Chapter 4070: Demonic Tree

I am getting close, a few more minutes and my soul waves will tell me what it in the center is.

I could feel my heart beating wildly as I stepped closer and closer to my destination and I was scared, given the things I was seeing.

The energies there are extremely dense; the monsters are just hairbreadth away from the limit.

It felt like I was walking into a freaking trap, and I want to leave and let the prime handle it. It would be a wise decision, but my legs didn't seem to listen to me.

They are moving while I am trying to stop them.

I should stop; there might really be a prime waiting out there. In front of it, I will be nothing more than an ant. It would be able to crush with a single attack.

I am not listening; the only thing, I am doing is taking a little precaution.

Sending out the crystals with information. I am not explaining it in much detail; the only thing I am telling them. If I didn't return the mentioned time, vaporize the hell out of this place.

I have explained things enough to make do it without hesitation.

A few minutes passed and I stopped in my tracks, as I could finally see what was in the center.

It is not a prime, but despite it, I took a step back unconsciously. What I am seeing abominations it looked like an abomination, but it's not.

Its the aura of the world. I am not sensing the usual repulsiveness; I sense it from Grimms and other foreign things.

This is the creation of our world, but is as nasty as foreigners.

I began to move slowly, while the twelve tiny balls moved ahead of me. Since I have decided to move forward, I will have to move with complete preparation.

If the thing alerted the monsters; it would be terrible. I will have no choice but to escape with everything, I have, and I might even risk the lives of those outside.

It's why I am saying it's wise to let the Prime handle it, but my heart isn't willing to listen, after seeing those faces.

An hour and a half later, I stopped.

I had reached it; the purple crystal tree, with the faces of humans on its trunk; there were thirteen faces, and all of them looked like they were in extreme pain.

The six are part of the two teams, while six are other people it had captured.

We only had information about two people gone missing, but it seemed like at least seven did.

It is hard to keep track, given the number of Sovereigns in the marsh.

I didn't move and watched the purple crystal tree and the dark purple heart at the center of it, which was beating.

With every beat, the energy would be released from the tree, and it would spread across the dome, which would slowly expand.

The tree, as I had said, isn't Prime, but I felt danger from it. The danger is deeper than what I felt against the snake, which is at the limit as me and the tree.

The in front of me isn't big; it is five meters long with seven branches.

I wish its size could make me feel better, but unfortunately, it does not. It wouldn't have even if it had been the size of a finger.

Its power that matters, not the size.

I waited on my spot for twenty-three minutes before bursting out of my hiding spot and moving toward the tree.

I didn't hold back on my speed and used the stealth at the highest.

I wanted to fight it in an exciting battle, but I knew it was a danger and sooner, I finished. The better it would be, and that's what I am planning to do.

There was a big open area around the tree, and I moved fast. As fast as I could, crossing half of the distance in record time.

I was less than fifty meters away from the tree and tree and thought would reach it when it reacted.

Krrrr Krrrrr Krrrrr

The strange high-pitched noise rang out from the thirteen faces and at that exact moment, the branches of the tree moved toward me.

They stretched effortlessly, and sharp thorns began to appear on them.

Seeing that, my expressions couldn't help but turned serious and my great sword appeared in my hand.

I would have used the spear, but I want to be at my best and I am at my best with a great sword.

The first branch reached me, and I moved my sword forward.

CLANNNNG!

My sword clashed against the thorn branch, and I stopped in my tracks, before shaking.

I had expected it to be powerful, but it was more powerful than I had thought. It shook me so hard that it had nearly forced me to take a step back.

There is also the extremely powerful energy. My armor is dealing with it; expelling it as it processes it.

There is no way I will take this energy inside me.

I hadn't even stabilized myself when the five more thorny branches came at me.

CLANNNNG CLANNNNG CLANNNNG!

My sword stopped two, while my shield stopped the other three, before I moved my sword

again to defend against the first branch that attacked me.

'The tree is too powerful,' I thought as the blood leaked from the corner of my lips.

The sheer power of these branches is so much, that I wanted to run away, but I quickly got

control over my emotions and moved to defend against the attack.

It was so fast and powerful that I needed to use every ounce of burst to defend, and even then,

it was shaking me.

Thank god, I had kept one shield to myself. If I didn't, those branches would have pierced

through me.

One shield is far from enough against this powerful tree, but it is all I have, and I will need to manage with it, to kill this demonic tree.
