Chapter 872: Suddenly Unconscious
Chapter 872: Suddenly Unconscious
After listening to Clara’s explanation about everything that happened in the city while she secluded herself in the underground training room to create the ultimate magic spell, Morgana couldn’t help but sigh softly.
“I thought I would meet the daughter of Nyx — the girl who killed Cassius and his men single-handedly… it’s a pity they both suddenly disappeared from the city…” she murmured before storing the new spell she had crafted inside her magic pouch.
Once they returned to the main office, Morgana looked at Clara as she sat down in her chair. The atmosphere in the room was dark, a strange stillness lingering in the air.
“Have you tried contacting Darius? What did he say about this matter?” she asked as she poured herself a cup of tea.
“We did contact Lord Darius, and we succeeded. Unfortunately, he also doesn’t know exactly where Lady Nyx has gone with her daughter,” Clara replied immediately.
She continued, “He said he’s trying his best to find any leads on Lady Nyx, but so far he hasn’t found anything. It’s as if Lady Nyx and her daughter suddenly vanished into thin air.”
Morgana remained silent for a moment after hearing Clara’s explanation, then sighed deeply, clearly disappointed.
“How troublesome… She disappeared without even informing me. What a heartless friend — truly vicious,” she muttered quietly before taking a small sip of her tea.
“You may go handle the affairs now… If no one supervises them, they’ll just spend their time drinking and wasting hours.” Morgana said after a brief thought.
“As you wish, Mistress.” Clara nodded and immediately left the room, the sound of her heels clicking fading as she walked away.
Once Clara left, Morgana finished her tea and moved to the sofa, staring at the ceiling with a dazed look.
“To think that even Darius can’t find information on Nyx and her daughter… it must have wounded his pride quite deeply,” she muttered with a small grin.
“Her disappearance is truly mysterious… just where could she have gone? Why is no one able to locate her?” she wondered, unable to stop thinking about where Nyx could have hidden.
Meanwhile, Darius was furious as every lead regarding Nyx and her daughter turned out useless. At this point, he didn’t even know if Nyx and her daughter were still on the continent at all.
Suddenly, a realization struck him, making his eyes widen in disbelief. He swallowed nervously, thinking again and again about the possibility.
“There is no way they would go to that god-forsaken continent… this is impossible…” he muttered, his voice trembling as his face broke into a cold sweat.
“C-Could they really have gone to the Demonic Continent? There is no way she would go there… everyone knows how dangerous it is to even approach that continent!” His voice echoed off the walls.
However, no matter how much he tried to deny the possibility, he couldn’t stop thinking that Nyx and her daughter truly went to the Demonic Continent.
“But why? Why would they go to the Demonic Continent? There are countless dangers there… and no one has stepped foot on that land for more than a hundred years.”
Darius pondered this for hours, but he couldn’t find a single valid reason for Nyx and her daughter to travel to such a desolate, deadly place.
Suddenly, his secretary Natalia entered the room with a stack of papers in her hands, smiling as her eyes landed on Darius.
“Lord Darius, should we continue investigating the disappearance of Lady Nyx and her daughter?” Natalia asked softly as she sat beside him.
“Continue the investigation,” Darius replied immediately. “There is a possibility Lady Nyx and her daughter are still on the continent. But to find them, we must expand our search.”
“I’ll inform our spies right away. Rest assured, my Lord — we will definitely find information about them.” Natalia smiled and prepared to stand up.
“But Lord Darius, do you have any idea where she might have gone?” she asked, raising a brow.
“I’m not entirely sure… however, I believe Nyx went to the Demonic Continent with her daughter and that strange group of people,” Darius said after a moment of silence, his expression serious.
Gulp! Clara swallowed nervously at those words, her eyes widening in disbelief. “There is no way… that’s impossible…”
“It’s only my speculation, there’s no need to take it too seriously,” Darius replied with a soft smile. “Besides, it’s not our place to decide where they should or shouldn’t go. It’s up to them.”
“But still… this sounds too unreal.” Clara sighed deeply, struggling to process it.
“I understand, Clara. However, do you remember that group of beautiful women who appeared at our headquarters and asked about the Demonic Continent?”
Clara thought for a moment before nodding. “I do. They were the most beautiful women I’ve ever seen in my life. I couldn’t forget them even if I wanted to. It’s impossible to forget them.”

A convocation of giant eagles soared across the sky, the air trembling beneath the powerful flapping of their massive wings. As they moved, they radiated a formidable presence.
Each eagle carried four people on its back, seated on luxurious chairs attached securely to the creature. All of them wore white robes with golden linings and intricate divine designs.
They emitted a powerful presence, and every face remained calm and composed, not a single word spoken among them.
Each one was armed with a legendary weapon — artifacts powerful enough to kill SS-rank monsters with a single strike.
“This is the place where our two lower-ranking gods perished mysteriously. Their deaths remain hidden behind a veil that even His Majesty, the God King, could not pierce,” spoke one of them — the god with the most overwhelming presence among the group.
“Though they were merely lower-ranking gods and their deaths hold little value to us, we cannot ignore the fact that someone in this world possesses the ability to slay gods.”
Hearing this, everyone’s expression hardened. Veins surfaced on their temples; some clenched their fists, while others simply snorted coldly in anger.
But the leader continued, fully aware of the humiliation and threat looming over them — someone had dared to step on divine authority.
“Our Lord has given us a single command: capture the human who poses a threat to gods — and bring him to the High Heaven for judgment.”
He looked at everyone and raised his voice, “Do all of you understand the purpose of our journey?”
“We understand!” the group responded in unison, voices echoing across the skies.
“Good.” The leader nodded with satisfaction. “Our destination is the Elven Kingdom — the last place those two lower gods were seen before their deaths.”
And he continued, “My advice to all of you: do not hold back under any circumstances when confronting that human.”
“If you underestimate him, the only outcome will be your deaths. Also, remember — he has powerful allies. Do not underestimate them either.”
“Leader, what about the civilians?” one of the gods asked.
“When have we ever cared for mortal lives? Ignore them — as if they do not exist. Our priority is capturing the human alive, no matter what.” the leader replied coldly, leaving no room for doubt.
All the other gods nodded firmly. Their objective was clear: capture the mortal who dared challenge the heavens and drag him to the High Heaven.

“Darling, what’s taking you so long? Come here and sleep with me,” Anna Grace said to Yuan with a soft smile, making playful, seductive gestures with her fingers.
The others had already lain down on the bed and pretended to sleep, but they were silently listening and watching everything with their Divine Sense, keeping an eye on Anna Grace since she was always unpredictable.
Yuan nodded with a smile, and just as he was about to get on the bed, he suddenly clutched his head and let out a sharp scream as an intense pain struck his skull.
“Aaaaaaaaa!!!” Yuan shouted in agony, feeling as if someone had driven a nail straight into his mind.
A second later, his body went limp — he lost consciousness and collapsed onto the floor with a heavy thud.
“DARLING!!” Anna Grace cried out in panic, leaping off the bed instantly and landing beside him.
“Darling! What happened to you?! Open your eyes! Don’t scare me like this…!” her frantic voice echoed through the room, filled with fear and desperation.
Mireya and the others immediately jumped out of bed, rushing to surround Yuan from all sides, panic and confusion written all over their faces.
“What happened to him? Why is he like this again?” Lily whispered in a trembling voice, her worry growing heavier by the second.
“I-I don’t know… He suddenly screamed and fainted right before getting on the bed…” Anna Grace murmured shakily as she held Yuan tightly in her arms, her eyes turning moist with fear.
Meanwhile, as soon as Yuan became unconscious, he found himself standing in the middle of a brutal war. Looking down at his hands, he saw that he was gripping a spear.
The spear and his hands were drenched in fresh blood; he could even smell the metallic scent of gore. Then something sticky smeared his cheek, and he immediately used his hand to wipe it away.
“Blood?? Just where am I this time? Why now of all times?” he muttered to himself, feeling bewildered by the scene.
Everywhere he looked, men clashed and corpses piled high; blood flowed like a river and battlecries shook the heavens.
“Commander, those filthy dogs of the Celestial Emperor are running away!” one of the men in black armor shouted as he swung and beheaded a soldier in golden armor.
“Don’t let a single one of them escape! Chase them to the ends of the world!” Yuan’s mouth moved of its own accord, and the voice that came out sounded like an older, more seasoned version of himself.
’Who is this Celestial Emperor? Was he some great power in the past?’ Yuan wondered as the name stirred something inside him he could not recall.
“You heard that? Let’s chase those bastards and cut them down! Hahaha!” the black-armored soldiers laughed and surged after the golden-armored troops.
“Run away! Save your lives! Reinforcements still haven’t reached us!”
The men in golden armor cried out as they fled across the field, dropping weapons and running for their lives.
Suddenly the wind rose as tens of thousands of golden-armored soldiers appeared in the sky, looking down at the battlefield with contempt.
One of the men in black armor turned to Yuan with a wide grin and said, “Commander, the reinforcements of that damned Emperor have arrived! Shall we begin the carnage?”
