My Celestial Ascension

Chapter 580: Yuan’s Offer

Inside the room, Lily, Rose, Julie, Ava, and Leah used the Divine Body and Soul Merging Sutra to merge into one person again, focusing on increasing their mastery of the technique. They could only expand the number of people who could merge by enhancing both their comprehension and control of the technique, making this type of training essential.

Meanwhile, Anna, Grace, Emma, Mireya, Sylvia, Valeria, Fang Xiaotan, and Xi Meili took a different approach. They all sat on the soft grass in the lotus position, placing the Divine Body and Soul Merging Sutra in the center where everyone could easily read it. All eight of them began increasing their comprehension of the technique. To do so, they needed to read and study the sutra multiple times.

There was even a chance one of them might achieve enlightenment during the process, given their incredible talents that could shake the heavens. The possibility of this happening was quite high.

“I hope they manage to improve their mastery of the technique… I wonder what their merged form will look like. I bet her appearance will defy logic,” Yuan mumbled in a dazed voice, his eyes fixed on Anna and the others, who were deep in meditation.

Yuan then retrieved a wooden chair from his system storage and sat down, watching over them. Since this wasn’t his private property, anyone could come by at any moment, and he didn’t want anyone disturbing his wives, especially considering how beautiful they were.

Just then, the woman—a fusion of Lily, Rose, Julie, Ava, and Leah—arrived in front of Yuan with a small smile on her face and sat on his lap.

She wrapped her arms around his neck, kissed him on the cheek, and asked, “Yuan, what do you think I should give Little Zoe? I don’t have anything useful for her except for a few Earth and Spirit Grade swords in my spatial ring.”

“Neither of those treasures is something her mortal body could handle, and they’re far too heavy for her. I just can’t think of an appropriate gift for that little genius,” the woman added, her voice a little dazed.

Although Little Zoe wasn’t a cultivator yet, Lily could tell just by looking that she had incredible talent with the sword. She even suspected Little Zoe might possess an Innate Sword Constitution.

‘If only Little Zoe were a cultivator like us…’ the woman sighed inwardly.

Suddenly, an idea popped into her mind, but she wasn’t sure if it was a good one. She wanted Yuan’s opinion before making a decision.

“What’s with that look, dear wife? What are you thinking about so deeply?” Yuan asked, noticing her thoughtful expression. He was curious about what was going on in her head.

Snapping out of her thoughts, the woman smiled and said, “I was thinking… how about we make Miss Zara and Little Zoe cultivators before we leave the capital city?”

“Making them cultivators, huh? It’s doable for Little Zoe since she hasn’t awakened her mana yet. Her body doesn’t contain any mana, and without a mana heart, she’s eligible to learn a cultivation technique and become a cultivator,” Yuan replied after thinking it over for a moment.

Yuan continued, “As for Miss Zara, I know she has a Mana Heart in her body. Unless we destroy that Mana Heart and extract all the mana from her, it’s practically impossible for her to become a cultivator.”

“Besides, I doubt Miss Zara would agree to Dual Cultivate with me just for the sake of gaining power. She’s a kind and dignified woman. She’s not someone who would compromise her principles just to become stronger,” he added. “I really respect her. She’s treated all of us with such kindness, almost as if we’re her own family, despite only knowing us for a short time—except for Lily, of course.”

“You’re right about that…” the woman agreed, though a hint of desperation crossed her face. “But is there no other way to cleanse the mana from her body, without resorting to Dual Cultivation?”

She didn’t want Miss Zara to remain weak in a world that only valued the strong. This world was cruel—those without power had no say in anything, and the weak were slaughtered mercilessly.

With the city’s recent rise in popularity, Lily was certain crime rates would increase in the future. Surviving without strength would be incredibly difficult. Yuan didn’t want anything bad to happen to Miss Zara or Little Zoe after they left, especially since they had been so kind to him and his wives.

After a moment of thought, Yuan recalled a certain type of pill in his possession and said, “While I don’t have any other methods to remove the mana from her, we could try using the **Spirit Cleansing Pills**. They’re designed to purify Spiritual Energy, but they might just work on her.”

“Then let’s test them out on Sister Zara! Who knows, a miracle might happen,” the woman suggested.

“We can try, but we don’t know what would happen if the pills don’t work. It might cripple her permanently,” Yuan cautioned.

“That’s true, it’s a possibility we can’t ignore. But we also can’t be sure that it would cause her harm.”

Yuan sighed, then added, “How about we ask Miss Zara if she even wants to become a cultivator? We can’t force her if she’s not interested.”

“You’re right,” the woman said with a nod and a stiff smile. “It all depends on her decision. We can’t push her into something she doesn’t want.”

A few minutes later, Yuan sensed a change in the air. Anna, Grace, Emma, Mireya, Sylvia, Valeria, Fang Xiaoyan, and Xi Meili had started experiencing enlightenment at the same time.

“Incredible… I can’t believe it. They’re all receiving enlightenment at once… I’m speechless!” Yuan mumbled in shock.

Even one person experiencing enlightenment was rare, but for all of his wives to do so simultaneously was beyond extraordinary. They were defying the natural order of the world.

If the people from the Nine Heavens were to witness this scene, they would probably cough up blood from sheer disbelief. After all, something like this was almost unheard of.

“How long do you think they’ll take to finish their Enlightenment?” the woman asked, frowning deeply.

“It’s hard to say… They could finish in a few hours. But then again, I could be wrong, and it might take longer,” Yuan replied with a smile.

“I see…” The woman didn’t respond further, her curious gaze now fixed on Anna and the others as they meditated.

Just then, Miss Zara arrived, carrying a large tray laden with cookies, a teapot, and several cups. When she saw Anna and the others in deep meditation, and Yuan sitting in a chair with an unfamiliar woman in his lap, she was stunned. The scene was quite unexpected, and something about the woman seemed strangely familiar, though she couldn’t place it.

“What are you two lovebirds doing? And why are they meditating like that?” she asked, puzzled, as she set the tray down on the grass.

“Shh! Miss Zara, keep your voice down. You might distract them,” Yuan whispered quickly. “They’re experiencing a rare phenomenon known as Enlightenment. It’s considered taboo to disturb anyone in that state.”

“Enlightenment, huh?” Miss Zara mumbled, lowering her voice immediately. “I’ve never heard of that, but I can feel an unfathomable aura coming from them.”

After setting the tray on the grass, she poured tea for Yuan and the woman sitting with him. Looking at the unfamiliar woman, Miss Zara asked, “By the way, Yuan, who is this woman with you? I don’t think I’ve seen her before. Would you mind introducing us?”

Yuan smiled and explained, “Actually, this beauty is a combination of Lily, Julie, Ava, Rose, and Leah. They’ve been practicing a unique technique that allows them to merge into one person.”

“What?!” Miss Zara’s eyes widened in disbelief.

‘Cultivation is truly miraculous,’ she thought to herself, shaking her head slightly. ‘With enough power, you can do almost anything… even become a god. I shouldn’t be surprised by anything anymore.’

A few minutes later, while sipping tea, Yuan noticed Miss Zara staring at Anna and the others with a dazed expression. He asked, “Miss Zara, if we gave you the chance to become a cultivator along with your daughter, would you accept it?”

“Become a cultivator, huh? I… I don’t know what to say. This is so sudden,” Miss Zara responded, her voice filled with surprise. Yuan’s offer had clearly caught her off guard.

Yuan and the woman on his lap weren’t surprised by her reaction. After all, his offer wasn’t something ordinary—it had the potential to completely change her and her daughter’s lives.

Miss Zara silently contemplated the offer.

‘Should I accept and become a cultivator?’ she thought. She understood how powerful cultivation was, but what kind of life would that lead to? People might fear her strength, or some might even try to recruit her for their own purposes. Yet, her primary concern was her daughter. She couldn’t risk losing the only family she had left.

After taking a bite of a cookie and sipping her tea, Miss Zara finally said, “Can you give me some time to think about this? It’s a decision that would change everything for us.”

“Of course, Sister Zara. Take your time,” the woman sitting on Yuan’s lap replied with a warm smile. freeweɓnovel.cѳm

“Thank you.”

A few minutes later, Anna and the others finished their Enlightenment and slowly opened their eyes. To their surprise, they saw Miss Zara sitting with Yuan, deep in conversation.

“Miss Zara, you brought tea for us. How thoughtful of you,” Anna said with a smile as she walked toward them.
