Chapter 565: End Of The Demon Lord
“Is your brain working properly after getting hit by me? What are you muttering about?” Grandpa Fang looked at the Demon Lord with a puzzled expression.
Grandma Fang was equally confused about what the Demon Lord was saying and thought he might have gone mad after being beaten by Grandpa Fang.
‘Why did the Demon Lord look frightened after seeing Yuan’s face?’ Grandma Fang wondered, her face reflecting her confusion.
Yuan and his wives were also baffled. They couldn’t believe that such a powerful demon would show fear toward Yuan just by seeing his face.
‘What is happening to the Demon Lord? Why is he reacting that way to my face and my sword? He looks scared for some reason… Yuan narrowed his eyes at the Demon Lord, carefully watching his every move.
However, the Demon Lord ignored them all, continuing to stare at Yuan. The longer he looked, the more frightened he became.
“That aura around your body! And that sword in your hand! After so many years, you’ve finally decided to return to the Secret Realm, huh? I’ve been waiting for you—Lord!” A massive smile appeared on the Demon Lord’s face, though his eyes still held a trace of fear toward Yuan.
“What?!” Grandpa Fang and Grandma Fang exclaimed in shock upon hearing the Demon Lord address Yuan as ‘Lord’.
They couldn’t tell if Yuan resembled ‘The Lord’ since they had never seen the Lord’s face. In fact, no one had ever seen ‘The Lord’s face because it was always hidden behind a mask.
‘How could Yuan be the ‘Lord’? I’ve personally tested his blood, and I’m certain he isn’t the Lord’s descendant…’ Grandpa Fang thought deeply, finding it hard to believe.
“This is impossible…! How could Yuan be the ‘Lord’? It doesn’t make any sense…” Grandma Fang mumbled, her voice dazed with disbelief.
Meanwhile, Fang Xiaoyan turned to Yuan, carefully examining his face and aura. While his Sword Aura was indeed similar to ‘The Lord’s’, it still didn’t mean he was the same person.
‘Could he really be the descendant of ‘The Lord’?’ Fang Xiaoyan wondered, considering the possibility.
“Hahaha! What’s with that pathetic appearance? You look so weak compared to when you left this place, Lord! And I haven’t forgotten the humiliation you caused me that day! Today, I’ll finally take my revenge!” The Demon Lord suddenly shot toward Yuan with a disdainful look.
“Yuan! Watch out!” Grandma Fang shouted, warning Yuan and the others of the Demon Lord’s sudden attack.
Fang Xiaoyan quickly retrieved a talisman from her spatial ring, dropped a few drops of blood on it, and tossed it into the air, instantly creating a protective barrier around herself and Yuan’s wives.
‘Such incredible speed! Was he holding back earlier, letting me land those hits on purpose?’ Grandpa Fang was dumbfounded by the demon’s swiftness, momentarily shocked and speechless. freeweɓnovel.cm
“So fast!” Yuan quickly became alert and tried to dodge the Demon Lord’s attack, but the Demon Lord was too powerful—even Grandpa Fang hadn’t been able to defeat him.
BOOM!
The Demon Lord punched Yuan with all his strength, not wanting to miss this chance. He knew if he failed, he might end up being slain by Yuan’s sword.
The Demon Lord still remembered when ‘The Lord’ had captured him like a mere insect and imprisoned him in this Secret Realm. Ever since, he had been doing everything in his power to grow stronger, hoping one day to escape this hellhole where he couldn’t even enjoy the smooth sensation of drinking human blood or feasting on human flesh.
Fortunately, Yuan heard Grandma Fang’s shout just before the Demon Lord’s strike, giving him enough time to react and defend himself with the Empyreal Oblivion.
However, the impact was too powerful, sending Yuan flying several meters away. He crashed into massive trees in the distance, breaking a few from the sheer force.
Thankfully, Yuan had the cultivation of a Spirit Grandmaster, and his body was stronger than most cultivators at the same level. As a result, he only sustained a few minor injuries, which healed automatically in no time.
Cough!
He coughed up a mouthful of blood.
“Damn! That was dangerous…!” Yuan mumbled, his expression shocked as he took a deep breath and stood back on his feet.
‘What a powerful strike! If I hadn’t reacted in time, I probably would’ve died!’ Yuan thought, feeling his hands go numb from the shockwave.
“Oh, how lucky. To think you’d survive that attack. As expected of the Lord—such attacks are useless against you.” The Demon Lord’s voice boomed from the sky as he looked down on Yuan.
“And it seems you’re the one who defeated my four minions. No wonder I couldn’t find them. I can’t sense their presence at all! You’ll pay for that as well!” The Demon Lord grinned murderously as he flew closer to Yuan.
“You’ve always stood in my way, Lord! But today, I’ll kill you with my own hands and feast on you before I leave this realm!” The Demon Lord laughed loudly before launching another powerful attack at Yuan.
This time, Yuan was prepared. He used Empyreal Oblivion to deflect the attack, but the force was so intense that it felt like his bones might shatter. Still, he didn’t give up and sent a powerful sword arc toward the Demon Lord, infusing it with his Sword Aura.
Slash!
The sword arc was so fast and powerful that the Demon Lord had no time to dodge or block it with his techniques. It cleaved him from shoulder to abdomen in an instant.
However, the Demon Lord’s body seemed to be made of a slimy substance, as the wound immediately began to pull itself back together, healing rapidly.
In just a few seconds, the Demon Lord stood whole again, with no trace of the injury on his body.
“You’ve grown weak after going to the outside world, Lord. Your pathetic attacks are useless against me. With my healing skill, I can recover from any wound in seconds.” The Demon Lord laughed loudly, a massive grin plastered across his face.
Lifting his hand, he conjured a massive Blood Spear in the air.
“Blood Spear!”
The Demon Lord shouted with a grin, hurling the spear toward Yuan. The Blood Spear shot forward with incredible speed, creating a powerful sonic boom behind it.
Woosh!
“This is bad!” Yuan shouted in a panicked voice as he lifted the Empyreal Oblivion to block the powerful attack.
BOOM!
A massive explosion followed the collision of the Blood Spear with the Empyreal Oblivion. The impact sent Yuan flying several meters, his body slamming into a massive tree.
“Ugh!” Yuan cried out, coughing up a mouthful of blood as he felt several ribs break from the impact.
“Yuan! No!”
Everyone shouted in alarm as they saw him coughing up blood.
“Darling! Are you okay?!” Anna cried out, tears streaming down her face, unable to stop.
‘Thanks to ‘Perfect Regeneration,’ my ribs are healing fast… otherwise, I wouldn’t be able to keep fighting,’ Yuan thought, gritting his teeth through the sharp pain in his chest.
He turned to his companions, trying to calm them. “I’m fine. Don’t worry about me.”
The Demon Lord, hovering in the air with a tyrannical presence that made the very air tremble, narrowed his eyes at Yuan. “Wait… You’re not the Lord. Who are you, really? And how can you wield that sword? More importantly, where did you get it?”
Noticing the differences, the Demon Lord’s frown deepened. Yuan’s cultivation wasn’t on the Lord’s level, but his aura felt disturbingly familiar. “Only the Lord can wield that sword. Every other cultivator who’s tried has ended up crippled or worse.”
The Demon Lord sneered. “Even I once attempted to steal that sword and ended up with a wound that took ten thousand years to heal… and now a human besides the Lord can wield it?!” He started laughing loudly, his eyes gleaming with realization.
“This can only mean one thing—you must be the Lord’s descendant!”
“What?! That’s the Lord’s sword?!” Grandpa Fang, Grandma Fang, and Fang Xiaoyan exclaimed in shock. They had no idea the sword in Yuan’s hand once belonged to the legendary Lord.
‘Is that why I felt the sword’s aura was so familiar?’ Fang Xiaoyan thought. ‘And why I felt a strange connection to it…’
Everything clicked for her now. It explained how Yuan had absorbed the Sword Aura from the Stone Tablet at the Lord’s training ground.
“To think I’d encounter the Lord’s descendant… Truly remarkable!” The Demon Lord’s expression grew serious. “Since you carry the Lord’s bloodline, you must possess his power as well. Drinking your blood will surely increase my strength. What a fortunate discovery… Hahaha!”
“That’s impossible! Yuan can’t be the Lord’s descendant! We’ve already tested his blood!” Grandpa Fang objected.
The Demon Lord glanced at Grandpa Fang thoughtfully before turning his attention back to Yuan.
“I sensed the Demon Slaying Aura just moments ago…” he muttered, pausing. “So, you’re a member of the Demon Slaying Clan, the clan that was once affiliated with the Lord.”
The Demon Lord’s gaze grew cold. “It doesn’t matter whether you’re from the Demon Slaying Clan or the Lord’s bloodline. What matters is that none of you will leave this place alive.”
He glared at them with bloodthirsty intent.
Sensing the tension in the air, Yuan gripped the Empyreal Oblivion tightly, bracing himself for the Demon Lord’s next attack.
“Blood Sword!”
In an instant, the Demon Lord formed a massive sword made of his own blood. It materialized far quicker than anything the other demons had conjured, and it glowed with a menacing light.
“With the Lord dead, none of you can defeat me—let alone defend yourselves! Your fate was sealed the moment you crossed paths with me. Now, accept it!” The Demon Lord approached, his aura growing stronger with every step.
The protective barrier surrounding Fang Xiaoyan and Yuan’s wives began to tremble. Cracks spread across its surface until it shattered like fragile glass.
“Yuan, prepare the Demon Slaying Technique. I’ll keep him busy until you’re ready to strike,” Grandpa Fang said, his voice steady despite the mounting pressure.
“I understand. Be careful, though—he’s strong.” Yuan nodded, immediately beginning to prepare the Demon Slaying Technique.
Grandpa Fang shot into the air, clashing with the Demon Lord once more. Powerful shockwaves rocked the area as the two exchanged blows.
“I’ve only got one shot at this. If I miss, we won’t stand a chance,” Yuan muttered to himself, ancient symbols suddenly appearing along the blade of his sword.
Once his technique was fully charged, Yuan signaled Grandpa Fang, who seized the moment. With a calculated strike, Grandpa Fang sent the Demon Lord flying toward Yuan.
“Demon Slaying Slash!”
Slash!
Yuan’s sword pierced through the Demon Lord’s chest from behind, shocking him to his core. The Demon Lord’s eyes widened as he felt his powers drain from his body.
“Curse you, damn human! Curse you! This is not where I should end!” The Demon Lord roared, struggling desperately to free himself from Yuan’s blade, which remained lodged in his chest.
“This is the end for you, vile demon,” Yuan whispered into his ear as the Demon Lord’s body began to turn to stone.
“Damn you, human…”
Within seconds, the Demon Lord’s entire form solidified into stone before crumbling into dust, leaving behind a massive Demon Core atop the pile of ashes.
