My Desire System: The More They Want Me, The Stronger I Get
Chapter 39: Cryo Warlord Rises
Clouds of neurotoxin swirled thick against the vault walls, hissing through high-pressure ceiling vents.
In the protected corner of the chamber, Kage wrapped its muscular body around Sierra, sealing her inside an airtight dome of dark ether.
Leo stood alone in the center of the room, looking down at the glowing blue crystal resting in the center of his palm.
He closed his fingers around Genesis Shard 2, letting his All-Spark core open wide to assimilate the raw cosmic frequency.
The crystal shattered into millions of radiant particles, sinking into his pores in a surge of searing heat.

Pure cosmic power rushed through his bloodstream, washing away the remnants of the toxic fog.
The brand on his chest flared with blazing violet light, pulsing in rhythm with the new D-Rank spatial frequency humming along his blade.
His physical senses sharpened tenfold, mapping structural vibrations, the pulse of ocean currents against the hull, and thermal signatures of the crew on the upper decks.
Leo drew the weapon from his inner jacket, feeling the sleek dark blade vibrate with sharp pressure.
The edge of the blade no longer merely reflected light, it distorted the space around it in faint ripples of purple mist.
He could feel the spatial lattice stretching around the razor edge, ready to sever physical matter with zero resistance.
He looked toward the blast doors sealing the vault exit, raising his weapon with one hand.
With a swift flick of his wrist, he swung the blade horizontally through the air.
A twenty-meter crescent wave of dark spatial ether erupted from the edge, shrieking through the chamber at supersonic speed.
The Void Arc sliced clean through the blast doors, cutting the reinforced bulkheads in half with zero friction.
The massive slabs fell outward into the service corridor with a thunderous crash, collapsing into smoking scrap.
Leo stepped through the severed breach, his silent footsteps gliding across the debris toward the promenade elevator.
The alarm sirens howled through the corridors as red emergency strobes painted the bulkheads in flashing light.
A full squad of eight syndicate enforcers armed with automatic plasma rifles rushed around the corner, aiming down the corridor.
"How did he get out of the gas?!" the squad leader shouted, raising his weapon with trembling hands.
"Open fire! Cut him down!"
Leo did not slow down or take cover.
He activated Phantom Greaves with a pulse of dark ether, disappearing into a blur of swift speed before the first volley of plasma bolts could cross the hall.
The plasma rounds superheated the air where he had been standing a millisecond prior, scorching holes into the far wall.
Leo reappeared inside their firing line, his blade drawing three clean horizontal arcs through the air.
All eight plasma rifles sheared in half at the barrel, their severed pieces clattering harmlessly against the floor.
The enforcers stared in horror at the cut weapons in their hands, their eyes wide with disbelief.
Before they could draw backup sidearms, Leo drove open palm strikes and sweeping heel kicks into their midsections.
Concussive kinetic shockwaves blasted outward, sending all eight men crashing into the bulkheads, knocking them out instantly.
He stepped over their unconscious bodies, taking the spiral staircase up to the grand ballroom on the upper deck.
The once-glamorous dining hall was abandoned, the wealthy patrons having fled onto lifeboats during the vault lockdown.
Flutes and half-empty bottles of vintage champagne littered the tables, forgotten in the panic.
Standing in the center of the vast ballroom under the gold chandeliers was Boss Flint, his tailored jacket discarded on the floor.
Flint was not holding a firearm or calling for reinforcements.
Along his neck and spine ran six cybernetic injection ports, pumping icy blue serum into his jugular veins.
"You really are a persistent slum rat, aren’t you?" Flint rasped, his voice vibrating with a distorted echo.
"You took my underground arena, you killed Raiko, and now you think you can rob my yacht?"
"I do not think," Leo answered calmly, stopping twenty paces away on the polished floor.
"I know."
"You think having a fancy knife makes you special?" Flint mocked, his cybernetic valves clicking as the serum turned his blood to liquid nitrogen.
"Olympus gave me the ultimate bio-enhancement, with this serum, I am the new king of District 9."
"You are just another corpse trying to buy power you cannot control," Leo replied softly, his voice echoing in the chilly air.
"We will see who ends up in a morgue drawer," Flint growled, clenching his fists as icy vapor poured from his knuckles.
Flint let out a booming roar as the full dose of cryogenic gene-serum flooded his muscular system.
His skin turned into a frozen sheet of jagged scales, his frame expanding until he stood over seven feet tall.
Spikes of permafrost jutted from his broad shoulders and elbows, encasing his torso in a carapace of glacial armor.
A freezing blizzard aura exploded outward from his body, dropping the ballroom temperature by sixty degrees in less than two seconds.
The frost spread rapidly across the room, flash-freezing the champagne fountains, chandeliers, and polished floor in sheets of ice.
The ocean air outside turned brittle, sending spiderweb fractures rippling across the thick window panes overlooking the dark bay.
From the frozen mist in his right hand, Flint condensed a six-foot double-headed battleaxe forged from dense cryo-ether.
The air around the battleaxe rippled with sub-zero killing intent, generating a high-pitched shriek as moisture froze out of the atmosphere.
"This is the power Apex gave me in exchange for the alien shipment," Flint roared, his frozen breath billowing like a winter tempest.
"A hundred thousand credits in cryogenic gene-mods, out here on the open water, my frost is absolute!"
Flint rested the frost-axe against his shoulder, glaring down at Leo with glowing white eyes.
"You are not leaving this yacht alive, boy," Flint snarled, pointing the razor-sharp edge of his axe at Leo’s chest.
"I am going to freeze your blood solid and turn your bones into cubes."
Leo raised his newly evolved blade, a cold smirk touching his lips as dark purple flames danced along his edge.
The two lethal auras collided in the center of the frozen ballroom, crackling with destructive friction before the first strike landed.
Spatial distortions warped against the creeping frostbite, setting the stage for a duel that would decide the fate of the entire offshore sector.
"Let us see if your brittle ice can hold up against a void."
