[Nine Steps, Nine Galaxies] (Lv. MAX)
Rarity: Ancient
After spending a great majority of his life towards achieving his lifelong goal, the Fleet-footed Monarch has decided to culminate all of his experiences and knowledge into a skill that embodies the greatest goal he aspires to achieve.
To move as unfettered and as unshackled as possible throughout the vast universe he was in.
Condensing both his insights into movement, as well as the various concepts he had comprehended in that regard, the man was eventually able to create a skill that caused even those at the Divine level to look at him in awe.
For he had crafted an ability that allowed even the strongest of Myths to stand on par with Divine-level beings in some aspects.
This skill gives the user the ability to traverse increasingly farther distances the more steps they take.
The maximum distance they could traverse is limited to the highest-graded concept they have comprehended.
<First Technique: One Step, One Town – Imbuing one’s step with one’s concept, as well as the will to move across vast distances, one would find one’s self arrive at the edge of a town if one stood at its other edge. Cost: 10,000 MP. Cooldown: 5 minutes.>
<Second Technique: Two Steps, Two Cities – Imbuing one’s next step with the yearning to traverse even greater distances, one would find one’s self appear at a distance equivalent to the maximum diameter of two cities put side by side. Cost: 25,000 MP. Cooldown: 15 minutes.>
<Third Technique: Three Steps, Three Kingdoms – Imbuing one’s third step with the wish to see the entirety of the land they reside in, one would find one’s self appear at a faraway place, the distance separating their previous point tens of times greater than before. Cost: 50,000 MP. Cooldown: 1 hour.>
<Fourth Technique: ??? – User must comprehend a Stage 0 Concept or higher.>
<???: ??? – ???>

’Though what I’ve unlocked so far doesn’t make it seem all that great…’
’I can still tell how good of an escape art this is once I can use it to its full potential.’
Briefly glossing through the reason that prompted Aeramis before him to create the skill in the first place, the young man soon shifted his attention towards the techniques embedded in the skill itself.
Seeing that each technique within the skill was effectively a better version of the technique that came before it, Ataraxia could not help but recall the [Basic Tenets of the Arcane] wherein each subsequent activation caused the spell to become stronger than before.
However, unlike that skill, each subsequent step he took with [Nine Steps, Nine Galaxies] brought him farther than ever before, being reminded once more of the inheritance he had entered, as well as the being that had created it.
Then again, as he glanced at the requirements needed to unlock the next technique contained within the skill, the young man raised his eyebrow in curiosity, noticing that the requirement for what would effectively be the 4th step needed him to comprehend a Concept.
Yet, he still didn’t have a Force to his name.
’…Unless the system considers a Legend Grade Intent to be equivalent to a Force already,’ inwardly muttered Ataraxia to himself as he pondered over it for a bit, recalling the discussion he and Aeramis had on the matter.
After thinking about it for a bit more, the young man eventually concluded that it seemed to be the case, considering that everything about the skill’s requirements would pretty much line up if the third technique needed him to comprehend a Force.
’In short, I would need to comprehend a Nascent Law before I could use the skill to its full potential,’ thought the young man, who soon nodded in understanding.
’Makes sense. This skill was made by an Ancient Monarch, after all.’
Whoosh!
With that thought in mind, the young man went ahead and closed the screen he brought up, only to then briefly ponder over the total number of rewards he had gotten from the inheritance.
’If I were to include the skills and titles I got from doing the trials themselves, then I’ve obtained three titles and seven skills altogether,’ said Ataraxia to himself inwardly, only to feel a hint of disbelief as he got to that conclusion.
“It seems you’re incredibly satisfied with the rewards I’ve given you.” Taking note of the slight disbelief and shock that appeared on the young man’s face, Aeramis faintly smiled in response.
“However, what if I told you that I still have one more thing to give you?”
“There’s more?!” At this point, Ataraxia could not help but look at the man with immense disbelief, especially if he were to think about how much he’d gained from the inheritance already. “…Don’t you think you’ve already given me a bit too much?”
“Although they may be the crystallizations of the knowledge and experience I’ve accumulated throughout the years, they truly do not take much out of me to give,” replied Aeramis with a slight chuckle, waving his hand as if he truly did not mind.
Though, not long after, his expression turned solemn.
“However, just because it doesn’t take much effort to give doesn’t change the fact that I’ve still given you a tad too much…”
“In a way, it’s a bit of compensation for the item that I shall give you.”
Whoosh!
Just as the young man was planning to ask him what he meant by that, the latter went ahead and conjured a rift above him, prompting him to extend one of his hands outward as a jagged green crystal fell on his palm.
Allowed the aura of the crystal to faintly emanate throughout their surroundings, Ataraxia felt as if the crystal seemed to lead to a place that was hostile to anyone who dared enter it.
With the young man looking at Aeramis with a raised eyebrow for an explanation after that, it went without saying that the latter spilled more information regarding the crystal, his words immediately causing the young man’s expression to turn sour.
“Though it might not seem like it at first glance…”
“This crystal actually houses a malevolent curse.”
