MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith

Chapter 1695 1695: Entering Seclusion (1)

“…Do you think the plan will work?”

After Ataraxia made sure that neither he nor Valyr would be disturbed during their seclusion, the latter could not help but look at his other self with a hint of doubt, the sight from earlier still lingering in his mind.

“Of course,” replied Ataraxia, giving Valyr a slight grin. “From the reaction of the members alone, there’s no doubt people are gonna start heading here to see if you’re actually staying at the guild.”

“Though they wouldn’t be able to see either of us considering where we currently are, the posts the others made on the forums alone are more than enough to attract the attention of other players.”

“From there, all that’s left is for everyone else in the guild to show the benefits of sticking with Azure Coalition, and everything else will fall into place from there.”

Feeling like his other self had skipped over a few things they should consider during his explanation, Valyr stared at his other self for a bit, briefly thinking about the possibility of other guilds targeting Azure Coalition solely due to his presence.

Though, once he thought about how they were within the territory of a third-tier guild, as well as the fact that both he and Ataraxia had the capability to fight beings above their rank, such worries eventually disappeared from the young man’s mind.

“Shall we begin?” Spending a bit of time to calm both his thoughts and emotions, Ataraxia let out a soft exhale as he looked at his other self with a calm smile.

Faintly nodding at the question in response, Valyr took in a deep breath to compose himself before closing his eyes.

Seeing what his other self was tackling through the connection they shared, Ataraxia did not take long to start either, taking in a deep breath as he focused his attention on the 81 Phases Mana Reformation Scripture.

‘I suppose the goal for now is to push the scripture to the highest level Arcane gave me, which is the 27th level,’ thought the young man to himself, beginning to move the Lesser Arcana within his body according to the instructions from the scripture.

On the other hand, Valyr delved deep into the recesses of his mind as he recalled the information Ataraxia had shared with him regarding the creation of a personal skill.

Staring at the large cores that corresponded to the Prime Azure Energy and Mystic Energy he controlled, the young man started to move closer towards the former as he brought up one of the ongoing quests he had in his mind.

‘…According to this quest, I should make a new skill related to firearms and upgrade it to the peak of Rare grade,’ thought the young man to himself, stopping near the edge of the space covered in Prime Azure Energy.

Gradually heading deeper and deeper into this space, the young man pondered over the various skills he could create that would work with a firearm.

Naturally, skills that increased the amount of damage he could deal with one shot popped up in his mind, considering that all of the firearms he had forged already had a skill like that.

However, as he gave the idea a bit more thought, he began to think from a more abstract perspective, choosing to create a skill that improved a certain aspect of the firearm.

At first, he thought that it would be best if he were to create a skill that improved the accuracy of his shots. After all, such a skill would synergize well with the [Intent of the Silver Death] he had comprehended.

Though, after giving it even more thought, he realized that a skill like that wouldn’t really be all that useful, especially if it were an active skill.

Then again, if it were a passive skill of sorts, the young man wouldn’t hesitate to create one in a heartbeat.

Unfortunately, even with the knowledge Ataraxia shared with him, he had no confidence that he’d be able to create one.

‘Before learning how to run, one first needs to learn how to walk,’ muttered the young man to himself, reminding himself not to bite off more than he could chew.

And so, with him being limited to the creation of active skills for the meantime, Valyr pondered over the idea for a bit more, eventually coming up with one that felt fitting for the current generation of firearms.

‘Reload speed,’ he thought, stopping a fair distance away from the core containing Prime Azure Energy. ‘With an Intent that increases both accuracy and damage, it only makes sense for me to create a skill that increases my reload speed.’

With his mind made up, the young man swiftly got to work, slightly distancing himself away from the core after realizing that the energy around him was slightly overwhelming his senses.

Stopping a point where both his senses and the energy around him were at an equilibrium, Valyr went ahead and willed a rough form of his own body to manifest in front of him, utilizing the Prime Azure Energy around him in the process.

Marking down various nodes on the body that were of greater note to the skill he was creating, the young man pondered over how he would make the energy flowing in his body achieve the goal he wanted.

After making a few rudimentary energy circuits in his mind and testing them out, he soon realized that the methodology between the skill he was making and the skill Ataraxia made was different.

After all, back at the inheritance, the skill Ataraxia needed to create was a movement skill.

On the other hand, he was creating a skill that increased the speed at which he reloaded the firearm.

Though both involved movement in a way, unlike movement skills, there were a set of movements Valyr could not remove during the creation of the skill… which was the act of reloading itself.

Keeping that movement in mind, the young man felt like he had made a breakthrough of sorts, feeling a hint of excitement as he returned to work on the corresponding energy circuit for the skill.

With the experience Ataraxia shared with him, as well as the effects of [Perception of the Grand Origin] working on overdrive, it did not take long for him to achieve minor success, forming a working energy circuit for the skill in a matter of days.

Of course, wanting to maximize the effects of the first-ever skill he was creating, the young man began to apply his Intents after that, slowly but surely incorporating the [Intent of the Silver Death] into the energy circuit of his future skill.

Unknowingly, a month had passed since the start of their seclusion.
