Chapter 139: Are You Sure About This?
Chapter 139: Are You Sure About This?
Morning light crept slowly through the curtains of West’s room.
For once, the world outside seemed quiet.
The events of the previous day still lingered like a shadow over everything… the third layer of the Eternal Ruins, the loot, the corpses, the fear in the eyes of the gang members, the lives that had been lost.
But for West, the night had ended in a very different way.
The memory of the hot spring encounter earlier that night still lingered in his mind. He couldn’t deny the fact that cumming insude of a girl felt different.
He was very worried afterwards since this could lead to a nine months aftermath that neither of them were ready for but Nina assured him that she’d buy contraceptives.
She just wanted his seed inside of her.
West then exhaled slowly as he recalled how the rest of their time in the spring went together…
“Nina.”
She looked up.
“Yeah?”
He studied her face for a moment before asking the question.
“Would you like to become an awakened?”
Nina blinked.
“Huh?”
Her eyebrows furrowed as she stared at him.
“I mean… who wouldn’t want to?” she said after a moment.
She shrugged lightly.
“But nobody gets to choose something like that.”
A faint smile appeared on West’s face.
“I do.”
The simple answer made Nina freeze.
“…What?”
West chuckled quietly.
“I’m forming a gang.”
Nina tilted her head slightly.
“A gang?”
“Yeah.”
He leaned back casually.
“I already made Jax an awakened.”
Nina’s eyes widened.
“You… what?”
“And,” West continued calmly, “I’ve decided to make you one too.”
For several seconds she simply stared at him.
Her brain struggled to process what she had just heard.
“You’re serious?”
West nodded.
“Completely.”
Nina slowly stepped backwards in astonishment.
“You’re saying you can… choose who becomes awakened?”
“More or less.”
She shook her head in disbelief.
“That doesn’t make any sense.”
“Lots of things don’t make sense lately,” West replied with a small grin.
Her eyes searched his face carefully.
“…Why me?”
That question came out with a more serious tone.
“If you truly can do something like this… why would you trust me with such information?”
West looked at her for a moment before answering.
“You followed a group of gang members into the Eternal Ruins.”
Nina lowered her gaze slightly.
“You could have died yesterday.”
She said nothing while West continued.
“You’re not awakened.”
“You had no power.”
“No backup.”
“And yet you still went in there.”
His eyes met hers again.
“For me.”
Silence filled the room.
“That’s enough reason for me.”
Nina felt her chest tighten slightly at his words.
She didn’t expect such a simple answer but somehow… it felt sincere.
A pretty smile blossomed across her face as she stepped closer to him.
“Are you sure about this?”
“Yeah.”
West leaned back casually.
“Besides, I need reliable people.”
“You already saw what the ruins are like.”
Nina nodded slowly.
She had… and the memory still made her uneasy.
“If I become awakened…” she said carefully, “then I’ll be involved in all of that, right?”
West didn’t sugarcoat it.
“Yep.”
“Danger.”
“Enemies.”
“Fights.”
“Probably more ruins.”
Nina took a deep breath before smiling.
“Then I guess I’ll watch your back. Make sure you don’t get into any more trouble.”
West smirked.
“How adorable.”
They looked at each other quietly for a moment.
Then Nina leaned forward slightly and their lips met again.
The kiss was softer this time and filled with emotion.
After a moment she pulled back slightly.
“So when does this awakening thing happen?”
West stood up.
“Tomorrow or the next after that.”
He stretched his arms slightly.
“For now… we rest.”
Nina nodded but before leaving the Spring, she paused at the edge.
“…West?”
“Yeah?”
“Thank you.”
Then she quietly slipped out of the spring.
…
As the memory faded, West leaned back again on his bed checking his Cuckpoints.
He gained over two thousand Cuckpoints from last night encounter.

Total Points: 7,940

West rubbed his chin thoughtfully.
“Not bad.”
He leaned back, staring at the ceiling.
An Awakening Voucher with three branches only cost 500 Cuck Points so he wasn’t worried about that.
His only issue now was making a choice between getting a summoning voucher, Transformation voucher or Bloodline voucher.
West narrowed his eyes slightly.
Summoning had clearly been the right choice for him.
His summons had already proven incredibly powerful.
But Nina…
What would suit her best?
“Hmm…”
He thought about it for a while then decided to push it to the back of his mind for now.
He would decide tomorrow.
The sky was still pale when the buses arrived outside the accommodation.
Students quietly loaded their luggage with heavy moods.
Everyone knew why the trip had ended early and with three spare seats on the bus, it felt emptier than before.
No one spoke much during the loading process.
West stood outside the bus with Jax beside him.
“Hey,” West said, waving down one of the teachers.
The tired-looking teacher turned toward him.
“Yes?”
“Can Jax ride with us?”
The teacher glanced at Jax and then at
Word had already spread that West had fought in the ruins and Jax was included.
Which also made Jax… an awakened.
The teacher immediately nodded.
“Of course.”
Who in their right mind would refuse not just one but two awakened?
“Thanks.”
The two boys climbed onto the bus and the long ride home began shortly afterward.
The trip back felt much quieter than the ride that had brought them there.
Students stared out windows, some slept while others whispered softly about the ruins.
The memories were still fresh.
Around 10a.m Sunday morning, everyone finally got home.
The school trip had ended… but the story of what happened in the Eternal Ruins would spread for weeks, months and even years to come.
…
…
Later that evening, West sat alone in his room.
The door was locked and the floor around him was covered in items…
Not just ordinary items… It was covered in an enormous amount of loot.
