Chapter 61 Family Talk
“Mr.Reaper, Please read the agreement terms and sign it to complete the deal,” Magnius said, showing Alex a holographic contract.
‘They are not going to charge any money first eighteen Life Serum treatments?’ Alex was surprised after reading the terms of the contract.
‘The golden eagle guild will still benefit more from this deal even after this discount.’ Alex thought as he understood that Magnius bought the legacy at market price, which was a great deal as it was impossible to buy an (S) Rank legacy at market price in normal circumstances.
He understood that Magnius gave him free Life Serum treatments to make him feel indebted, so if he lucked on something good in the future, he should consider their guild first to gain benefits exclusive to Golden Eagle Guild.
Alex read the contract, and after finding no mistakes, he signed it without worrying about his real identity getting exposed.
The agreement was under the complete management of AI Zero, and Alex could sign it with any signature, and it still would be registered in his name, and as AI Zero protected all player information, Alex had no fear of getting his identity discovered by Golden Eagle guild.
“Mr.Reaper, If you want to buy any services of the Golden Eagle guild, you could always look for me,” Magnius said.
“I will keep that in mind,” Alex said with a forced smile, knowing that Eimir was looking at him.
“The Government Health Care Website will be updated in a few hours, and after that, you could get the Life Serum treatment in any big hospital in the country,” Magnius said as he placed two big golden magic bags in front of Alex.
Alex took the magic bags putting them in his inventory, and instantly his coin balance increased by twenty thousand White flame coins.
“Elder Magnius, It was a Pleasure doing business with you,” Alex said as he stood up from his chair to leave.
After exchanging some pleasantries, Alex left the room, leaving Magnius and Eimir alone.
“Eimir, I want to know everything about this situation, and don’t try to lie because I know something is wrong after seeing your reaction when Reaper offered to sell the (S) Rank Legacy,” Magnius asked right after Alex left the room.
“First Elder, Please Help me, or the Second Elder will make my life a living hell,” Eimir said, scared as his whole body shivered.
‘This bastard is good at acting but looks genuinely scared this time.’ Magnius thought, seeing Eimir’s reaction.
“You need to first explain the whole situation to me if you want help from me,” Magnius said as he threw a fireball at Eimir, making him stumble backward and fall.
“Fireball helped you control your fear.”
“I don’t have all day to waste, so quickly tell me the whole story about Reaper,” Magnius said, creating another fireball out of thin air but much bigger than the last one.
‘This Whole Guild is made up of psychopaths.’ Eimir thought as he started explaining the whole situation of Alex.
“So Raymond wanted to acquire the Instance Dungeon entry tokens from Alex secretly, but his plan failed because Alex had already sold all of them for money and this S Rank Legacy.”
“Alex won’t tell the name of the guild he sold the tokens to because of the heavy penalty agreement, and as a last resort to get the Life Serum treatment for his sister, he gave his only treasure?” Magnius asked after hearing the explanation.
“Yes, First Elder.”
‘I feel little bad for taking a great opportunity from a newbie, but at least he gained what he desperately wanted and enough money to live a good life in both worlds.’ Magnius thought as he played with the legacy ring.
“Eimir, I will handle Raymond for you, but you need to forget about ever meeting with Alex,” Magnius said with a bright smile.
“Y…YY…Yes, First Elder.” Eimir replied with his head down as his body was shriving from fear.
While Magnius was scheming something, Alex was happily sitting in his hotel room.
‘The Plan was a success, and I even got twenty thousand White flame coins and eighteen free Life Serum treatments.’ Alex thought.
‘There are only three hours left before dark, and I can’t do anything meaningful in such a short time.’
“I can spend some time with my family, and after finding a good opportunity, I could tell them about Sophia’s condition.” Alex thought he got comfortable on his bed and logged out from the game.
After leaving the game, Alex convinced his mother that their whole family should go to a luxury hotel for dinner, as he planned to tell them about Sophia’s condition but make it sound like a grand opportunity for her.
————————-
‘I think this should be the perfect time to tell them about Sophia’s condition.’ Alex thought, seeing his mother and father talking in hushed voices as they had already finished their meal.
Alex and his family were sitting in a private room in a luxury hotel he had booked for dinner, and as he had hoped, his mother and father were delighted and enjoying their time, creating a perfect opportunity for him.
“Mother, Father, I want to share some great news with you,” Alex said.
“Mother, I had a meeting with Doctor Elmer in the morning, and he told me that Sophia’s MRI Scan showed some abnormalities,” Alex said intentionally, making it sound like bad News. 𝙚𝙤𝙫𝙚𝒍.𝒐𝙧𝙜
“Alex, What came wrong with Sophia’s MRI Scan?” Alex’s father asked.
“It is nothing to be concerned about but great news for Sophia.”
“Sophia is a natural genius as her brain activity is way greater than a normal human, but her body needs to use a lot more energy to handle the greater brain activity properly,” Alex explained vaguely, leaving every consequence out.
“What would happen when Sophia’s body could not provide enough energy for her abnormal brain activity?” Alex’s father asked.
“The doctor said Sophia just needs to eat high-calorie food to solve that issue and have her health checked once every month for safety,” Alex said.
“Alex, the brain activity could be because of other reasons; we must get Sophia’s health checked by the best doctors.” Alex’s mother said worriedly.
“Sophia, you saw the hotel menu card; tell me the second food dish on the fourth page of the menu with its optional ingredient names as well.” Alex didn’t answer his mother but asked a question to Sophia.
“It’s the Italian pasta [Pasta al Tonno] with moose cheese and White Truffle,” Sophia replied without taking any time to think.
“Sophia has developed an almost perfect photographic memory, and it’s because of her abnormal brain activity.”
Doctor Elmer has told Alex to check on Sophia’s memorizing ability to see if any changes have occurred to get an idea at the rate her brain was developing, and to his surprise, Sophia could remember every word just by looking at it once.
After Alex asked Sophia when was the first time she started remembering things by seeing them once, and just as he believed, it only happened less than a month ago.
Sophia was still developing her photographic memory, as she could only remember things for a couple of days before some of them became blurry, but it was getting better with every passing day.
“Sophia is no danger, but we can ask the doctor to do all additional health checks just to make you less worried.” Alex’s father said.
“Mother, Dr.Elmer has asked me to come to the hospital tomorrow with Sophia for a detailed check-up, so you don’t need to worry.”
Alex knew his mother would be worried until she heard that Sophia was in no danger from some trustable doctor, and that’s why he had already talked with Dr.Elmer to help him convince his mother.
After reassuring his mother that Sophia was in no life-threatening danger, Alex left the room, knowing his father wanted to talk to him privately.
“Alex, I know Sophia’s situation is not as simple as you make it appear, but I trust you wouldn’t make any stupid decision that can affect our family.” Alex’s father said in a serious tone, not asking him for any explanation.
“Father, I will not disappoint you.” Alex had the plan to convince his father about his story, but he scarped it and replied with the truth.
“We should stay outside the room and give your mother some time alone with Sophia.”
“Alex, When will you appear on some famous host show or News? I see so many youngsters they call Rankers get on the News and popular shows these days.”
“I am not interested in popularity. I want to live a fulfilling life, but If father wants to appear on News, I can help you reach there.” Alex knew his father was changing the topic, and he was happy doing that.
“I want to appear on News for being a great and respected businessman, not as the father of a hidden organization boss.”
After hearing his father, Alex burst into happy laughter, knowing it was a joke, but the funny thing to him was that his father didn’t even know he had just guessed his plan for the future.
