daoist Robe, the Qingyun, the Three-Bejeweled Ruyi—none were present. ’Why... does he still possess such power??’
’This isn’t The Beginning of Ancient Times!’
Hearing his call for a truce,
the Blind Daoist merely sneered without a word. He pressed down with his hand again, an attack that encompassed all of Chaos and reflected every magnificent scene of the past, piercing through this era of Ancient History all the way back to the very first one!
As if struck by lightning, Bodhi coughed up more blood. He desperately shook the Miaoshu in his hand, unleashing world-ending power as all eighty of its branches stirred, bathing everything in a great Wisdom Light.
Elsewhere, Fu Xi wasn’t faring well either. This world, in this era, was already approaching the final calamity, and the Lame Daoist was growing stronger with every passing moment.
He himself had not even attained a Dao Fruit. He was holding on purely through the strength of his infinitely vast True Spirit and Innate Spiritual Light.
The Lame Daoist had already obliterated countless Great Daos from All Realms that Fu Xi had gathered. Now, thoughts of retreat surfaced in his mind, and he sued for peace:
"I know my mistake and swear it will not happen again! I am willing to go before the Supreme and kowtow in apology!"
The Demon Ancestor glanced over, her eyes filled with anger.
"Brother! You don’t have to do this! If worse comes to worst, we’ll just flip the table and fight them until the final calamity arrives ahead of schedule, until everything comes to an end!"
As she spoke, she danced a long sleeve, her Infinite Cultivation transforming into a single strike powerful enough to annihilate the Celestial Myriad Realms countless times over.
But the Supreme remained as serene as ever. Sitting cross-legged on a prayer mat, he suppressed her attack with just one hand.
He spoke leisurely,
"In the years of the final calamity, Spirit Treasure is supreme. When a new epoch is pioneered, Primordial is paramount. In the eras that follow, I become the honored one... So what if you flip the table?"
The Demon Ancestor sneered.
"The three of you will naturally be fine. At any given time, one of you is the strongest in the world. But what about your disciples? For instance... what about Supreme Profound Clarity?"
"Are you threatening me?"
The Supreme lifted his eyelids. He was no longer facing his foe with a single hand. This time, he extended both. The Eight Trigrams Furnace materialized beside him, its lid cracking open just a sliver!
The Demon Ancestor’s scalp tingled as alarm bells screamed in her mind. She pulled upon her Infinite Magical Power, forming a curtain to shield All Realms, while she herself retreated explosively.
She was terrified, but she still spoke:
"What, did I strike a nerve? Are you getting angry? Oh, Supreme, Supreme, you are already on the verge of falling! Your position of a Perfect Dao Fruit might not be secure!"
As she spoke, the Supreme pressed down with both hands. The Demon Ancestor barely held on, coughing up mouthfuls of blood, yet she continued her taunts:
"Supreme! If you fall, even when the new epoch begins and all things return to Nature, you will no longer be the strongest! The decline of The Three Pristine Ones will begin with you!"
"Perhaps."
An icy glint appeared in the Supreme’s eyes. He pressed down again with both hands. The truly Infinite Magical Power within the Demon Ancestor’s body showed signs of being suppressed, and blood spilled from her mouth as if it cost nothing!
Fu Xi grew anxious. He took a direct hit from the Lame Daoist and said angrily,
"Do you really want to fight to the bitter end?!"
He allowed himself to be pierced by the Lame Daoist’s attack and, while coughing up blood, walked to the Demon Ancestor’s side to stand with her.
Their auras began to merge. Her Infinite Cultivation and his Infinite True Spirit showed signs of converging. The Great Chaos rumbled, seeming to bow in reverence, to sing their praises!
"Brother..." The Demon Ancestor bit her lip, then took a deep breath. She joined hands with Fu Xi, and together they stared at the Supreme.
Now, a solemn expression appeared on the Supreme’s face as he carefully sized up the pair.
"Interesting. Fu Xi, could it be that you are the manifestation of Wa Huang’s ’God’?"
He pointed this out casually. The expressions of the Demon Ancestor and Fu Xi shifted slightly. The Blind Daoist and the Lame Daoist already knew this and were merely lost in thought.
It was the Ancient Bodhi Buddha, in contrast, who looked completely baffled.
’Wa Huang’s... God?’
He didn’t know the truth about the Goddess, the Demon Ancestor, and the others.
Fu Xi’s expression returned to calm. He stood beside the Demon Ancestor, the auras around them growing more Yuanrong, as if they were about to merge into one.
He said flatly,
"It seems Senior Supreme knows quite a lot. A pity you guessed wrong. I am not Wa Huang’s God, but I did receive Wa Huang’s bequest."
The Ancient Bodhi Buddha looked even more confused. ’Wa Huang’s bequest?’
’What bequest?’
The Supreme, ready to unseal the Eight Trigrams Furnace at a moment’s notice, asked with great interest,
"As I understand it, Wa Huang’s bequest is destined to one day become whole. When that day comes, which of you will be absorbed into the other?"
The pupils of both the Demon Ancestor and Fu Xi contracted sharply, especially the Demon Ancestor’s.
Until this moment, she had believed Wa Huang’s spirit manifested only within her own mind. She was terrified by the extent of the Supreme’s knowledge.
In her eyes, the Supreme had just become even more unfathomably mysterious...
"Naturally, I will be absorbed into my sister," Fu Xi declared, his voice firm and resonant.
The Demon Ancestor’s eyes reddened slightly, but she rejected it.
"That day will never come! But if it does, it will be my body that completes yours!"
Fu Xi said nothing. Just as he had when they were children, he gently took the Demon Ancestor’s hand and whispered,
"Since when does an older brother let his little sister suffer?"
The Demon Ancestor bit her lip tightly.
In her memories, when she was still young and naive, her brother was always by her side. Back then, she had no idea how to use her power.
Every time, her brother would go out hunting, slay massive beasts of the Barbaric Wilderness, and give the tastiest parts to her.
And every time, he would say those same words.
"Since when does an older brother let his little sister suffer?"
The Demon Ancestor opened her mouth.
"Brother..."
Fu Xi smiled at her.
The Supreme took it all in, his brow furrowed slightly. Just as the Ancient Bodhi Buddha had done before, he searched through countless past volumes of Ancient History, reflecting everything in his eyes.
Everything seemed normal—a harmonious brother and sister—but there was a strange sense of dissonance he couldn’t quite put his finger on, something ineffable.
This sense of dissonance was very similar to when the Silver Horned Child had become the Fu Xi Child.
The Supreme narrowed his eyes, lost in thought.
The Ancient Bodhi Buddha had also ceased fighting with the Blind Daoist. He coughed twice and said slowly,
"Although I don’t understand what you all are talking about, why don’t we end this battle here?"
The Demon Ancestor snapped back to reality. She took a deep breath and said coldly,
"The Supreme started all of this. Whether we cease fighting is naturally up to him. If he wishes to continue this deadly struggle, I have no objections!"
Fu Xi’s lips moved, but in the end, he said nothing.
The Supreme caressed the Eight Trigrams Furnace, glanced at the River of Time, and said indifferently,
"The Late Han Dynasty hasn’t concluded yet. Why don’t we continue? We can talk after it’s all over. It would be troublesome if some Fellow Daoist tried to pull any tricks..."
He struck out with his hand again. Within the lines of his palm lay the myriad principles of the ten thousand daos, profound beyond comprehension.

「Early Han」
"Cooperation..."
Lu Xuan suppressed the tremor in his heart. His expression remained unreadable as he asked in a focused tone,
"I can’t see through you. Cooperate?"
Fu Xi smiled.
"Senior need not be anxious. Just as I cannot see through to your foundation, who doesn’t have their own secrets?"
Lu Xuan asked impassively,
"I need to know something to be at ease... Why don’t you tell me about Taiyi, or perhaps about your many incarnations?"
Fu Xi performed a slight bow, his expression turning solemn.
"Taiyi is hidden extremely deep. He is far from as simple as he currently appears. Perhaps... he is still an ’Enlightened One’."
"Impossible."
Lu Xuan rejected it flatly and said calmly,
"The Dao Fruits are all accounted for. Of the great Nine Directions Dao Fruit positions, seven and a half are now taken. Every single one can be traced to its Source.
"The only Enlightened Ones are The Three Pristine Ones, Amitabha, and Bodhi. The Ancient Ones are Taiyi, Haotian, the Buddha Mother, and Houtu. There are no mistakes or omissions!"
He was telling the truth. Between heaven and earth, only one and a half Dao Fruit positions remained. Once all Nine Directions Dao Fruit positions were filled,
no matter how brilliant or stunning a latecomer might be, they would be unable to condense even half a Dao Fruit. At most, they could only attain ’Half a Dao Fruit Embryo’.
A Dao Fruit Embryo is not a Dao Fruit, just as Lu Xuan’s Physique currently contained Half a Dao Fruit Embryo, yet he was still merely a Daluo.
But Fu Xi just shook his head, his expression profound.
"Some things are never as simple as they appear. Otherwise, why would I say that Taiyi is a huge problem?"
After a pause, he added gravely,
"In short, we must absolutely not allow Taiyi to devour that Lu Xuan. Otherwise, the Celestial Myriad Realms will face a great upheaval, and even The Three Pristine Ones might be suppressed!"
Lu Xuan’s expression didn’t change, but his heart filled with even more doubt. ’This Fu Xi...’
He impassively asked again,
"Then what about your incarnations, scattered throughout all of time?"
Fu Xi pondered for a moment before replying with a smile,
"Senior should have seen that I possess the characteristics of Transcendence. My Innate Spiritual Light is infinite, and I use it to naturally replace certain living beings."
"I see."
Lu Xuan lowered his eyelids. He didn’t believe a word of it.
’I can also use my Innate Spiritual Light to possess others, but... can it really be done so seamlessly?’
’If the Celestial Blade Ancestor back then hadn’t been a being born from the Acupoints within my own body, deeply connected to me by Cause and Effect...’
’If it weren’t for the warning from my Dao Ancestor Embryo position and the Creation Jade Scroll...’
’Possession via Innate Spiritual Light is definitely not this capable.’
Lu Xuan gave ’Zhang Bairen’ a deep look and said flatly,
"In that case, cooperation isn’t out of the question. Lu Xuan is something of a fellow disciple to me, and protecting him is what I want to do anyway."
"Good. Excellent."
Fu Xi smiled and nodded. After a moment’s thought, he gently opened his hands.
The remaining mass of Shangqing Origin and a dense cluster of Yuqing Origin appeared within them!
With a push, the brilliant light surged into Lu Xuan’s body, and a vast, divine aura pulsed within him.
Lu Xuan could clearly feel the originally faint Primordial Origin in his left eye surge wildly, and his right leg became whole!
A true Eye of Primordial and a Leg of Shangqing were now completely integrated into Lu Xuan’s body!
Terrifying power surged through him. A brilliant, meaningful smile bloomed on Lu Xuan’s face.
"In that case, a pleasure cooperating with you."
"A pleasure!"
Fu Xi made a gesture of respect, and the figure of ’Zhang Bairen’ slowly dissipated.
After he had completely vanished,
Lu Xuan’s gaze grew profound, and he muttered to himself,
"Fu Xi..."
"What is it that you’re plotting? Fu Xi, Taiyi..."
A thousand thoughts raced through his mind. Why was Fu Xi targeting Taiyi?
If what Fu Xi said was true, what was Taiyi hiding?
Lu Xuan felt as if a great curtain was being drawn open.
A curtain that could blot out the heavens.
He pondered for a long time. Then, as if sensing something, he transformed himself into the likeness of ’Zhang Bairen’ and waited quietly.
Before long, Immortal Light descended from the sky, accompanied by a majestic voice.
"Zhang Bairen, you have performed good deeds in every lifetime. Today, your merits have reached Perfection. I shall guide you into the Celestial Court. Are you willing?"
A smile on his face, Lu Xuan gave a light, elegant bow.
"I am overjoyed."
And so, he was welcomed into the Celestial Court and became the Jade Emperor. He personally witnessed the establishment of the Nine Venerable Ones, then watched as his own historical imprint stormed the Celestial Court and crippled two of them.
All these events led up to the Late Han Dynasty.
In the final years of the Late Han Dynasty, a bloody battle between Daluos broke out and was now nearing its end. The ninetieth year had arrived, but the four divine altars were still glowing. For some unknown reason, the abdication was still not complete.
On this day, Douluo Palace trembled, shot into the sky, and flew away.
Amitabha had broken free from his seal. The sound of Buddhist chants resounded throughout the Great Heaven and Earth!
Meanwhile, in the Celestial Court.
The Jade Emperor suddenly opened his eyes. He spoke hesitantly, cautiously,
"Everyone, I have been thinking. In all my years as Lord of the Celestial Court, I have no achievements to my name. I had a sudden idea: I wish to forge a divine platform to grandly enfeoff the meritorious officials of the Celestial Court. What do you think?"
The Nine Venerable Ones, who had been looking down upon the scenes in the Human World with fear and trepidation, glanced over in surprise. Taibai frowned. He had a strange feeling that something was off about the Jade Emperor today.
But if asked for specifics, he couldn’t quite say what it was...
Lishan Old Mother gazed indifferently at the Jade Emperor and slowly nodded.
"That is not out of the question. You draft the decree, and we shall affix our seals to make it official."
The Jade Emperor nodded lightly. He glanced at the four divine altars in the Human World, listened to the vast Buddhist chants in his ears, and revealed a brilliant smile.
"Excellent."
