My Child and I Married a Billionaire

Chapter 434: They’re All Scum

  • Next Chapter

Faye Fisher suddenly started throwing a tantrum, kicking and screaming as she thrashed around in the car. Wyatt Wynn’s eyelid twitched in frustration.

The security guards at the club’s entrance were already looking their way. She was making such a scene, it would be strange if onlookers didn’t get the wrong idea.

"I won’t throw you out, I won’t! I’m sorry, I was wrong, okay? Stop making a scene. Let’s just leave. Look outside, there are so many people. They’ll laugh at you if they hear this."

"Who’s laughing at me? Who dares to laugh at me? I’ll kill them! Where are they? Where? Just watch, I’ll go out there and beat them to death!"

Wyatt Wynn had been trying to scare her into behaving, but Faye Fisher took it as a provocation. With her shoulder exposed, she tried to open the car door to go fight them. Wyatt really had to hand it to her.

"Miss, that’s not what I meant. You’re really... Your tolerance for alcohol is terrible. If Zeke Walton ever dares to drink with you again, I’m not letting him hear the end of it!"

"Alright, alright, stop it. Be a good girl, baby. Behave. I’ll take you home right now. Whatever it is, can we talk about it when we get home?"

If he didn’t calm her down, she was really going to become the laughingstock of the club. Wyatt Wynn had no choice but to pull her into his arms, cooing and kissing her until she finally settled down.

While she was quiet, Wyatt Wynn hurried to the driver’s seat, ready to take her straight back to the Jacobs Family estate.

But less than five minutes after he started driving, she languidly poked her head forward from the back seat.

"Darling, why are you still playing your game? Aren’t you coming to bed? I’m dead tired."

Wyatt Wynn instinctively glanced in the rearview mirror and was so shocked he nearly sent the car flying off the road.

’Hadn’t she just calmed down? How could she...’

Her dress had vanished into thin air. ’She... she’s trying to kill me!’

"Why are you...? You’ll catch a cold like this, baby. Pull the covers up, go back to sleep first, and I’ll be right there, okay?"

"Not okay! I can’t sleep alone. Come with me, darling. Hurry up, or I’ll smash your phone!"

Faye Fisher was incredibly willful.

As an only child who had been pretty and smart since she was young, she was thoroughly spoiled.

Ever since she and Wyatt Wynn had made their relationship official, the two had always slept together, and she never allowed him to play on his phone when it was time for bed.

As she spoke, she reached out, aiming to smash the car’s infotainment screen on the center console. Fearing an accident, Wyatt Wynn could only swerve and pull the car over under the shade of some trees by the roadside.

Fortunately, this area was quiet. The streetlights cast a dim yellow glow, and there weren’t many pedestrians.

The moment the car stopped, Faye Fisher, like a nimble little fish, swam into the front passenger area and flopped into his lap.

It was just like the countless times she had draped herself over his gaming chair while Wyatt Wynn was playing games.

She wrapped her arms around his neck.

"If you don’t come to bed with me, I’ll just lie here in your lap so you can’t play your game. Hmph."

Wyatt Wynn was completely at a loss with her.

Her memories were stuck a few years in the past, her mind completely filled with him.

She might be headstrong and willful, but her love for him was real, and he couldn’t bring himself to be harsh with her.

The air conditioning was on in the car, and with two vents in the driver’s area, it would be a miracle if Faye Fisher didn’t catch a cold by morning. Wyatt Wynn could only hold her tight.

"Aren’t you cold? Okay, okay, okay, I’ll sleep with you. Let’s go back to the bed, alright?"

Faye Fisher immediately smiled. "Carry me back."

’She’s petite and can wriggle around in the car, but how is a big guy like me supposed to do that?’

And it was impossible to carry her from outside the car.

Wyatt Wynn could only try to placate her. "I’ll go get a little umbrella. Be good and go back on your own."

"There aren’t any left! We used them all, remember? Yesterday I asked you to buy more, but you said we wouldn’t need them anymore because you wanted to have a baby with me. Why are you saying we need them now?"

Wyatt Wynn: "..."

This had also happened while they were dating. She had somehow seamlessly stitched that memory into the present moment.

"Silly girl, we haven’t even graduated yet. How can we have a baby? Be good. You go back first, I’ll go buy some and be right back."

But Faye Fisher was hard to coax. "No, I want to be with you. I want to go with you. I love you so much, I can’t stand being away from you for even a minute. Let’s go buy them together."

Worn down by her persistence, Wyatt Wynn had no choice but to recline the seat and awkwardly clamber into the back.

He had just pushed the seat back upright when Faye Fisher eagerly threw her arms around him again.

Wyatt Wynn was a normal man, and he did still have feelings for Faye Fisher.

Gritting his teeth, sparks flew between them once more.

「Meanwhile, with Brandon Jacobs.」

When he arrived at the airport, Donna Thorne had been smart enough to wait for him at the exit.

Although she was dressed plainly and wore no makeup, her innate model-like presence made her stand out, and Brandon Jacobs spotted her instantly.

In the car, he asked about the general situation. After learning that she had already filed a police report, Brandon Jacobs took her directly to a hotel and used his own ID to get her a room.

"I’ve booked it for a week for now, so you can stay here. I don’t have much cash on me, only five thousand yuan, but take it for now. I’m sure the police will have results soon. If there’s nothing after a week, I’ll take you to get new identification documents. For the next few days, just walk around Veridia, get familiar with the city. You can go check out the live-streaming hub, ask around, and get a feel for things. Don’t rush into finding a job."

Donna Thorne was moved to tears with gratitude.

"Thank you, Mr. Jacobs. I really don’t know what to say."

"You don’t have to say anything. Just focus on finding a good job and getting out of this predicament as soon as possible. As long as you’re doing better each time I see you in the future, that’s enough."

Brandon Jacobs maintained a strictly business-like demeanor.

"I’m leaving now. You should head up. Hold on to your key card, lock your door, and don’t just open it for anyone. Always ask who it is before you open it. Call me if you need anything."

Donna Thorne watched him leave before returning to her room.

In the car, Brandon Jacobs recalled Elsa’s face, then Donna Thorne’s, and then Faye Fisher’s. He felt a wave of irritation.

’I’m not going home.’

Going home tonight was bound to be awkward anyway. ’Might as well just go to the club.’

He didn’t expect, however, that as soon as he reached his office, his assistant would tell him that Young Mr. Walton was staying inside.

"He got drunk with a lady tonight."

’That bastard. He’s been getting drunk more and more often lately. He wouldn’t bring a woman to stay here in my place, would he?’

Their group was very particular about certain things.

Anything went between brothers, but women of questionable origin were never qualified to be in their presence, let alone enter his office.

"No, no," the assistant said hurriedly, seeing his expression turn cold.

"Mr. Wynn took the lady home. Young Mr. Walton is the only one staying here."

’Taken home by Mr. Wynn? Mr. Wynn knows her too?’

"It seems so. The woman was drunk and kept calling out his name."

"So tonight it was Young Mr. Wynn, Young Mr. Walton, and that woman drinking together?"

"No, it was Young Mr. Walton and the woman drinking together. When they got drunk, he called Young Mr. Wynn to come pick them up."

Brandon Jacobs’s brow furrowed.

Was there some woman in their circle who was a mutual friend of both Wyatt Wynn and Zeke Walton? How could he not know about her?

’Or have those two bastards been meeting new people behind his back?’

They were always calling him a scumbag, each one pretending to be more devoted than the last, but in the end, they were all goddamn fakes.
