Mr. Law's Official Announcement: He is a Wife-Doting Fanatic!

Chapter 582: Miss Vaughn’s Remarkable Courage

  • Next Chapter

Drinking a drink from a stranger in a nightclub? You’d have to be crazy to do that.

You see it in the headlines every day, how many girls have fallen victim to these mysterious substances.

Cecilia Vaughn’s mind was clear as a bell. She looked at the man’s lecherous eyes and more or less knew the answer.

"Big brother, I’m afraid you don’t actually know where my brother is, do you?"

The motorcycle thug, looking rather out of sorts, instantly pounded the bar twice, defiantly at her words.

"Hey, don’t underestimate Mr. Lowell here. I’m a regular customer of this nightlife scene..."

"The boy you’re talking about, does he look kind of sickly? Even though he’s handsome, it’s obvious he’s inexperienced, never had any action. We’ve got lots of Princesses here who get close to him on their own, but he shyly hides against the wall. Damn, I envy his luck with women!"

That description!

It really is Evan Vaughn!

Listening to this gave Cecilia a headache, and the urge to pound Evan Vaughn increased dramatically.

She pondered for half a second and then spoke up immediately.

"Was the boy alone, or did a group of classmates bring him here to mess around?"

Cecilia couldn’t be blamed for having such a leading assumption; normally, Evan Vaughn came off as the perfect student with zero bad habits in her eyes. Yet reality slapped her hard in the face.

...

"Uh... seems like he was alone, but then again, he looks so naive and thin-skinned. Unlike the minors we have here, who have been running wild for years, he looked clueless from the first step he took inside."

All by himself?!

Cecilia couldn’t believe it and examined the man before her with disbelieving eyes.

"Are you sure he didn’t have any male classmates nearby?"

The motorcycle punk frowned.

"Hey, who says you need a group for some singing and partying?"

The punk raised his chin arrogantly, clearly disdainful.

"I’ve seen plenty of these well-behaved-looking students hiding a wild side. You have no idea how many boys come here trying to lose their innocence..."

The punk originally intended to say something much more vulgar, but stopped halfway, intimidated by Cecilia Vaughn’s cold eyes as biting as frost and snow.

Her gaze made the punk shiver subconsciously.

—What a strange phenomenon. He knew this woman should be a weakling with no strength to restrain a chicken, yet his heart mysteriously skipped a beat.

Used to maneuvering through this chaotic nightclub environment, his survival instinct clued him in instantly: this woman in front of him might be dressed simply like a fresh-out-of-college girl, but she’s not one to mess with.

...

The thug-like motorcycle man, who introduced himself as Mr. Lowell, looked at Cecilia Vaughn’s exquisite beauty. Letting a breathtaking woman go so easily seemed such a waste.

But while he wavered, Cecilia spontaneously threw out an enticing offer.

"Since you’ve seen my brother, don’t play coy. Tell me what happened to him earlier and I’ll transfer one thousand yuan to you. How about it?"

One thousand yuan?

Though not as alluring as Cecilia Vaughn’s own beauty, it’s generous enough for a small-time thug without a proper job.

Displaying wealth in a nightclub can be quite dangerous. "Hiding treasures incurs blame." Cecilia had just finished speaking when many men began eyeing her menacingly.

Even though Cecilia wasn’t dressed extravagantly, her demeanor spoke of good upbringing. Even if she wasn’t from a wealthy family, she was at least middle class.

A thug who had too much to drink and both lusted after and aimed to rob her suddenly acted brutely, reaching a filthy hand toward Cecilia’s shoulder.

"Wow, where did this pretty little sister come from? Come here and have a drink with big brother."

The man swallowed thickly. Although inebriated, Cecilia’s beauty was undeniable. Standing at the periphery of the crowd, she radiated like a star on stage, commanding attention effortlessly.

"Drink with you?"

Cecilia chuckled coldly as if she had eyes at the back of her head. Precisely, with what seemed like a fragile wrist, she grabbed the man’s arm and executed a swift over-the-shoulder throw.

With a slam, the thug hit the floor directly.

The impressive take-down left the onlookers dumbfounded.

"My god, this woman is so badass!"

"Scary! Is she a cop busting out of the precinct?"

Hearing the fearful whispers, Cecilia remained outwardly calm.

That’s exactly the reaction she wanted. She knew the nightclub management would soon send someone to deal with her.

Compared to the clubgoers, the managers behind the scenes surely wielded more authority.

The motorcycle man who’s been pondering whether to take Cecilia Vaughn’s thousand-yuan offer now quickly counted himself lucky for not making any crass moves!

"You’re not a heroine, are you! I saw your brother; earlier he seemed to get into an argument with a client over some Princess. Apparently, Jack took him away."

"Jack?"

Cecilia seized this keyword without missing a beat, growing even more irate.

—Fighting over a Princess with a client, Evan Vaughn shouldn’t even bother with school, send him straight to juvenile detention.

The motorcycle thug nodded sheepishly.

"What? You’ve never heard of Jack? He’s the big boss here at the club. Tsk tsk, even though you’re skilled, a single pair of fists can’t handle multiple challenges at once. I’d suggest rounding up some people to help rescue your brother."

...

"Thanks."

Cecilia nodded at him, and just as she expected, a few bodyguards rushed out, shouting angrily immediately after.

"Who’s causing trouble in our club?"

To their surprise, the reply came.

"It’s me."

"Huh?!"

The guards exchanged confused looks, unable to believe Cecilia Vaughn was the one who made a move.

And the refined beauty unexpectedly threw out another line.

"Where’s your boss, Jack? I need to see him."

"..."

The bodyguards were left questioning their reality even more.

...

"Bring that woman over."

A deep, thunderous male voice seemed to sound from upstairs. Even though curtains shielded above, Cecilia Vaughn felt someone was watching her.

She frowned and looked up, catching sight of beaded curtains swaying lightly.

"Follow us."

Perhaps because of Cecilia Vaughn’s courteous manner, as well as her being a woman, the bodyguards stowed their batons and escorted her courteously to follow.

Cecilia Vaughn pondered within.

Before she even crossed through the doorway, she laid her eyes on a young man seated in an engraved red nanmu wood chair, an alarming scar cut diagonally across his right eye.

"Miss Vaughn, you indeed have some nerve."
