Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure
Chapter 1106 - 1115: Just Want to Cry
"Sister." Wyatt Sterling walked up to Serena Sullivan as a servant had already placed a chair next to her.
"My little nephew is really pitiable; before he’s even born, he already has an uncle."
Wyatt Sterling said this to Serena.
Serena smiled. When Wyatt lifted his head and looked at her, their eyes met and both were slightly teary.
They lacked love from both parents, and knowing that Claire Sullivan was having another child made both inexplicably sad.
This sadness wasn’t due to jealousy or fear that the newborn would take away their parents’ affection, but rather because they recognized that the child signified a new beginning for them.
Claire Sullivan and Simon Sterling’s child would finally receive complete familial love and could live happily.
The meal was concluded amidst the chaos stirred by Simon Sterling’s declaration, but soon after, The Sterling Family regained their composure. The First Mrs. Sterling was no longer able to have children, but seeing Claire having one now made her excited.
With a son who wasn’t married and no grandchildren, her hopes rested on these two unborn children.
Ethan Grant thought he could leave the Sterling family after lunch, planning to take Serena Sullivan along, but was told she had to stay.
Old Master Sterling, Mr. Sterling, Simon, and Wyatt together prevented Ethan from taking Serena away.
Seeing the lineup, Ethan admitted defeat.
Actually, it wasn’t that he couldn’t take Serena, but he wanted her to spend more time with her family.
"Alright."
Ethan asked Serena to walk him out, holding her hand reluctantly.
"I’ll come back to be with you once I finish my work."
"Okay!" Serena responded, escorting him to the door where the car was parked in front of them. "There are so many people here with me, don’t worry."
"You, on the other hand, need to take care of yourself and don’t stay up working late."
To support Serena and the child, Ethan was working hard.
"Alright!" Listening to Serena, Ethan promised, lowering his head to kiss her lips.
"Serena, wait for me to come back."
Ethan reluctantly let go of Serena, and she stood there watching him leave.
It’s not like they haven’t been apart. Four years! They’d gotten through such a long time; at this moment, Serena’s heart felt particularly distressed and tormented.
The days they’ve spent together had become ingrained, and not even a moment did she want them to part.
"Sister!"
Wyatt came out to protect Serena, seeing her standing there wiping tears, he stepped forward to pat her shoulder, "Don’t cry, brother is here for you."
"I’ve already discussed with Dad, one day at a time."
Wyatt had gone to vent to Claire Sullivan, complaining about how tired he was from working overtime, not even having time for a relationship.
Now he was going to be a brother and an uncle and still didn’t have a wife.
When Claire heard this, she was anxious, asking Simon to help Wyatt so he’d have time to date.
Originally, Simon wanted to slack off to stay with Claire, but under Claire’s "orders," he had no choice but to agree to work for the Sterling Corporation.
Though the power within the Sterling Corporation clearly still lay with Simon, it seemed as though he was working for Wyatt.
"Brother, let’s go in."
Serena felt better after listening to Wyatt’s consoling words, and the two turned around into The Sterling Family’s old residence.
Inside the old residence, Simon was taking a walk with Claire.
They walked hand in hand, slowly, under the sunlight, looking very warm.
Wyatt wanted to call out to them but was pulled back by Serena.
"Brother!"
Serena called out, and Wyatt looked back to see his sister’s eyes were red.
"What’s wrong?"
Serena looked at Simon and Claire in the distance, shook her head, "I don’t know why, I just feel like crying."
