Chapter 198: SHARING CONTACT

Lisa raised her head to look at him, he eyes and pose emiting something sedyctively charming that seemed to draw Calix more towards her, that he couldn’t get away.

"Firstly, you work for Dante Lancaster. And that too seems very closely. And as Dante Lancaster is in charge of my best friend’s safety, as his close person, I should have a way to contact you. That’s for extra safety and security." Lisa said those so confidently looking into his eyes, that it look moment for Calix to wrap his head around it.

Why did her words seem to make sense, but at the same time make no sense at all too!

And before Calix could reply anything else, Lisa continued, "And it doesn’t hurt to ask for a handsome man’s contact, does it?" Her voice seemed to have gotten a pitch or two lower. And somehow hearing her speak, made Calix gulp.

Internally, Lisa was screaming. Come on! I can’t be any more direct! If he still doesn’t melt and give in, I am going to assume he is GAY!

Calix felt a chill run down his spine. He knew where this was going, but he did not want to jump on any conclusions! It wasn’t that he had never faced such situations before. But he did not know why his heart was being funny this time!

Calix squinted his eyes, and came to the conclusion that it was surely because, this woman in front of him was very weird! Yes, that might be it.

And though logic screamed at him that he should not be give in, but somehow he ended up sharing!

Lisa grined as she saved his contact number, and looked at him cheekily, winking ab eyes, she said, "Thanks handsome. Hopefully, we will see each other again."

Lisa giggled before she turned and walked to her car. And before long, he car drew away, while Calix stood there, his eyes narrowed. What. Was that?!

Calix sighed, before he raised his hand keeping on his chest. It was pounding hard.

Next morning-

Dove stood at the driveway, their car parked in front of the mansion, as they would be leaving in a little while for Gavi’s school and her company.

Dove stood there with her hands folded together, looking at Gavi and Elder Sterling who were at a little distance from her. They were messing around with each other, and laughing at something silly. Her attention then diverted from them to look at Dante, who too stood at a distance away from them, attending some important calls.

Looking at Dante, Dove fell into a deep thought. Last night, Dove had given a lot of thought about it last night, and came to the conclusion that Lisa was right about her relationship to Dante.

She must end it here, and not at all pursue it further, or else she could not even imagine the consequences further.

Making up her mind, Dove nodded to herself. And at the same time, Dante had finished the call, and had turned around, his eyes meeting Dove’s.

And just when he did, he felt his heart wrench, for reasons he did not know.

Somehow he fet afraid when he looked at her. Though, the next second she smiled at him, but still he did not know why, he has been feeling like this since a few days.

Did he overdo it last night? Was Dove angry on him now? Dante wondered.

But Dante also felt that now it is enough time for him to start making a move, for him to let her know that he really likes her. For her to slow accept him in her life, to make him a part of her life, and then slowly accept the truth.

Because Dante too knew that it was really risky for him to directly go and confess the truth in front of Dove. For that might only make her see him as the biological father of Gavi, but he wanted more, he wanted Dove to first choose him willingly.

He stared at her soft smile, as she too stared his direction, as he walked towards her. Dante’s eyes remained on her, maintaining the eye contact, and he knew that something was going on in her mind, she was thinking about something.

Dante came to stand in front of her, and before she could say anything, he raised his hand and picked a dry leaf that had fallen on her head, making her blink in surprise. "Shall we go now?" He asked. To which Dove her head in agreement before calling for Gavi.

In the car, Gavi was staring out of the window at the passing scenery, when he suddenly remembered something and started fiddling though his bag.

Dove who was working in her tablet, averted her eyes from it, looking at him and asked, "What is it, Gavi?"

Little Gavi then produced a neatly folded paper, and gave it to her.

Dove unfolded the paper, as Gavi spoke, "Our teacher said that the school is organising a parents & children bonding fun activity day, next month. There will different kind of sports, games, quizes, and many more things. And they have so, asked all the parents to come." The little boy said enthusiastically.

Dove listened to her son, as her eyes fell on the last line inbthe paper. "The attendance of both the parents will be highly appreciated."

And looking at that she felt a slight tinge in her heart. At times like this, Dove really felt that how good it would be to give her Gavo a complete family. Her son after all deserved the best.

But she couldn’t.

All the same time, they reached Gavi’s school, so he picked up his bag, and went to Dove to give her a good bye kiss. Dove kissed her son’s cheeks, before saying, "Baby, I will be sure to make time for this activity day in your school."

Gavi gave her a big smile and nodded. But when he turned his bag, he bit his lower lip, in subtle reluctance.
