Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure

Chapter 1034 - 1033: Dream On

  • Next Chapter

Finn Chandler watched Mr. Ford’s back, smiling slightly, and turned his head to look at the little one in the cradle. Seeing that the little guy had woken up at some point, she happily went to play with him.

"Little one, little one, being a person is really hard!"

"If I didn’t agree, your grandpa would linger here with me."

Mr. Ford truly considered Fiona Ford his daughter. In his heart, Finn Chandler, the daughter-in-law, was the outsider.

Today, if Finn Chandler didn’t agree, Mr. Ford would give her a hard time. She was used to it, but he would definitely come to her again.

Thinking it over, she agreed.

Mr. Ford said something right earlier: if Julian Ford loved her, what was there to fear from Fiona Ford?

If Fiona Ford really made a move, it would only be self-inflicted humiliation.

Finn Chandler hadn’t brought up Fiona Ford with Julian Ford yet, but Mrs. Ford and Mr. Ford had already started arguing about Fiona Ford again.

That night, Finn Chandler was downstairs having dinner with Julian Ford, while Mr. and Mrs. Ford were watching TV and playing with the little one in the living room.

The atmosphere was good, warm and cozy under the soft lights, but suddenly there was the sound of a cup smashing to the ground from the living room.

Finn Chandler was startled and looked at Julian Ford in surprise.

Julian Ford was also taken aback for a moment. He reached out and held Finn Chandler’s hand, indicating that it was okay.

This kind of parental argument was something Julian Ford was already used to.

"You want to bring Fiona Ford back, dream on!"

Followed by Mrs. Ford’s angry voice.

Mr. Ford wanted to bring Fiona Ford back; how could this be hidden from Mrs. Ford?

"Should we go take a look?"

Hearing Mrs. Ford so angry, as if she was about to tear the roof off the Ford house, Finn Chandler worriedly asked Julian Ford.

"It’s okay!"

Julian Ford was very calm, still eating dinner.

"Aren’t you scared?"

Generally, hearing parents argue so fiercely would scare anyone to some extent.

"Scared of what?"

Julian Ford smiled and asked Finn Chandler.

"Divorce?"

Finn Chandler nodded. Her parents had a bad relationship; she didn’t want Julian Ford’s parents to divorce too.

The divorce might even have something to do with her.

"No need to worry."

Julian Ford replied, "Those two won’t get divorced."

Saying that, Julian Ford continued to eat his meal, and Finn Chandler, watching him like this, returned the grip on the hand that held hers.

Julian Ford was used to hearing them argue?

Was he really not worried or afraid?

"When I was little, I rarely heard them argue."

Julian Ford noticed Finn Chandler’s worry and explained with a smile.

"Wasn’t their relationship bad?"

"The relationship wasn’t great, but he didn’t dare to oppose my mom."

Julian Ford used the word "oppose," indicating that Mr. Ford truly feared Mrs. Ford.

Was there hatred under that fear?

"My mom controlled the Ford Corporation, and the family finances were also in her hands."

Mrs. Ford had been suppressing Mr. Ford with power and money for years.

If Mr. Ford dared to disobey, she wouldn’t give him money!

"He wanted to support Fiona Ford, so he didn’t dare to upset my mom."

After listening to Julian Ford, Finn Chandler realized Mr. Ford was really in a bind.

After adopting a daughter, he had to humble himself and look at Mrs. Ford’s face for money.

"After Fiona Ford joined the Ford Corporation, he became bolder."

No longer under Mrs. Ford’s control, there was also Mr. Ford’s intention to deliberately oppose Mrs. Ford.

"But, don’t worry too much."

"Even if things get really bad between him and mom, he wouldn’t propose divorce."

"Why?"
