Monsters Die When Killed

Chapter 651: Chapter 11: The One Who Wants to Be a Hero
But Zhou Buyi’s wooden body, though enormous, was exceptionally nimble. He used his massive frame to easily block every one of Su Zhou’s attacks, either parrying them or deflecting them with sheer force. When Su Zhou suddenly gathered a Dragon Breath Cannon behind him, Zhou Buyi’s long, root-like hair floated up and formed a halo-like shield that blocked the entire attack.
He even had enough energy left to counterattack. The pupils in the giant statue’s eyes instantly turned to jade, and a faint cyan Spiritual Light swirled within them like a vortex, pulsing with dark brilliance. The next instant, two beams of Wood Divine Thunder shot out from his eyes.
But this move was aimed at the wrong opponent. The moment Su Zhou sensed the shift in Zhou Buyi’s Spiritual Power, he had already begun to use his Thunder Technique. As the Wood Divine Thunder raced toward him, an equally powerful—or perhaps even stronger—Five Elements Thunder Light was already coalescing into a Thunder Spear between his hands. Facing the incoming deep-cyan Thunder Light, Su Zhou hurled his spear. The terrifying Homogeneous Power instantly devoured Zhou Buyi’s Thunder Light and blasted back toward him.
“Good!”
Without a moment’s hesitation, Zhou Buyi strode forward. His arm instantly transformed from cyan jade into silvery metal, and he snatched the incoming Thunder Spear. The berserk Thunder Light, as if striking a lightning rod, channeled directly down his metal arm and into the Divine Wood beneath him. At the same time, the arm that had conducted the Thunder Light began to glow brightly with Wood Thunder Light.
This time, however, Zhou Buyi didn’t intend to simply release the Thunderbolt. Instead, he used electromagnetic acceleration to turn his metal arm into a heavy hammer, planning to shatter Su Zhou’s body with brute force!
‘The Divine Wood Power creates all things, allowing one to freely alter the body’s nature. Transforming it into metal, wood, or jade takes but a single thought.’ Ever since reaching the Celestial Spirit Martial God Realm, Zhou Buyi had known that there were no forbidden zones left for him in this world. Aside from the planet’s core and crust, he could even survive with ease in the Sea of Magma within the mantle.
But Zhou Buyi, who had expected Su Zhou to dodge this blow, was shocked to discover that Su Zhou didn’t dodge or evade at all. Instead, he charged straight toward the giant fist, and then, in a blinding flash of light… transformed into a Giant Dragon!
BOOM! The massive dragon claw also clenched into a fist. Layers of Gale Armor wrapped around it, shaping it like a rocket. Imitating the technique the Silent had once used to strike him with a rocket-propelled Exoskeleton Armor, Su Zhou instantly accelerated his own punch to ten times the speed of sound.
The muscles on his right arm bulged, coursing with enhanced Fire Spiritual Power and self-healing Undying Blood in a continuous cycle of self-harm, self-healing, and self-enhancement. Su Zhou let out a furious roar, and his rocket punch exploded forward with a deafening boom. He collided head-on with Zhou Buyi’s electromagnetically accelerated metal fist, and in a spray of flesh, blood, and wood chips, blew the front half of his own right arm—along with Zhou Buyi’s—into smithereens!
Shattering one’s own arm would have caused an ordinary person to faint from the pain instantly, but for the two combatants, it was merely an appetizer. With a pair of loud laughs, the Giant Dragon and the wooden statue crashed into each other. Raging flames and cyan Wood Qi burst from the point of impact where their fists collided, enveloping them both.
Within a few breaths, his shattered right arm had completely regenerated, while his opponent had also regrown a new hand—and even a third and a fourth. Su Zhou watched as Zhou Buyi instantly transformed into an Eight-armed Asura. The colossal wooden statue, once as solemn as a divine idol, now looked just like a killing machine. Its eight arms delivered strikes at four times the frequency of a normal human, completely overwhelming him.
‘He can grow more hands, but as a dragon, I have a tail!’ Ignoring the lunging Zhou Buyi, Su Zhou simply turned sideways. His iron tail, like a whip covered in sharp thorns, lashed out, splitting the air and generating Thunder Light in the resulting vacuum. It smashed into the wooden statue’s left thigh. Even though countless vines and roots immediately sprouted to stitch the wound shut, Zhou Buyi’s assault still faltered for an instant.
Su Zhou seized this fleeting opportunity. He stomped down on the crown of the Immortal Banyan Tree’s Divine Wood. The sturdy material began to crumble and collapse under the Giant Dragon’s immense force, even bursting into Flame from the friction. At the same time, the powerful reaction force accelerated Su Zhou to his absolute limit. He reinforced himself with a Gale Shield, turning his body into a living rocket, and delivered a headbutt exceeding Mach 8. He drove his two incredibly sharp Dragon Horns directly into the chest of the Divine Wood Giant Statue, launching the nearly forty-meter-tall colossus into the air and sending it plummeting off the treetop platform toward the earth below.
The crisp, sickening sound of shattering ribs and spine could be heard, accompanied by flashes of Thunder Light.
The moment of impact, the two thick Dragon Horns began to discharge electricity at full power. From point-blank—or even negative—distance, Su Zhou commanded the Five Thunders, directly and decisively destroying all the Spiritual Qi Organs and structures inside Zhou Buyi’s body and setting his entire wooden form ablaze.
