Monsters Are Coming

Chapter 1664: Chapter 422: Jile Faction, Rule Blueprint
Void World.
In the boundless purple miasma, a magnificent palace floated above.
At the center of the great hall, a demonic purple figure sat cross-legged atop the Transmission Altar.
It had no distinct face, only its eyes remained constant; the other facial organs shifted endlessly within the blur—ecstasy, Suffering, sorrow... all kinds of expressions flickered across its visage.
At this moment, its eyes were tightly closed.
Countless purple silk-like Energy bands danced behind it, spreading out from the depths of the hall, like living nerves whose veins pierced into the Void, connecting to the Jile Sub-Palace that interfaced with Monster World.
This was the Energy network within the Jile Hall, every single second it would transport a colossal amount of Extreme Joy Energy to the hall for relay.
Then the Lord of Jile would decide whether the Extreme Joy Energy was to be invested into research and development, into sub-palace construction, or stored as reserve.
Above its head was a vortex relay station used to recruit Jile Players.
Compared to the past, the interior of the great hall had gained two new pillars.
They respectively represented the Jile Players in Death Space and the Jile Army in the Phantom Spirit Wilderness Region.
At this moment, under the Lord of Jile’s conscious Control, the two pillars slowly made contact, but then suddenly separated again.
After long, silent Cultivation, the Lord of Jile slowly opened its eyes at this time.
"Failed!"
Having once again attempted Rule linkage only to end in failure, the Lord of Jile could not help but sigh inwardly.
It glanced at the Evil Language concealed by its side, and its consciousness immediately sank into the Perception network.
Following those purple silk-like connections, it reached the Illusion Spirit Wilderness in an instant.
Immediately, an immense data stream surged into its Perception.
Over these years, through relentless war training, the Purple Tide and Insect Tide, the two Jile Army corps, had fully shed their old forms.
They no longer required cumbersome commands.
Slaughter had been transformed into a kind of Combat Instinct, deeply embedded into the underlying consciousness of every combat unit.
In the Perception images, on the battlefield of the Illusion Spirit Wilderness, the two legions turned into two surging tides, rushing toward the player army, erupting into fierce collision and strangulation.
The units of the Purple Tide split and recombined like liquid Metal, while the Insect Race tore apart defensive lines with pure brute force.
The Commander during this process remained mostly in an observational state, allowing the Purple Tide and Insect Tide to autonomously learn and Evolution through battle.
At this time, the Lord of Jile, through the signal towers on the battlefield, issued a simple command.
In an instant, all units across the battlefield, regardless of distance, had their behavioral patterns abruptly unified, becoming a single Destruction flood that rolled forward.
This left the Lord of Jile quite satisfied.
These two replica legions already possessed war value in large-scale systemic operations.
The only remaining flaw was that when facing extremely complex individual-level micro-Control, they would appear rather rigid.
Yet to it, as long as there was progress, that counted as success.
By now, the Jile War Legion had already iterated to the Fifth Generation.
The model of the First Generation was very rudimentary, with native warriors serving as Commanders, conducting remote Spirit Manipulation.
At this stage, the Commander’s mind quickly became fatigued; even investing full Strength at high intensity throughout, they still could not Control the ever-growing scale of the Jile War Legion.
Spiritual power was consumed at a terrifying rate during command, and would soon be exhausted.
It could be regarded as a brute-force Control mode, all hard-driving, devoid of any technique.
On this basis, the Second Generation model upgraded by enhancing the Commander’s ability.
First, referencing the Black Tide System, the Commander was provided with a portable charging Purple Eye, granting enhancement to Spiritual Strength and spiritual power endurance.
But the problem still remained unsolved; the Commander could only operate a limited number of war units for short periods.
The Third Generation improved the signal transmission mechanism, shifting from individual Control to parallel Control.
This made the actions of the warriors in the Jile Army neat and uniform, greatly reducing the Commander’s Control pressure.
Yet new problems surfaced as a result.
The Control pressure indeed decreased, but the Combat Power units became increasingly clumsy; parallel Control meant every combat unit executed the same actions.
Thus, even when no enemy was in front, or when movement caused allied units to occupy the front, they would still launch attacks forward due to the parallel command.
Attacking enemies, attacking empty air, attacking allies... under the parallel mode, Control could not form effective war power at all.
Placed on the battlefield, they were nothing more than live targets.
The failure of the Third Generation’s parallel Control brought its research direction back to the core problem: how to reduce Commander pressure while granting war units a basic "autonomous reaction" ability.
Thus, the Fourth方案 came into being.
This方案 shifted toward the war autonomy of the troop types.
The specific方案 was to construct a Rune database for the Jile Army.
When the Extreme Joy Purple Tide and Jile Insect Tide received macro-level instructions from the Commander during battle, they would autonomously retrieve from the database the most suitable preset combat mode to execute, based on the type of enemy encountered and the environment they were in.
This mode was the beginning of success, finally granting the Jile Army basic tactical adaptability on the battlefield.
From a pile of rigid puppets on strings, they evolved into automated soldiers capable of executing simple tactical orders.
But this system still had bottlenecks.
The database was preset; once faced with entirely new tactics or enemies beyond the database, the legions would fall into Chaos, unable to determine how to respond.
Thus, on this basis the Fifth Generation was optimally born: the autonomous Evolution system.
Compared with the Fourth Generation, the Fifth completed the transition from a static database to a dynamic database.
It modified the generation templates of the troop types, designing a signal Rune within each troop template’s body.
