Chapter 4470: Almar’s Curtain
Chapter 4470: Almar’s Curtain
"It is really something," I said as my soul sense wave had finally touched the Primes.
Yesterday, I had sensed eight Prime’s, but I am now sensing twenty-three of them, and three among them are familiar to me.
The confusion of why they had gathered here had also become clear when I looked at the purple curtain of thick energy behind them.
It is a little surprising, though. I thought there would be a few decades before it happens.
The thing is very unpredictable. Many times, people think it is opening only to wait wastefully. Though this time, they seemed more sure, seeing the number of Prime’s.
Time passed, and they finally sensed me with surprise appearing on the faces of many.
A surprise appeared on their faces, before some smiled and one glared, but she controlled her expression.
Soon, I appeared in front of them.
"I was sure we would meet again, but didn’t expect we would be meeting this soon, Prime Arys," said the green-skinned man with horns.
"It’s a surprise to me as well, Prime Grerus," I replied to the Prime from Karisor. The organisation I appeared in after walking through the rift.
I nodded at other Primes, including Prime Belira, with whom I had saved Jass.
"Almar’s curtain, I thought. It is decades before it opens," I said, looking at the dense purple curtain behind them. It is powerful enough to kill even Silver Prime.
It had done that, and it is why Silver Prime isn’t here, because even after this curtain opens. Silver Prime, suffer in it.
"We thought so too, but all signs show that it is going to open in a few hours to few days," replied a short Prime, with blue scaly skin.
Almar’s curtain is a natural place formed from the energies here.
It is actually a dome, which disappeared for a few days, opening a whole new area that is filled with resources. If that alone were the case, I wouldn’t have come.
I have enough of my own resources, but here, there are a lot of plants.
These plants have dense law power in them, not like the faint ones I have. They are rare even here, but they are here, and they are very important to these Prime.
They will kill for it; really kill for it.
"Can I look at the data?" I asked. The man nodded and sent me the crystal. I looked at the data inside.
I didn’t study; I let my clones do it, while I kept an eye on the Primes around me.
They may be smiling and talking politely, but they wouldn’t hesitate to kill one another for the law plant or other resource with the power of laws.
It is too important for them. It had happened many times before; nearly every time it opened, Primes died.
Everyone here is powerful. Twenty-one of them are Peak Primes, with only two are High-Primes. Weak didn’t come here, not only because it’s hard to reach this deep, but also because they are not allowed.
In front of these powerful ones, they will be butchered easily.
Here, half of them have comprehended the law; I am sure there are some among them who also have, but just haven’t revealed it yet.
Finding the resource related to their law would help them tremendously with the comprehension.
Even if it is not the law they have comprehended or didn’t want, it would still be just as beneficial, as they could exchange it with others for something else.
"It does seem like it might open this time," I said after a few minutes.
"Let’s hope it does. My progress in law had stalled; a resource from here could help me break out of that," replied Prime Grerus.
Many nodded.
There was a silence, with many turning toward the curtains with their tools out. They are focused on it, but more than half of their focus is always on the Primes.
"Prime Arys, I heard there were a lot of resources in the realm." Said the old elf woman. "Yes," I replied.
"Would you mind trading some with this old woman?" she asked. Making everyone turn toward me. "Not at all," I replied, and the next moment, I brought thousands of resources out.
I usually do not show off, but these people already know that I have brought a lot of resources from the realm.
The next moment, a lot of Prime came closer and we began trading resources.
Not only themselves, but also for their organisation.
I sold them as long as I got things I wanted in exchange. Even Prime Grerus traded, despite me trading with him before.
By the time we finished. It was nearly evening.
"See you tomorrow, Prime Arys, or tonight, if it opens in a few hours," said Prime Grerus. "Let’s hope it is tonight," I replied.
He nodded and flew away; others flew away too, before stopping at a distance and taking out their abode. It might not seem like it, but it is a very dangerous area.
I have sensed countless monsters throughout the day. The only reason they didn’t attack was due to the sheer number of us.
They are dumb, but not idiots.
The night is different; more powerful monsters come, and sometimes even Silver Prime monsters come out of its territory, and nobody wants to risk that.
It is why all the abodes are stealth type. Some of them are very good.
I watched them before flying away, before stopping at a spot. It is at a distance that I would have at least a few seconds to respond if someone were to come toward me.
When I entered my abode, I took alertness to the highest level.
I can’t afford to be careless here; there are very powerful Primes, and their numbers are large. While the chances of them grouping together are small, I wouldn’t completely discard the idea.
It is why I made other preparations before finally walking to my bedroom.
