Chapter 548: Emma’s Bloodline Awakening (part1)
After breakfast, Valeria began her sword training, swinging the wooden sword Yuan had given her repeatedly, trying to improve her skills.
Despite being made of wood, the sword was much heavier than her usual weapon, making it difficult for her to perform her techniques with the same ease as before. Her movements were stiff and uncoordinated.
“Ignore the weight and focus on your form. Once your movements improve, your sword skills will sharpen,” Grandpa Fang instructed from a distance, taking a long sip from his cup.
Beside him, Grandma Fang sat with a charming smile. She had a glow to her that wasn’t there before, perhaps thanks to Grandpa Fang’s “efforts” the previous night. Their antics had been so loud that Yuan and his wives had to use a sound barrier talisman to have some peace and privacy.
Valeria followed Grandpa Fang’s advice, and sure enough, she saw results quickly. Her movements became smoother, the stiffness fading away as her sword skills improved.
‘I’m getting better so quickly…’ Valeria thought, pleasantly surprised by her rapid progress.
She closed her eyes and took a deep breath before continuing her practice. As she trained, Lily joined her, swinging her sword alongside Valeria.
Meanwhile, Anna, Grace, Emma, Mireya, Sylvia, Leah, Julie, Ava, Rose, and Xi Meili were cultivating inside a Spirit Gathering Array belonging to the Fang family.
This array had been in use for tens of thousands of years, accelerating cultivation progress significantly. Under its influence, their cultivation speed had increased tenfold, allowing them to absorb spiritual energy at an incredible rate.
While they cultivated, Yuan decided to test out his Sword Aura. He stood in front of a massive tree, Fang Xiaoyan watching from nearby. She hadn’t wanted to disturb him at first, but her family insisted she accompany him, hoping to push Yuan into becoming their son-in-law.
“Instead of using a real sword, I’ll test my Sword Aura with a wooden one,” Yuan mumbled to himself before retrieving a wooden training sword from his System Storage. freeweɓnovel.cѳm
“How did you do that? You’re not using a Spatial Ring, so where did that wooden sword come from?” Fang Xiaoyan asked, her curiosity piqued.
Yuan smiled. “I have a special ability that allows me to store things in a different dimension and retrieve them whenever I want.”
“Oh, I see… That’s such a useful ability. I’m a little envious,” Fang Xiaoyan admitted with a playful pout, feeling it was unfair for only Yuan to have such a skill.
Yuan gripped the wooden sword firmly and enveloped it with Sword Aura, creating an invisible sharp edge around the blade.
‘Unbelievable… He only learned Sword Aura yesterday, and he’s already this proficient? What monstrous talent!’ Fang Xiaoyan thought in awe, her eyes widening.
‘It’s like he was born to wield a sword…’
Swish! Yuan swung his sword toward the massive tree before him. In an instant, the sword sliced through it as if it were cutting through butter. Despite the tree’s size, there was no resistance—the wooden sword passed through effortlessly.
The Sword Aura was so strong that it also cut through several other trees behind it.
Bang! The massive tree crashed to the ground with a loud thud, sending dust flying into the air. The other trees followed, collapsing one after another.
“Well… I guess I put more effort into that than I intended,” Yuan said with an awkward laugh, looking at the fallen trees in disbelief. “I only meant to cut one tree, but I ended up cutting several.”
“Don’t worry,” Fang Xiaoyan chuckled, seeing the distressed look on his face. “These trees aren’t special or anything, so you don’t have to worry about Grandpa getting mad at you.”
“Are you sure these trees aren’t important to your family?” Yuan asked.
“Yes, I’m 100% sure,” Fang Xiaoyan confirmed.
“Thank goodness. I was so worried for a second, thinking Grandpa Fang would be furious with me for cutting down so many trees,” Yuan sighed in relief.
Yuan then began chopping the trees, using his sword aura and trying to control it with precision. However, keeping his sword aura at such a low level around the wooden sword was a difficult task in itself.
Yuan ended up wasting nearly five trees as he struggled to control the output of his sword aura, which severely damaged the wood, making it unusable.
After several attempts, Yuan finally perfected his control over his sword aura. He cut the logs and stored them in his System Storage for later use.
There was so much wood, and he could do a lot with it. Moreover, it was much more durable and stronger compared to the trees in the outside world.
Once Yuan had stored every last piece of the logs inside his System Storage, Fang Xiaoyan asked, “You’ve finished here? Shall we return home now?”
“Sure. Let’s go back. I’m sure Valeria must’ve finished her training session by now,” Yuan said, following her back to the house.
A couple of minutes later, they arrived and saw Valeria sitting on the grass beside Lily, both looking exhausted from training. However, Yuan could sense that both Lily and Valeria had grown slightly stronger.
“Did you two finish your training?” Yuan asked.
Valeria nodded with a smile. “That’s right. We just finished a moment ago. How about you?”
“I was just testing out my sword aura, and it’s incredible! I was blown away by how powerful it is!” Yuan responded with an excited grin.
“Really? I can’t wait to learn it myself!” Valeria exclaimed, her anticipation clear.
“Me too!” Lily added, not wanting to fall behind Valeria.
“By the way, everyone else is still cultivating. They seem to be on the verge of breakthroughs,” Valeria informed them.
“I see,” Yuan nodded before adding, “But don’t let the others leave you behind. You should also focus on improving your cultivation.”
Valeria chuckled softly. “Don’t worry. I have no intention of falling behind. Besides, I’m close to reaching the third level of Spirit Master.”
“Me neither! I won’t lose to anyone!” Lily added with a proud grin.
A couple of minutes later, Yuan’s other wives, who had been cultivating in the yard, started making breakthroughs in their cultivation, and waves of powerful energy swept through the area.
Anna and Grace reached the seventh level of Spirit Master, progressing the fastest among them. Emma reached the fifth level despite her lower talent for cultivation, and Rose was at the same stage, also a fifth-level Spirit Master.
Julie and Ava were one level behind their big sister Rose, while Mireya and Sylvia had advanced to the fourth level. Their rapid progress was almost shocking, leaving Grandpa Fang and Grandma Fang speechless.
As for Leah, her cultivation reached the sixth level of Spirit Master, which was astonishing. Grandpa Fang and Grandma Fang could only consider her another monster, alongside Yuan, Anna, and Grace.
“Incredible… That young man is lucky to be surrounded by so many talented people,” Grandpa Fang mumbled, still dazed.
“Indeed. If the people from Nine Heavens hear about this, they’ll go crazy! I just hope this young man becomes strong enough to protect them from prying eyes,” Grandma Fang said, smiling.
“Well, I think he’ll be just fine. Don’t forget he has that godly physique, not to mention his powerful bloodline. Besides, he’s already a Sword Master at such a young age.”
“You’re right. We should focus on making him our grandson-in-law and getting a great-grandchild soon!” Grandma Fang said.
“That girl just doesn’t listen to us. I wonder when she’ll make that young man fall for her. She’s as beautiful as that Dragon girl. She should have already won him over with her charms,” Grandpa Fang grumbled, feeling disappointed in his granddaughter.
“You’re right. She’s clueless about matters like that… I hope she figures out how to seduce him soon,” Grandma Fang laughed.
While the old couple chatted happily, Yuan approached his wives with a smile. His attention shifted to Emma, who had just opened her eyes after her breakthrough.
“Emma, I want you to drink a few drops of my blood and see if it can awaken your bloodline. Do you have any objections?” Yuan asked her seriously as he stood before her.
“I don’t have any objections. I’ve already started to sense my unawakened bloodline. Maybe your blood can trigger it,” Emma responded with a confident smile, fully trusting her husband.
A few seconds later, Yuan made a small cut on his fingertip and let a few drops of his blood fall directly into Emma’s mouth.
The moment his blood touched her tongue, Emma felt a shiver down her spine, her entire body tingling with excitement. Her expression suddenly shifted.
‘What’s happening to her? Was it dangerous to give her my blood?’ Yuan thought, confused by her reaction. He couldn’t tell whether Emma was happy or in distress.
Suddenly, without a word, Emma sat in a lotus position, closed her eyes, and was quickly enveloped by a profound light. Powerful ripples of spiritual energy began to radiate from her body.
Sensing the strong spiritual energy, Anna and the others immediately opened their eyes and rushed to Yuan’s side, watching the scene unfold with puzzled expressions.
“Is she undergoing a bloodline awakening?” Grandpa Fang arrived and asked.
“Yes. I gave her a few drops of my blood,” Yuan replied calmly.
Moments later, a purple mist appeared around Emma’s body, and the grass surrounding her began to wither and turn dark, as if it had been poisoned by a deadly venom.
Seeing this, Grandpa Fang, Grandma Fang, Fang Xiaoyan, Fang Hao, Fang Ling, and Xi Meili all felt a sudden chill run down their spines, as though something eerie and dangerous was right in front of them.
