Miss Witch, It's Time to Clean the Entries
Chapter 197 Succubus Loli Yina (2)
Chapter 197: Chapter 139: Succubus Loli Yina (2)
Upon hearing the terrible fate that awaited her, Yina immediately burst into tears.
Sally comforted her for a long while before she finally stopped crying.
"Fine, you can stay for now. Just follow Annie."
Lian said with a sigh of resignation.
Annie pulled out the dagger strapped to her thigh and made a slicing motion across her own neck.
"Don’t worry, I’ll train you to be the most cold-blooded Assassin. Your hands will become blades to plunge into the enemy’s throat."
Yina fearfully hid behind Sally.
Lian rubbed the bridge of his nose. "On second thought, just follow me."
"Why not hand her over to me?"
Nancy Stuart was quite experienced in cultivating the next generation.
Yina trembled and hugged Sally’s waist.
"Look how scared you’ve made the child."
Sally stroked Yina’s hair and warned her, "Stay away from that Demon Eater. She takes pleasure in eating our flesh."
Yina was scared into tears once again.
Lian felt like his eardrums were taking some damage. He walked over to the timid Yina and patted her on the head.
"Don’t worry, Nancy won’t do that. No one will bully you, but you can’t just eat and live here for free. You have to work, understand?"
Yina wiped her tears and looked at Lian pitifully.
"W-what can I do?"
"I haven’t thought of anything for you yet, but you can start with cleaning. For example, you can clean my room, my study, and the living room."
Lian suggested.
Yina nodded vigorously. "I’ll do a good job."
Lian reached out and removed the slave Collar from Yina’s neck, along with her shackles. "Annie, take her for a bath, get her a change of clothes, something to eat, and let her get some sleep. She starts work tomorrow."
Annie put away her dagger, walked over to Yina, and swept her up, tucking her under one arm before striding out.
Only this time, Yina didn’t cry.
She just kicked her short legs a few times, yelling for Annie to put her down.
Once they had left the drawing-room, Lian finally turned to Father Simo.
"What do you need me to do?"
"I need Anna’s help."
Father Simo said.
"Are you finally going to replace Bishop Ilya?"
Ilya Dain was the Bishop of Green Shade Territory. He had never had the chance to meet Lian before, and Lian believed he never would now.
Lian smiled at Simo. Meeting him again, he saw that many more tags had appeared above his head.
This was thanks to Lian’s own growth; his Status as an Evil God allowed him to see a sufficient number of hidden tags.
For example, the glaring tag [Revolutionary Army Cadre] above Simo’s head.
That’s right, a Revolutionary Army also existed in this world. They were not only heretics in the religious domain but also in the political one.
The Holy Kingdom had annexed many surrounding nations. Wherever its iron hooves trod, a baptism of blood and steel followed, creating many orphans from fallen kingdoms, like Nancy Stuart. These orphans formed a Revolutionary Army with the goal of overthrowing the Holy Empire’s rule and restoring their own peoples and nations.
Simo was the Revolutionary Army’s chess piece hidden in Green Shade Territory. Lian guessed his goal was to climb as high as possible, gain more prestige, and accumulate more Power.
Replacing Ilya Dain as the Bishop of Green Shade Territory was a crucial step.
Simo must have been plotting this for a long time. Unfortunately, Green Shade Territory had incurred a massive debt, which even affected the Church. Bishop Ilya Dain had to return to the Imperial Capital to be questioned by the bishops, which derailed Simo’s original plan and forced him to redeploy.
But when Ilya Dain returned, he had a Priest and a Knight Order of thirty men with him, making matters even trickier.
Simo had no choice but to make a deal with Lian ahead of schedule, trading the Succubus Yina for Lian’s help.
"Bishop Ilya has committed many crimes. He should not receive God’s favor, but the Church Court is unwilling to pass judgment on him. I can only use my own methods."
Simo said with a calm expression, believing that Lian wouldn’t ask too many questions, just as he wouldn’t ask about the secrets Lian was hiding.
"Since he’s a criminal, he should be punished. Green Shade Territory will not tolerate outlaws."
Lian gave Simo a meaningful look.
For a moment, Simo had the distinct feeling he was being seen right through.
"I will write a letter to Anna telling her to help you with all her strength. I look forward to you becoming the new Bishop of Green Shade Territory."
Lian clapped Simo heavily on the shoulder, nearly knocking him apart.
Compared to a Bishop sent by the Church Court, Lian would much rather support one of his own people as the Bishop of Green Shade Territory.
Although Simo was clearly a turncoat, Lian had more than enough leverage on him.
As long as he didn’t want his identity as a Revolutionary Army cadre to be discovered, he would have to continue working for Lian obediently.
At the very least, it would ensure that Green Shade Territory wouldn’t see the Church occupying one-third of the land and 99% of the wealth.
The Church could be completely transformed into his asset, achieving a unity of church and state.
Simo couldn’t shake the feeling that Lian was plotting against him again, but he had no better allies at the moment.
Afterward, Lian grandly wrote a letter to Anna that was all of one sentence long.
The letter’s content was simply to have her assist Father Simo in helping him get rid of Bishop Ilya Dain.
After receiving Lian’s handwritten letter, Father Simo and Sister Sally had no intention of lingering and decided to depart for Green Shade Territory immediately.
Lian, however, stopped them.
"Oh, my friends, how can you return to Green Shade Territory without taking anything with you? Wouldn’t that make me seem so stingy?"
"You’re giving us a gift?"
Sally looked at Lian in surprise, a flash of joy in her eyes.
The corners of Lian’s mouth turned up, but he said nothing, only smiled.
Sally had a bad feeling about this.
All entry and exit routes in Yusofa had been locked down by Mary’s Rose Army, whether it was the stations, the docks, or the Flying Airships.
It was worth mentioning that most of the oceans in this world were the Forbidden Sea, but there was a Hilma Canal so vast it was comparable to an Inner Sea. This canal was not only a source of fresh water but also the key to maritime trade. Blue Moon Territory was situated on the edge of the canal, a transportation hub with access to both waterways and land routes. This geographical advantage allowed its Blue Moon Ore to flow to all corners of the Empire and was one of the key factors in the Jackson Family’s wealth.
Although all the routes were blocked, Church Staff could come and go freely.
The nobles of Yusofa couldn’t leave through Church channels because the Church Staff in Yusofa had evacuated long ago. In fact, they were among the first to be notified and to leave the chaotic land.
This also indirectly showed that Mary had a significant relationship with the Church Court.
It was precisely because Simo and Sally were both Clergy that they were able to enter Yusofa smoothly and find Lian.
Lian had just been worrying about how to get Viscount Fenix Belo out of the city when Simo appeared. It was just what the doctor ordered.
And so, Lian generously provided Simo with a luxurious, large horse-drawn carriage and even had them stay for one night.
The next day, he personally saw them off to the border of Yusofa.
Sally looked at the extra passengers in the carriage—Viscount Fenix Belo’s family, young and old, as well as his beautiful mistress, Mrs. Britney—and was filled with the urge to complain.
"Are we being used by that guy again?"
Sally turned her head to look at Simo.
Simo’s mouth twitched. He forced a smile that was anything but warm. "The God of Tiger has mercy on all."
"How much money did you give Lian Moria?"
Sally couldn’t help but ask.
Viscount Fenix Belo, his face weathered and his expression bleak, said in a low voice, "Two-thirds of my fortune. That includes all my manors and land in Yusofa, as well as my collections. I only took the cash."
Upon hearing Viscount Fenix Belo’s words, the Viscount’s wife fainted on the spot from anger.
Sally rolled her eyes and muttered silently to herself,
’Lian Moria is such a damned capitalist. Not only did he not give us a single cent, but he also made us do his dirty work for free.’
Simo was already used to this. He had gotten what he wanted. This temporary loss might lead to... even more losses, but he couldn’t worry about that now. After all, he was dealing with Lian Moria, a man who was impossible to see through.
