Chapter 1801: Chapter 462: Dreamweaving Survivors?
A sharp pain coursing through his body dragged Tu Hu from deep unconsciousness.
He struggled to open his heavy eyelids, his vision first blurry, then gradually becoming clear.
What greeted his eyes was a grey sky and several towering wooden poles crossed together.
Memories from before he fainted surged back.
He suddenly became fully awake, propping himself up, to find he was lying on a black stone slab.
"Yo~"
At this moment, a childish chirping sound came from behind.
Tu Hu turned his head to look and saw behind him were three uniquely shaped creatures.
They had humanoid forms, standing only about knee-high, with large heads and faces mostly occupied by gem-like clear eyes, with vertical pupils that bore no trace of fierceness.
The leader had deep blue scales with a diamond mark on its forehead.
To its left was a pale pink little creature, its eyes the largest, appearing very lively, seemingly particularly interested in his clothes, its little claws constantly tugging at his pant leg.
On the right was a dark green little creature, gently sniffing the air as if trying to discern the scent on him, eyes pondering.
Not far behind them lay the carcass of the slain giant spider, its charred, gaping holes striking dread.
This led Tu Hu to instinctively guess these three harmless little beings might have dealt with the cave giant spider and saved him.
At this moment, realizing Tu Hu was already awake.
The heads of the three little creatures were squeezed together, continuously emitting "yo-yo" sounds.
But this sound to Tu Hu seemed to convey specific meanings.
"That Fierce ones has his scent on him, it should be him who did it... Will he be dangerous? Was saving him the right choice?" The leader, Xiao Lann, said cautiously.
"His clothes are shiny, he looks dopey, doesn’t seem like a bad thing." Xiao Fen tilted his head analyzing.
"He’s gravely injured, chaotic aura, but he has the ability to defeat the Fierce, perhaps he can help our tribe resolve the current crisis."
Tu Hu was stunned.
He understood their words.
This ability seemed innate, requiring no analysis, the meaning naturally presented in his mind.
And what they referred to as Fierce was likely the blind giant beast he had repelled with one punch.
"Thank... Thank you for saving me, I... mean no harm."
The three little creatures suddenly froze, their gem-like eyes widening in disbelief.
The pink little creature was the first to react, jumping up excitedly:
"He spoke, he’s using our language, he understands us."
Xiao Lann’s eyes lost much of their caution, replaced by puzzlement.
It stepped forward, looking up at Tu Hu, saying "yo":
"Who are you? Where did you come from? Why were you found injured in the Black Thorn Forest?"
Tu Hu struggled to recollect, but his mind held only glimpses of traveling through passages, shattered light and shadow, and the pursuit by giant beasts, prior memories remained blank.
Upon realizing this, a bitter expression crossed his face, he shook his head and said:
"I... don’t remember, only that I was chased by different monsters consecutively... then ended up here."
He pointed at his torn clothing and dried blood at the corner of his mouth, indicating his poor condition.
Xiao Lü nodded upon hearing:
"His confusion doesn’t seem feigned, the injuries are real, possibly memory loss due to severe injury."
Xiao Lann pondered for a moment, seemingly making a decision.
It called out once.
Soon, several smaller, differently colored similar little creatures arrived, carrying a giant leaf brimming with clear spring water and several enticingly fragrant translucent white fruits, placed before Tu Hu.
"Eat, you need to recover."
Looking at the food brought a strong hunger to his heart.
At this moment, Tu Hu extended his trembling hand due to weakness, picked up a fruit and placed it in his mouth.
The fruit melted upon contact, a gentle energy quickly spread, soothing his parched throat and injured body, even easing the sharp pains within.
Meanwhile, he looked up at these three little creatures before him.
With a general analysis of the current circumstances in his mind.
The tribe these three little creatures belonged to and the tribe of the blind giant beast pursuing him previously were enemies.
They discovered the "Fierce" that he had heavily injured with a punch and keenly sensed the unique aura belonging to him remaining on Fierce.
To uncover the truth of Fierce’s injury, they tracked the aura and chanced upon his attack by the cave giant spider, thus offering aid.
Saving him had a clear purpose.
They observed he possessed the potential to injure or even kill the "Fierce", hoping to harness his strength to fight against the force threatening their tribe’s survival.
Upon realizing this, Tu Hu’s heart surprisingly found some peace.
Having a clear exchange condition is easier for an amnesiac like him to accept than undiscriminated kindness.
He need this relatively safe environment to recover from his injuries and figure out his situation.
He looked at the leader, Ah Lann, and spoke:
"I understand... You need my help to deal with those... Fierce?"
The diamond mark on Xiao Lann’s forehead seemed to faintly glow, then nodded solemnly:
"The Fierce Tribe... They’re strong, numerous... stealing our food, destroying our homeland... We... require strength, you possess the strongest strength we’ve ever seen."
Xiao Fen vigorously nodded beside him, eyes filled with anticipation.
