Mr. Law's Official Announcement: He is a Wife-Doting Fanatic!
Chapter 636: Drawing the Sword Only Makes the Water Flow Faster
Reflecting on past memories, Claire Sinclair couldn’t help but blink in bewilderment.
It seemed that she could once again see Jude Grant walking towards her under the moonlight, holding a bouquet of lilies. Jude was young and handsome, attracting many admirers at school, with even some openly pursuing him, yet it seemed as though his eyes were only on her.
He was even brazenly honest, saying he fell in love with her at first sight.
Maybe first sight is all about appearances.
But they truly got along well.
Due to the shadows of the past, Claire hesitated before accepting Jude’s pursuit. Jude persistently approached her, surprising her with many small yet romantic gestures.
She’s not made of steel; being moved was only natural.
...
What followed was an inevitable progression.
Jude supported her interest in acting and opened many doors for Claire. Claire never imagined that someone from a wealthy background would be willing for their girlfriend or future wife to enter the entertainment industry.
But Jude’s heart made her feel free, happy, and unrestrained.
If not for Zion Prescott’s appearance...
Claire closed her eyes, feeling a wave of despair spreading through her heart.
What should she do?!
...
But blaming Zion didn’t seem quite right either.
After all, no one would have thought they would meet under such awkward circumstances.
Moreover, Zion had already decided to let go, giving her and Jude a chance.
Now that the truth is out, it’s what exhausts them mentally.
Claire looked steadily at Jude, seeing the defeated air surrounding the young man, she tentatively reached out, trying to hold him.
"Jude, can we forget those things?"
"You told me before you wouldn’t mind my past relationships, as long as we’re faithful to each other in the future, I won’t disappoint you or get tangled up with Zion Prescott again."
"Are you saying you and Zion were tangled up before?!"
Jude suddenly raised his head, his cold and violent gaze shocking Claire.
Claire’s heart skipped a beat.
Before she could process anything, Jude pinned her to the seat and kissed her.
That kiss wasn’t the sweet affection of lovers but felt like treating the other person as a vicious enemy, using lips to torture their heart.
"Jude, what’s wrong with you? Please calm down!"
Claire was stunned, instinctively wanting to push him away.
However, Jude’s strength was greater than hers, and with their physical mismatch, Claire was quickly overpowered.
Jude, on the verge of breakdown, acted mindlessly, reflecting on their interactions, perhaps just innocently holding hands, like a pure school romance.
But maybe, Claire and his uncle...
Jude didn’t want to think further, but the more he suppressed, the more his inner rage simmered.
Looking at the exquisite face under his big hands, which he once adored, now fueled by love was overshadowed by immense hatred.
Not hatred towards Claire.
But deeply resenting why he couldn’t meet her sooner?
Why did Claire’s ex-boyfriend have to be Zion Prescott?!
How cruel heaven was to him!
...
Jude heard Claire’s shriek, heedlessly gnawing at the girl’s lips, his big hands tearing her dress.
Due to her current job with the crew, she had changed out of heavy ancient costumes but kept her inner garments for convenience later.
Hearing the crisp sound of tearing fabric, Claire’s temples throbbed with urgency, her voice breaking into sobs.
"Jude, don’t be like this, I still have scenes to shoot today... you..."
"You can still think about your scenes?! Ha..."
Jude’s veins bulged, staring angrily at Claire’s ancient inner garment, wishing to tear it to shreds.
Feeling the man’s brutal gaze, Claire suddenly felt as if she never truly knew Jude.
The boy she loved shouldn’t be like this; she fell for Jude’s purity and passion, like the morning sun, seemingly never to fall.
Yet seeing Jude’s gloominess now, Claire suddenly felt a hint of Zion’s shadow.
Despite being distant uncle and nephew, Jude’s obscured expression inexplicably frightened Claire.
...
"No, Jude, calm down, we’re still in the car. I know you’re angry, can you give us some time, um..."
Claire wanted to continue, but it was clear that Jude had lost all rationality.
He was madly biting her lips.
Amidst their struggle, Claire even sensed the taste of blood spreading.
Her inner garments were torn into disarray, tears streaming down her face.
Seeing the burning tear marks on Claire’s face, Jude felt a deep ache, instinctively wanting to stop.
But jealousy and rage had incinerated all sanity; if he stopped now, what did he mean to her?!
In Claire’s heart, how did she see him?
A man, or just a boy to be treated like a brother?
Just because he’s a year younger, whenever Claire acted coy, Jude would worry—did she think he was too childish?!
...
Inside Jude’s mind, a storm brewed. As Claire gritted her teeth wanting to bite Jude’s shoulder to wake him.
Suddenly, someone fiercely knocked on the car window several times.
Claire and Jude abruptly regained their senses.
Claire, tears blurring her vision, was overwhelmed by a sense of disgrace.
She even dared not look outside the window.
Jude felt alarmed too, realizing Claire’s clothes were merely torn slightly, yet it seemed trivial, they’d never quarreled like this before in their relationship, making the situation complicated.
"Jude, stop."
The cold male voice from outside the window startled Jude, whose hardly-calm emotions rekindled his intense anger.
Young and impulsive, Jude recklessly opened the car window, possessively embracing Claire’s head, declaring.
"Uncle, when did you get here?! Are you trying to interrupt our moment?!"
Jude’s words were aggressive, his intense gaze sharp enough to injure.
Zion Prescott’s expression was stern, sweeping his eyes over the girl curled in Jude’s arms, heart aching.
He clenched his wrist, calmly reminded.
"No, Jude, I’m sorry for previously hiding things, but I’ve long ceased any relation with the woman in your arms."
