Player Forum.
[Character Commentary: Is the Mingwu Emperor the biggest sinner of his clan?]
Original Poster (History Buff): Brothers, let’s have a rational discussion about the defeat of the Mingwu Clan in the Bright Star Sea Area. How much of the responsibility falls on the Mingwu Emperor’s strategic blunders? Personally, I think at least ninety percent. Choosing to continue in Monster World but missing opportunities due to indecision—a complete waste.
2nd Floor: Is there even a need for discussion? The Mingwu Emperor is such a drag on his team. If it weren’t for his poor command, would General Ye Ming have died? Would the Mingwu Clan have been wiped out? Typical of someone who’s bad at the game yet loves to play—dead weight.
Recovery Mist: Is it not too extreme to rant like the above? The battlefield situation changes rapidly; how can it be summed up in a few words like "indecisiveness"? Any decision back then needed to weigh the pros and cons. Many times, it’s only through putting oneself in another’s shoes that one can truly understand what someone else was thinking. The Mingwu Emperor certainly made mistakes, but he clearly had his considerations, like preserving strength to cope with potential risks.
7th Floor: Wow, you don’t often see someone kissing up to a fool like the Mingwu Emperor on the forum, @Recovery Mist. You’re the first oddball I’ve seen here defending that fool. There’s truly no end to the wonders of the world—fools actually have fans now. And preserving strength? The house was robbed—preserve ashes maybe?
Recovery Mist: Crude. If we’re discussing, let’s discuss—why the personal attacks? Where’s your evidence for this "poor command"? Relying solely on results to infer processes, how is that different from speculation? Back then, the Ancient God Race was entrenched north of the Bright Star Sea Area. If the Mingwu Clan had recklessly thrown its entire army forward and been cut off from its clan land, the outcome would have been even worse.
17th Floor: You make me laugh. You silly fool, trying to link me to military strategy? And you dare ask me for evidence? The complete annihilation of the army is ironclad proof; General Ye Ming’s body explosion is ironclad proof—isn’t that enough? As for your claim about the Ancient God Race threat, the Ancient God Race is all about chill arena management—they couldn’t care less about the Mingwu Clan.
23rd Floor: This Recovery Mist must have something wrong in the head. My mom should explode right now—first time seeing someone stand for the Mingwu Emperor’s viewpoint. And perspective swap? I’ll swap you XXXX. All are re-entering Monster World now; the bottom-tier forces should go all-in. If you don’t go all-in, why play Monster World? This wants that and that wants this, can’t even catch warm poop.
Seeing Flowers in the Mist: A summer insect cannot speak of ice. You’re all about end results. Vulgar in speech and mind, you don’t truly understand the strategic gameplay and dilemmas. Debating with you is a waste of breath.
102nd Floor: Getting anxious, getting anxious—when unable to give a reasonable explanation, you start acting mysterious. You think you’re the reincarnation of the Mingwu Emperor himself, to clean things up like this? I’d even say the Mingwu Emperor was Shuyan’s inside man back then—the purpose was to team up to bring down the high-achieving General Ye Ming... Truly can’t fathom how fools like you pass genetic screening and identification, how come you were even born... So spare yourself, fool, character discussion threads aren’t suitable for you. Go back to playing with your mud.
...
Watching the enraged Mingwu Emperor beside him, confronting the light screen with high-frequency arguing, Ye Ming couldn’t help but feel a sense of shame.
After becoming a player, he suggested that the Mingwu Emperor take a closer look at forum materials.
And even shared a lot of strategically focused threads he’s collected with him.
But during the browsing of strategy threads, His Majesty saw numerous player evaluations of him.
Initially willing to debate with them, he increasingly lost control, completely entering confrontation mode.
When facing forum players, His Majesty was clearly not a match.
Pressed throughout the interaction, the more he read, the angrier he became—and the angrier he got, the more he wanted to prove himself. He was trapped in a vortex of argument.
You could visibly spot the previously grayish cheeks of His Majesty faintly reddening due to excitement, and he continued mumbling softly:
"Unworthy wretches, narrow-minded fools, infuriating..." kind of phrases.
This emperor, once holding the right to command in Mingwu, who wouldn’t show joy or anger outwardly, had completely lost his past composure here.
Ye Ming inwardly shook his head.
He deeply understood the combat power of forum players.
It’s a place completely different from the real battlefield—a domain advocating sarcasm, personal attacks, nitpicking, infinitely magnifying the flaws in the opponent’s statements, along with the classic "protect one’s mom" wars.
Where logic and evidence are less lethal than a sharp insult or a mocking emoji.
Although His Majesty has lived through eons, weathered countless storms.
But whether governing domestic affairs or engaging in external conquest, what he faced were either officials meticulous about etiquette or sword-and-shield enemies.
The mode of communication, nothing but decrees, negotiations, or wars.
He had never encountered such a baptism of "verbal art," devoid of bottom lines and focused on low blows, from a screen’s distance.
In this domain of forum spraying, he was simply pure as a white sheet.
Attempting the debating style of reasoning and presenting facts.
When faced with counterclaims like: "Complete annihilation is the smoking gun," "Your mom exploded," and such irresponsible bickering and personal attacks, he appeared so weak and even a bit laughable.
Just like a Confucian scholar highly academic in discourse, suddenly thrown into a marketplace trying to lecture the Analects to a bunch of shrews, only to end up dizzy and questioning life due to curses.
Let alone the Emperor’s prior life as a demigod; even in God Realm, entering the forum would mean enduring a few rebuffs from cranky players.
Players don’t care who you are; differing opinions mean getting hit.
Watching the emperor get angrier—nearly eager to continue typing rebuttals, Ye Ming finally couldn’t resist and placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Your Majesty." His tone carried a hint of helplessness:
"The forum has its own rules. Seriously engaging there means losing. Instead of wasting energy on explanations, why don’t we do something more productive—try the sharpness of new weapons?"
