My Child and I Married a Billionaire
Chapter 433: If It Can’t Go On, Just End It
Glass after glass, the two of them were soon very drunk.
Zeke Walton was usually the type to throw caution to the wind when he drank, but today, for Faye Fisher’s sake, he was making a rare effort to be a gentleman.
He knew all too well that it didn’t matter if he didn’t go home, or where he passed out drunk. But Faye couldn’t do that.
If she dared to stay out all night, all hell would break loose tomorrow.
So, his tongue thick with alcohol, he gave Wyatt Wynn a call.
Wyatt Wynn rushed to the private room. He hadn’t seen Faye Fisher in days, and now, seeing her again, she was sprawled out messily, alone with another man in a club’s private room. He was furious.
Although he knew perfectly well that there was nothing going on between her and Zeke Walton, and that Zeke had no interest in her that way, there was still a matter of propriety between men and women. If word got out, it would look bad.
Besides, the Jacobs Family’s status was anything but ordinary, and Brandon Jacobs’s father was in a delicate situation right now.
He grabbed Faye Fisher’s arm, yanked her up, and couldn’t stop himself from scolding her.
"Faye Fisher, is there no end to this? Acting out like this every day, making a scene—when are you going to stop? Do you have to make a complete fool of yourself before you’re satisfied? Get up! Stand straight! Look at you! Do you even look human right now?"
Zeke Walton was jolted awake by his shouting and staggered to his feet.
"What are you doing? Why are you yelling at her? Don’t you yell at her! That bastard Brandon Jacobs, he’s married but still calls other women right in front of her. Do you have any idea how much pain she’s in? She has no friends, no family, she married into this place from so far away all by herself. Who else is she going to find but me? And you’re yelling at her? If you have the energy for this, why don’t you go yell at Brandon Jacobs?"
Wyatt Wynn was speechless.
’Since Brandon Jacobs treats their marriage so lightly, without a single moment of sincerity, and Faye Fisher is so miserable, maybe they should just end it!’
He steadied the stumbling Faye Fisher and tried to reason with her.
"Why don’t you just divorce him? I’ll talk to Brandon Jacobs and get him to set you free! Whether you want to go abroad or back to Coalmont, just do something you like. If you don’t have money, I’ll give it to you. I’ll give you however much you need. You’re still so young. What’s the point of living like this every day? You’re going to drink yourself into an early grave!"
Faye Fisher couldn’t hear what he was saying clearly. All she knew was that he was here, talking to her.
Looking at Wyatt Wynn’s handsome face, she raised her hands and hooked them around his neck.
"Don’t frown. Frowning makes you old, and it doesn’t look good. No frowning~"
Wyatt Wynn was at a loss.
’I’m trying to talk to you about something as serious as divorce, and you...’
’Forget it. What’s the point of trying to reason with a drunk?’
"Zeke, I’m taking her home. Do you need a ride too?"
The last thing Zeke Walton wanted was to go home.
He didn’t want to go on any more blind dates. Not a single woman his mother had found for him was to his liking.
And Amina... his thoughts drifted to Amina again.
’He’d been so happy with her yesterday. He missed Amina so much.’
"I don’t wanna go back. I’m not going back."
Fine. In any case, nothing would happen to him here at Brandon Jacobs’s club. Wyatt Wynn supported Faye Fisher and left.
Back at the car, he bundled her into the back seat. Just as Wyatt was about to leave, Faye grabbed him by the collar.
"Where are you going? It’s already dark. Why aren’t you staying home to sleep? Where are you going?"
’Home? She thinks my car is her home? Does she think I’m Brandon Jacobs?’
Wyatt Wynn tried to pry her hands off. "This is my car. You’re drunk. I’m taking you home now. Stop messing around. Let go."
Faye Fisher refused to let go. "No, I won’t let you leave. Wyatt Wynn, I don’t want to break up with you! I was wrong, okay? I fell for that woman’s trick. I shouldn’t have misunderstood you. I’m sorry, please don’t be mad anymore, okay?"
’So she hadn’t mistaken him for someone else. She knew he was Wyatt Wynn.’
’Hadn’t she acted all magnanimous and nonchalant, saying they should just pretend that night never happened? But looking at her now, it was obvious she hadn’t forgotten the past. She was still hung up on the reason they broke up years ago.’
Wyatt Wynn felt a pang of guilt.
He knew Faye Fisher hadn’t moved on. The fact that she had ended up like this, this drunk, was all his fault.
"I’m not mad at you. Okay, okay, just get some sleep first. Let go of me, please?"
"No. Sleep with me."
As she spoke, Faye Fisher pressed her body against his and tried to kiss him on the lips.
"You haven’t held me in so long. I miss you so much. Hold me."
This was happening right at the entrance of the club.
Although no one knew about Faye Fisher’s relationship with Brandon Jacobs, everyone knew him. If any rumors were to start...
Wyatt Wynn had no choice but to get in the car and shut the door.
"Faye, you’re drunk."
"I’m not drunk. I miss you. My mind is full of you. Just hold me."
She wasn’t wearing heavy makeup today. She had on a simple, elegant black dress, her soft hair flowing down her back. Her face was flushed from the alcohol, her eyes were glistening, and her voice was soft and cloying.
The way she nuzzled against him, she was like an adorable kitten.
Reason told Wyatt Wynn to push her away, but he just couldn’t do it.
"Alright, alright. I’ll hold you, I’ll hold you."
He pulled her into his arms, patting her on the back.
"There, there. Go to sleep now."
Faye Fisher lay her head on his chest, listening to his steady, strong heartbeat. Her hand, which had been gripping his collar, soon began to misbehave, slipping down past his neckline.
Wyatt Wynn tensed up. "What are you doing? Stop messing around."
"I’m not messing around. I want to marry you. I want to have your children. Didn’t you say that if I had a daughter, she’d be adorable? I want to have two daughters for you."
Wyatt Wynn broke out in goosebumps.
’He hadn’t... done anything in days, and his body was being very honest. Her words were practically fatal.’
But he knew this was wrong.
Last time, he had been muddle-headed from drinking. Today, he hadn’t had a single drop.
"Don’t be like this, Faye. You’re drunk. You’re married, you know? You have a husband now."
"Is that right? You like it like this?"
It was as if Faye Fisher couldn’t hear him at all, completely lost in her own world.
The moment the words left Wyatt Wynn’s mouth, she placed her hand on a familiar spot.
She touched him with the practiced ease of their dating days, all while looking up at him and blinking her big eyes.
Wyatt Wynn sucked in a sharp breath. Every hair on his body stood on end.
"I’m talking to you! What are you doing? Stop touching me."
"I know. And like this, too."
Faye Fisher continued to ignore his words, lowering her head and burying her face in the crook of his neck.
Her soft cheek rubbed against his neck, and the silky strands of her hair brushed past the tip of his nose.
He had to admit, her memory was excellent. She remembered every one of his weak spots perfectly, and she had him wrapped around her little finger.
Wyatt Wynn felt like he was about to explode.
Struggling to keep his composure, he warned, "Faye Fisher, stop it. If you don’t stop, I’ll throw you out of the car."
Faye Fisher let out a kitten-like murmur and suddenly lifted her head. He thought he had scared her into stopping.
Instead, she let go of Wyatt Wynn, reached back, and started pulling at her own dress.
The shoulders of the dress were designed with elastic. Normally, it looked demure and dignified, covering her completely. But with a single pull from her, one shoulder was instantly exposed.
She kept pulling, and Wyatt Wynn scrambled to cover her up.
"Are you crazy? Fine, I won’t throw you out, okay? Just stop it!"
Faye Fisher wailed, "I will so! I will! You don’t love me anymore! You want me to get out of the car! You’re a bastard! You don’t want me! You want me to die! I don’t want to live anymore!"
Wyatt Wynn was speechless.
’Didn’t she seem like she couldn’t hear a word he was saying? How come she heard him the second he threatened to throw her out?’
