"Well, inside the nightmare, I slowly grew stronger. After that, I started a war in that world. Then, I waited until most of the people had died, suffering through pain and despair as the war continued."

Asher spoke in a surprisingly casual tone, as though he were recounting the events of an ordinary adventure rather than describing a war that had devastated an entire world.

"And after everything was over, I killed every survivor of that war. Then, once all of that was finished, I ended up here, standing right in front of you."

After explaining everything, Asher stood still for a moment without saying anything else, as if he were waiting for the Nightmare Saint to understand everything he had just told it.

However, the Nightmare Saint didn’t understand much of anything.

The only thing it had managed to understand was that Asher had somehow destroyed and killed everything inside the nightmare for some reason.

Unfortunately, none of this helped the Nightmare Saint understand why Asher had done all those things in the first place.

And before it could ask any further questions, Asher continued speaking.

"So, now that I’ve explained everything to you, it’s time to talk about the reason I came here in the first place. Well, other than fooling you into creating that nightmare for me, of course."

The Nightmare Saint remained silent.

At that moment, it was practically going crazy with frustration. What made the situation even worse was that the reason for its frustration was standing right in front of it, behaving as though he had provided a perfectly reasonable explanation.

Asher didn’t even seem to realize that he hadn’t explained anything useful at all!

After listening to his entire explanation, the only conclusion the Nightmare Saint had reached was that Asher was crazy.

Nothing less, nothing more.

’This guy is absolutely insane.’

The Nightmare Saint stared at Asher for a few moments, trying to control its growing frustration. However, after thinking about it for a while, it decided that it would be better to simply let him explain whatever he had come here to discuss.

At the very least, perhaps the next thing he said would actually make some sense.

With that thought in mind, the Nightmare Saint finally calmed itself down and waited for Asher to continue.

Asher, noticing that the Nightmare Saint was finally willing to listen, began explaining everything about the upcoming war that would take place soon.

He explained the situation, the enemies they would have to face, and the role the Nightmare Saint would need to play in the conflict. He also made it clear that the Nightmare Saint would have to participate in the war rather than simply sitting back and watching everything unfold.

Surprisingly, despite the importance of the matter, Asher managed to explain everything in just forty-one seconds.

Yes, only forty-one seconds.

He delivered the entire explanation in such a short amount of time that the Nightmare Saint barely had enough time to process all the information before he had already finished speaking.

And when Asher finally stopped talking, the Nightmare Saint felt as though it had developed a headache.

It remained silent for a few moments, trying to organize everything it had just heard. Eventually, however, it decided to ignore the headache and focus on the most important question.

After all, participating in a war was not something it could agree to without considering the consequences.

The Nightmare Saint looked directly at Asher and asked, "What do I get out of participating in this war? Why should I risk my life when our only chance of victory depends on whatever you’re planning to do? And let’s not forget that, because of you, I lost hundreds of thousands of nightmares!"

The Nightmare Saint’s tone carried a mixture of frustration and dissatisfaction.

It wasn’t as though it had nothing to lose. The nightmares it had accumulated over countless years were valuable resources, and losing hundreds of thousands of them was no small matter.

And now, after all that trouble, Asher was asking it to participate in a war that could potentially cost it even more.

Naturally, the Nightmare Saint wanted something in return.

However, Asher merely shrugged his shoulders, showing absolutely no concern for its complaints.

"I never told you to throw me into those nightmares. It was your stupid ass that threw me in there."

The Nightmare Saint’s expression immediately changed.

"What did you say?"

Asher looked at it as though it had just asked the most ridiculous question in the world.

"Stupid ass! Do you have hearing problems too? Stop being an asshole and listen to me!"

For a moment, the Nightmare Saint simply stared at him.

It had existed for countless years and had encountered beings of all kinds. It had dealt with powerful enemies, arrogant human nobles, and countless creatures that trembled at the mere mention of its name.

Yet, somehow, it had never imagined that it would one day find itself standing in front of someone who spoke to it like this.

Asher showed absolutely no regard for its status as a Saint, nor did he seem to care about the difference in their positions.

To him, the Nightmare Saint was apparently just another person he could insult whenever he felt like it.

And at that moment, the Nightmare Saint realized something truly terrifying.

It was beginning to develop a nightmare of its own.

A nightmare in which it was forced to spend an eternity talking to someone like Asher.

Someone who had absolutely no respect for its rank, no sense of fear, and apparently no intention of behaving like a normal person.

’How did I end up dealing with someone like this?’

The Nightmare Saint could only wonder.

However, before it could say anything else, Asher suddenly snapped his fingers.

Snap!

In an instant, the surroundings began to change.

Countless black orbs suddenly appeared all around them, filling the space with their dark presence. More and more orbs continued to materialize until the Nightmare Saint found itself surrounded by a truly unimaginable number of nightmares.
