Chapter 1000 - 999: Always Waiting

Finn Chandler and Julian Ford returned to the Ford Family estate. Once there, Julian needed to rush back to the company, while Finn no longer felt sleepy and wanted to take a walk around the Ford estate.

Spending all day in bed wasn’t a good idea either.

"Be careful."

This whole area belonged to Ford Manor, so Julian was relatively at ease.

"I know," Finn said as she got out of the car, pointing to the corner of her mouth.

Julian understood, undid his seatbelt, leaned over, and gave Finn a kiss.

Receiving Julian’s kiss, Finn happily got out of the car.

After the wedding, she decided not to meddle in many things anymore.

Even the funeral of Mrs. Chambers, she didn’t involve herself with.

She wanted to forget those distressing things and just remember the present.

Ford Manor was vast, and Finn chose the nearest path to the building where she currently lived.

As she walked, she heard the sound of high heels and the rolling of suitcase wheels on the ground but continued on without looking up.

When passing Fiona Ford, Fiona stopped in her tracks.

"You got what you wanted by kicking me out of the Ford Family!"

Originally, Fiona was supposed to leave the day after Julian’s wedding, but The Eldest Master Ford was reluctant, so Fiona stayed two more days.

However, it was ultimately Mrs. Ford who made the decisions in this family.

No matter how The Eldest Master Ford tried to delay, Fiona eventually had to leave.

Initially, Finn intended to just pass by without acknowledging Fiona, but since Fiona spoke to her, she smirked with no intention of missing this chance for a proper chat.

"Of course I’m happy to see you leave the Ford Family."

Finn said gleefully, "From now on, I’m the lady of the Ford Family."

"Haha!"

Fiona retorted sarcastically, "Finn, you’re dreaming!"

"What makes you think you’re worthy of Julian?"

"Whether I’m suitable or not isn’t for you to decide."

"As long as Julian and his mother are happy, that’s enough."

Finn replied with a smile.

Her words left Fiona speechless. Indeed, in the Ford Family, having the favor of Mrs. Ford and Julian was all that mattered.

Unworthy!

So what!

"I have never seen someone as shameless as you."

Fiona said with a cold voice, mocking.

"Where am I shameless!" Finn asked amusingly, "Sister, Julian and I are in love freely."

"When I met him, he didn’t have a girlfriend, let alone a fiancée."

"I don’t even know what you mean by shamelessness!"

"Or are you suggesting you thought you could become Mrs. Ford?"

Finn stared at Fiona’s face, watching her expression change after hearing this.

"Finn, what nonsense are you talking about?"

"What Mrs. Ford, I don’t understand what you’re saying!"

Fiona wasn’t an impulsive person. After spending years at the Ford Family, she hid her thoughts well.

Even if she had feelings for Julian, she dared not show them, knowing too well that Mrs. Ford disliked her.

Her reliance was on Mr. Ford’s old affection for her mother.

So she waited for a chance to develop a relationship with Julian.

These years, Julian hadn’t had a girlfriend nor any romantic scandals, so she wasn’t worried.

Who knew Finn would suddenly appear out of nowhere!

Haha! She was even a tomboy!

"Finn, stop slandering people here!"

"Julian and I are innocent, I’ve always seen him as a brother!"

"How could you say this about me!"

Fiona’s voice followed, as she shouted, tears started to roll down her face.
