Chapter 436 - 397: The Shock of [Yang Lei] and [Celestial Star]: More Than a 50-Win Streak

One more friend meant one more path. It didn’t matter if they were of a younger generation; as long as they had the strength, they could be friends.

And so, he quickly contacted Tian Xing for Jiang Qiu and his companion. The process was incredibly efficient, hardly any slower than making a phone call—especially for a communication that crossed such a vast distance through space and time.

When the other party saw it was Yang Lei calling, he froze for a second. ’How is he contacting me from so far away?’

Although they were all powerful experts of the same race, the regions they managed were not within the sphere of influence of a single Great Realm. They rarely had any contact, so this call was certainly a surprise.

But such long-distance communications were extremely resource-intensive. He couldn’t help but wonder what could be so important that Yang Lei would contact him from so far away.

He mulled it over but couldn’t come up with anything. After all, the Three-Life Race was a top-tier race within the Primordial world cluster, with its influence spanning all the top Great Realms and several other renowned ones. Given this, it was unlikely to be a major internal affair of the Three-Life Race.

And if it wasn’t a major internal affair for the Three-Life Race, then it was likely a regional issue. In other words, something significant must have happened in the Nine Venerable Great Realm.

However, the Desolate Realm was a vast distance away from even the borders of the Yin Yang Great Realm’s and the Nine Venerable Great Realm’s spheres of influence. It was said that if not for some grand, solemn gathering, they would likely never cross paths in their entire lives. At such distances, no one would make a special trip just to meet unless there was a significant benefit involved. Thus, it was perfectly normal for them to never see each other.

But if it was a matter concerning the Nine Venerable Great Realm, Tian Xing was all the more baffled as to what it had to do with him. He operated primarily within the Yin Yang Great Realm’s sphere of influence, rarely even leaving the Desolate Realm. He wasn’t very sensitive to news from the Nine Venerable Great Realm; in fact, he was basically clueless about what was currently happening over there.

The most recent information about the Nine Venerable Great Realm that reached Tian Xing was likely months old; some of it might even be decades old. It was impossible for him to know instantly about any major events happening there, unless someone like Yang Lei contacted him directly.

With that, Tian Xing accepted Yang Lei’s call. The two exchanged a few pleasantries—the usual "I’ve heard so much about you" and "To what do I owe the pleasure?" sort of thing.

Even though the call was incredibly expensive, these formalities seemed unavoidable. Still, both parties understood the need for brevity and got to the point after a few exchanges. "Brother Yang Lei, what prompted you to suddenly contact me across such a great distance?"

"Brother Tian Xing, I hear another peerless prodigy with a fifty-win streak just appeared on your side?"

Tian Xing was completely stunned by the question. He was flabbergasted. "Is your information network that good? The fifty-win streak just happened last night. How did you find out so quickly?!"

Tian Xing was genuinely shocked. Just yesterday, young Tian Ming had secured his fiftieth consecutive victory, shaking the entire Desolate Realm as a follower of the "Jiang Divine." Countless people now idolized him, and they had practically enshrined the Jiang Qiu he followed, praying to him daily.

’Good news like this spreads fast, but surely not *this* fast?’ he thought. ’It would be impressive enough for the news to reach the top-tier Oasis Cities and a few Great Oasis Cities across the Desolate Realm within a day. But now, not only does the Desolate Realm know, but the Thunder Great Realm—all the way in the Nine Venerable Great Realm’s sphere of influence—has heard it too?’

Although, theoretically, the Thunder Great Realm wasn’t within the standard sphere of influence of the Nine Venerable Great Realm, it wasn’t too far off. Many people, including Tian Xing himself, considered it part of that sphere.

And he was almost certain that the news of Tian Ming’s fifty-win streak hadn’t even left the Desolate Realm yet. In other words, besides the discussions happening within his own Great Realm, no other worlds should know about it. After all, each world was independent, their information networks weren’t interconnected.

Yet Yang Lei, all the way over there, somehow knew. And his words even carried a hint of inquiry. Tian Xing had never imagined something like this could happen.

’Does Yang Lei have an informant in the Desolate Realm?’

’So he’s that incredible!’

Although they were fellow clansmen and powerful experts, they didn’t know much about one another beyond a superficial level; they were completely in the dark about each other’s specific abilities. That was precisely why Tian Xing was so astonished. For Yang Lei to pay this much attention to him was truly rare. ’He’s keeping a closer eye on me than the Unity Realm experts who are right here in the Yin Yang Great Realm’s sphere of influence.’

However, Yang Lei had no idea what was going through Tian Xing’s mind. When he heard that the fifty-win streak champion had just emerged *yesterday*, he froze. His sharp gaze instantly fell upon Jiang Qiu. "What’s going on here?"

The emergence of a fifty-win champion was a pleasant surprise; he hadn’t actually expected there to be one. But the fact that it happened just last night was what made the situation so bizarre.

’A fifty-win champion appeared just yesterday, yet Jiang Qiu somehow traveled from the Desolate Realm all the way to the Thunder Great Realm?’

’That kind of travel speed was impossible for anyone in the entire Primordial world cluster. Even if someone could, it would have to be a desperate, life-or-death gamble—the kind of Secret Technique that causes your body to explode after a single use. And only a top-tier Unity Realm expert who had mastered the Space-Time Law could even attempt it.’

’Given Jiang Qiu’s current condition, there was no way he came directly from the Desolate Realm. Is he lying?!’

Jiang Qiu, for his part, hadn’t expected another fifty-win champion to emerge in the Celestial Star Arena either. It was a complete surprise. But then he heard a voice from the holographic projection: "Huh? Your Excellency Jiang Qiu, what are you doing over there?"

The communication was a holographic projection, meaning everything in the room was visible. It was just that Tian Xing hadn’t been paying attention to anything else earlier. Jiang Qiu’s aura was concealed, and he was wearing a mask, so Tian Xing simply hadn’t noticed him.

But now, with Yang Lei’s question drawing his focus to Jiang Qiu and the distinctive Dragon Maiden beside him, Tian Xing immediately recognized him. He was instantly ecstatic. "Ah, Your Excellency Jiang Qiu, you are truly extraordinary! For your follower to possess such potential... I’m convinced he has a chance to break the ninety-nine-win streak record set by the great Wu!"

As soon as he said this, Jiang Qiu was baffled, and Yang Lei was even more so. He could see that Tian Xing genuinely knew Jiang Qiu, and his attitude was incredibly deferential—as if he were addressing a venerable senior. It was simply unheard of.

’Ever since he reached the Peak of the Unity Realm, he himself had never shown such a deferential attitude to anyone. Not even the Nine Venerables of the Nine Venerable Great Realm would warrant such politeness from him. The Three-Life Race was one of the very top races; why would they fear the Nine Venerables?’

’But now, Tian Xing, an expert on his own level, was treating two very young-looking members of the Human Race with such respect. It was astonishing.’

’And that claim about breaking Wu’s ninety-nine-win streak record? How was that even possible?!’

Wu was a legendary expert renowned throughout the entire Primordial world cluster. Nearly every famous figure knew of him. An existence like that had truly dominated an entire generation. The record he set remains unbroken to this day. Rumor had it that he reigned invincible for ten thousand years, but eventually, unable to find a worthy opponent and with no room left for advancement, he went into seclusion. To this day, it is unknown whether he is alive or dead.

His ninety-nine-win streak record was considered virtually unbreakable!

’Yet now, Tian Xing dared to be certain that it *could* be broken. Just what kind of person would it take to do that?!’

"Brother Tian Xing, what do you mean by that? Who has a chance of breaking Senior Wu’s ninety-nine-win streak?"

"Huh?" Tian Xing was taken aback for a moment. "Brother Yang Lei, didn’t you just ask if someone recently achieved a fifty-win streak? It’s him! He’s a super-prodigy who, just like Senior Wu, has mastered the Void Law!"
