Monsters Are Coming

Chapter 1666: Chapter 422: Jile Faction, Rule Blueprint_3
Low-dimensional Fortune is disturbed by higher dimensions.
It is as if a higher being casually tosses crumbs to the ants; the ant colony takes it as a gift from heaven, believing it to be a stroke of great Fortune that can change the fate of their tribe.
But in the eyes of that higher-dimensional Life, this is neither Blessing nor accident.
It is merely discarding some crumbs at random.
In Monster World, this cruel stage woven and collided together by countless higher-dimensional wills...
To barely stand firm and carve out a place, which one is not a hero upon whom Fortune is fixed, a destiny-chosen figure sung throughout the epic of an entire civilization.
Each one of them was once the brightest Star in the long river of their Small World’s history.
They were the first to bear the World Destiny of their entire world, and those who followed them were basically the strongest "first tribe" ever recorded in their Small World.
Yet even so, after descending into Monster World, they were like the vilest weeds, dying off in batch after batch without a sound.
This world has buried an unknown number of Legends; what it lacks least are the strong.
Thus in its eyes, if the already recruited Jile Players cannot even cross the Death Space, they are simply unworthy of entering Monster World.
The cruelty of Monster World is something that even it, the behind-the-scenes God who personally forged Death Space, trembles before.
Potential seeds that end up aborted in the trial due to a momentary misfortune, in its view, only prove that their potential was hollow.
Surveying this vast and boundless chaotic scene of Monster World, any force that can rise within a short time in the cracks between billions of races—behind which one is not interwoven with Fortune so heaven-defying it borders on the impossible.
For any force, it can never know whether the next moment will be an encounter with opportunity, or being casually erased by some passing higher-dimensional existence.
Strength can only determine how steadily one walks.
Luck alone determines whether one can live.
No matter how stunningly talented, there will always be a stronger existence hanging overhead.
Many times, survival or annihilation does not depend on how hard one strives.
It depends on whether a stronger existence, at a certain moment, just happens not to notice you—this slightly more robust insect.
Its understanding of Fortune and strength is:
Fortune is wind.
Without wind, even the fullest seed can only remain trapped in adversity, and even the mightiest sailboat can only stagnate in dead water.
It determines whether your seed can be carried away from the abyss, whether your ship can enter a shipping lane, providing the very possibility of growth.
Strength and effort are the Life force of the seed itself, and the structural solidity of the hull.
When the wind arrives, only the full seeds can seize the chance to take root and sprout; only the Solid ships can ride the wind and waves without breaking apart and sinking amid opportunity.
Only when the wind (Fortune) rises and lifts the curtain of destiny can the true value of the seeds and ships (strength and effort) be revealed, pushing the race to inch forward through this cruel world.
And Death Space selects precisely those seeds in which Fortune and ability coexist.
To construct this Space, it continuously poured in vast amounts of Extreme Joy Energy, remaining in a state of deficit throughout the early phase.
There even appeared some unknown loophole with a cause that could not be traced, resulting in small but persistent unknown Energy leakage.
Fortunately, at this stage, the Jile Player System has begun to generate Energy revenue.
The income is sufficient to cover expenditures, with surplus left over.
This revenue comes from the Jile Player Teams who successfully pass the trials and step into Monster World.
They are granted Rule-derived Jile, becoming mobile Sources of Corruption.
Scattered throughout Monster World, their main task is to seek out living beings and Bewitch them into falling into the Jile Illusion.
As long as the targets are lost in the illusion, unable to extricate themselves, their spirit, will, and Life will be burned and transformed in the extremity of ecstasy, becoming the purest Rule-derived Extreme Joy Energy.
At this stage, Hunting and exploration yields are actually secondary.
Seducing living beings into Corruption is the primary source of revenue for these Jile Player Teams.
Occasionally, these teams return to the inner city of Death Space to settle their accounts, then consume "Jile Points" to carry out enhancement and upgrades.
Among them, several rapidly developing Player Teams have woven illusions with ever-greater mastery, their Bewitchment efficiency increasing by the day.
Each time they return, the Energy they contribute becomes ever more immense.
The only problem is that the casualty rate is too high.
Yet as long as revenue can cover expenditure, this loss of Combat Power does not concern the Lord of Jile.
By choosing to throw these Jile Players—who have successfully advanced from the trials—into Monster World, it had already prepared itself for them never coming back.
Because they are the pioneers of the Jile Player System.
They exist precisely as stepping stones to explore future feasibility, and as consumables for later iterations and optimization.
Every one of their successes adds new content to the subsequent update direction of the "Jile Player System."
Every one of their failures and deaths becomes material for optimizing the next batch of "Jile Player templates."
In Life, they are seeds scattered to spread Corruption, feeding back revenue.
In death, they become the paving stones on the road ahead for the "latecomers," providing data.
Thus, the Life and death of Jile Players are both profit in its eyes.
During this period, it deliberately embedded Rules that encourage team competition into the Jile Player System.
For example, killing Jile Players from other teams will cause a Jile Treasure Chest to drop.
It will randomly draw ten items from the other side’s possessions—these may be Skill Runes, weapons and Equipment, or resources.
This seems likely to cause infighting and lose a portion of existing revenue.
But according to its calculations, this loss is entirely worthwhile.
First, killing is essentially a form of Energy Recovery of Extreme Joy Energy, with only a portion of that Energy being gifted to the Jile Players who complete the kill.
