Chapter 920 Raziel’s Army
Sensing High to Elder God, guards stagger to their knees for a moment. My eyes went wide as the distortion field vanished. And I knew I had just created a trump card. To disrupt the flow of Divinity, if even for a second, was to stop the entire battle.
Pondering how I could amplify such a technique with the Dao of illusion, I couldn’t help but smile as hundreds of guards came my way, weapons at the ready as they surrounded me with flushed expressions. I raised my hands to surrender.
“It’s just me. I was trying out a new technique. How’d you like it?” I inquired, studying the faces of the various Elder Gods and High Gods. “I’ll also take stun silence,” I added, noting the gloomy stillness.
Standing awkwardly, unsure what to do, I suddenly paused and narrowed my eyes as I sensed Freya near the gate to the estate. Sensing something wrong, I wasted no time as I shadowed step near the entrance.
I stared at the blood stains on her gown, and my eyes narrowed as she stood still with an icy stare, ” What happened? ” I asked.
“The Court of Nox is working with Raziel.” She said, taking me by surprise.
“Explain.”
She spat a slew of blood from her lips, bruised and busted. A well of anger began to take root within my heart, yet my mind remained icy cold. Thoughts ran without the various sins, touching upon my soul.
“Aiza ambushed me alongside a few angels,” She explained. ” I tried contacting you, but they had this strange device that stopped any outside communication.”
Aiza. That twat. Fuck. My past self was a fucking idiot. Jesus, if I could travel back in time, I’d kick that fucker in the head.
“There’s more. Aiza. She’s a Nephilim now. I don’t know what happened, but her power and battle prowess had a massive spike. While I’m sure she’s not at your level, genesis equipment puts her on another level.”
“Have you contacted the other founders?”
“I wasn’t able to get through, but master, most of them were on our side since we entered the abyss. We gave them a massive chance to defend themselves against the Overworld.” Said Freya a little frantically.
“Blackwater! You bastard!”
Paying no mind to Valice storming towards me with a furious expression, my eye focused on Freya as I raised my hand. Think of what Mephisto said; the darkness around my hand suddenly swelled into action as a dark violet light began to surge. 𝚍n𝚘v𝚕.𝚘𝚛𝚐
Using the darkness as fuel, I watched Freya’s injuries fade. The Intent held within the wounds started to fade as the devouring power of darkness withered the Intent away while also healing at a blinding rate.
“If you can’t contact them, then something is wrong, and we’ve been betrayed. But nothing has changed. That was within the well of possibilities. Mimir is, after all, slaughtering their entire organization with the help of a Paragon.”
“Have Jinx meet me. I want to know what the hell happened within her clan. Even if devils and demons are running wild, they are off the abyss. It’s embarrassing seeing them so pathetically weak.”
“Already done, my Lord. ” Said Freya sternly. ” Jinx is on the way. But it seems like a few paragons aided in the attack. Nevertheless, we’ve got bigger issues.”
“Blackwater, you ass, don’t you–”
“Raziel is gathering an army. When I was escaping last night, I ran west and saw a massive league of Angels armed to a T. Things are getting serious. Something is about to happen.”
My brow jumped, and my eyes snapped to Valice, ” Send your husband a message. Tell him to get his people out of the city. Everyone weaker than high god is at risk. Do it now. And to it silently.”
“Freya, your with me,” I said, placing my arm around her shoulders. I shadowed step into Ezra’s chambers.
“KILL HIM!!!!” A voice bellowed, taking me by surprise as the sounds of gunfire entered my ear, followed by a searing pain in my shoulder as something ran through me. Nevertheless, I dodged the other twelve incoming flashes with a few shadow steps.
Blood spilled out, but I did not attempt to reveal any anguish as my forsaken qi flared with wild abandonment disintegrating every weapon and armor from the small squad waiting for me in Ezra’s chamber.
“Eh?” They all said, and heads rolled as my spear began to reap lives without discretion.
“Master, are you alright?” Freya asked, touching my shoulder where I was shot.
“I’m fine,” I said, knowing my body was as strong as an elder god. “It’s a through and through. I was careless. They seem to have taken into account my Shadow Step ability. It was a good trap.” I said as the darkness began to mend my injuries. “Seems I’ve got to be more careful.”
Pushing out my senses, I picked up on the few hundred soldiers rushing to my location; many of them who approached held a tainted Seraphic Qi and a few with demonic qi. Ignoring them for now, my mind began to expand as the darkness became my eyes, and I saw Ezra covered in wounds racing through the city above. By her side was the Chosen of Nox, bleeding a deadly amount of killing Intent.
Leading Ezra and the others, however, was Lilith, free of injuries as I could sense she was using Into The Abyss.
“What do you see, Master?”
“Deadmen,” I answered. “Everyone greatly benefited from being in this godless realm. It seems like the Bed of Chaos will rise to fame after this excursion; never would I imagine that, even as a god, a simple gun would be so terrifying.”
“Rule,” I uttered, lifting my hand as an invisible sphere appeared. I clenched my fist, “Devour.” And as if my word was law, everything around me withered away, leaving nothing behind but an empty building connected to the Stadium.
Killing everyone within Ezra’s slave stable, I opened my palm and snatched their souls, allowing the pure essence of the soul to become armor for Freya and myself. “This armor should stop us from being shot in the head. But there’s a limit so take everything you see seriously.”
“Yes, Master.”
