Robert insisted, so Violet had to hold him in her arms in the front passenger seat.

Previously, Robert had sat in a car, with Daxton holding him and letting the driver roam around their yard.

Today, the little guy saw his "daddy" driving the car and was even more excited, fluttering his little arms and legs incessantly, delightedly "beep-beeping" without end.

In the moment of excitement, he exerted himself towards Joseph, so Violet cooperatively handed him over.

The little guy stretched out his chubby hand and patted the horn, suddenly hearing the harsh noise. Startled, he looked at his dad, then at his mom, and soon he was happily flailing his limbs, patting his little hands and mimicking the sound of the car horn, "Beep, beep beep~"

On the way to the company, Joseph kept honking the horn, at his son’s "instruction".

At the company, Joseph walked ahead holding his son, while Violet followed behind with a briefcase, keeping her head down, too shy to look at the employees greeting Joseph.

People back then seemed even more keen on gossip compared to modern times. Seeing Joseph with a child, the female employees curiously asked, "Manager, whose child is this, why does he look so much like you?"

Whenever employees asked like this, a kind smile would appear on Joseph’s face, although he felt proud inside, "My nephew."

Of course, his own son resembled himself.

The little guy curiously pointed around all the way, and Joseph carried him into the office.

"Come, son, Daddy will teach you how to do business."

Joseph sat behind the desk with his son in his arms, opening the documents the secretary had already prepared.

Robert sat on Joseph’s lap, happily clapping his little hands.

Violet placed the briefcase on the desk, "Joseph, let me hold Robert, you go ahead with your work. After the driver sends Daxton off, I’ll call him to come and pick us up."

"Alright then, you take Robert to play on the sofa." Joseph lifted Robert up, but before he could pass him to Violet, the little guy protested anxiously, waving his little hands as if about to hit Violet.

"Don’t hold me, don’t hold me! Bad, bad!"

Seeing his son’s adorable behavior, Joseph’s soft heart was about to melt, although he often went over to amuse his son, ultimately time was limited. What father in the world wouldn’t want to be with his son every day?

Seeing Robert refusing to let his mom hold him, Joseph put him back on his lap, "You go rest on the sofa, it’s fine, it won’t affect work."

Violet slowly sat down on the sofa. Her husband Daxton also spoils the child, but not in the way her brother-in-law does.

Daxton bought beautiful clothes and fun toys for his son, but never allowed him near when working; sometimes the little guy wasn’t even allowed to touch his briefcase.

But her brother-in-law was different, as if he would do anything to fulfill whatever his son wanted.

Watching Joseph’s patient demeanor, Violet couldn’t help but think, perhaps this is how blood ties work; biological parents, even if the son wishes for stars in the sky, they would strive to fulfill it.

Unconsciously, a smile of happiness appeared at the corner of her lips.

"Slash" sounded, and Violet’s smile froze; the little guy had caused trouble, tearing down the open document in front of Joseph overnight.

Violet hurriedly stood up and walked over, she could imagine that if the son tore her husband Daxton’s documents, Daxton would certainly be displeased.

"Joseph, did Robert get into trouble?"

Joseph hadn’t anticipated that his son’s little hand would be this quick. Looking at the already shredded document into strips by Robert, he smiled and said, "It’s fine, I’ll ask the secretary to prepare another copy later."
