Maybe I really am a Villian
Chapter 308: End
Just by looking at his current state, they could already guess what Asher had done during his journey through the forest.
While they had been forced to fight numerous beasts to reach the marked area, Asher had clearly made his way through the same forest without facing nearly as much trouble.
And judging by his condition, he hadn’t even needed to put in much effort.
Asher glanced at the three of them one by one for a moment before shifting his gaze towards the sky, and then he muttered, "Now that’s better. No trash in my vision anymore."
All three of them heard Asher loud and clear.
Frowns immediately appeared on their faces as they looked at him.
Without wasting any more time, all three entered the marked area. The moment they stepped inside, the barrier changed colour.
Leon looked directly at Asher and opened his mouth.
"Your tongue has become even sharper."
"Thanks, I guess," Asher replied with a smile on his face.
He then yawned casually, as though he were already getting bored with the situation. After that, he shifted his gaze towards the other two students before speaking again.
"Well, let’s finish this. I have many important tasks to do, unlike you guys, who only have to get scolded by your parents for your pathetic skills after this test."
Leon and the others frowned but didn’t respond immediately.
Leon tightened his grip on his sword and slowly began moving towards Asher.
Asher raised an eyebrow in surprise when he noticed Leon approaching him alone.
"You’re going to fight me alone?"
Leon continued walking towards him, his expression serious as he answered, "Yeah. It’s better this way."
Asher glanced towards Celestine and the other boy.
The two of them were already preparing to fight each other, apparently having decided to settle their own match while Leon dealt with Asher.
Seeing this, Asher shifted his gaze back to Leon and shrugged his shoulders.
"Whatever."
He didn’t care how his opponents wanted to approach the fight. Whether they attacked him together or one at a time made little difference to him.
Asher held his sword in his left hand and began walking towards Leon.
The distance between them quickly shortened, and soon, both of them were standing within striking range.
Leon tightened his grip on his sword with both hands.
Without saying anything further, Leon suddenly swung his sword straight at Asher, putting all his strength into the strike.
The blade cut through the air as it moved towards Asher with considerable force.
However, Asher barely reacted.
He raised his sword with one hand and easily deflected Leon’s attack, redirecting the force behind the strike without allowing it to affect his balance.
The difference between their technique and experience was immediately apparent.
Leon had used both hands and put all his strength into his attack, yet Asher had stopped it with just one hand, as though the strike had been nothing more than a minor inconvenience.
Before Leon could even adjust his stance, Asher had already moved closer, rapidly closing the distance between them.
Leon reacted quickly and attempted to strike Asher from the side after his first attack was deflected.
However, Asher’s movements were faster.
He suddenly threw his sword upwards, sending it spinning into the air, and immediately followed up with an elbow strike aimed at Leon’s hand.
The impact disrupted Leon’s grip, forcing him to release his weapon.
His sword slipped from his hand and began falling towards the ground.
Leon immediately tried to retreat, hoping to create some distance between them before Asher could launch another attack.
But just as he attempted to move backwards, he realized that one of Asher’s feet was already positioned on top of his, preventing him from moving away as easily as he had intended.
Before Leon could react, Asher’s fists were already moving towards his face.
The first punch struck his nose, followed almost immediately by a second punch that connected with his chin.
The two strikes came so quickly that Leon barely had time to understand what had happened.
His head snapped back slightly, and his thoughts became a mess as he struggled to regain his bearings. For a moment, he couldn’t even comprehend how Asher had managed to land both attacks so easily.
But Asher didn’t stop there.
He grabbed Leon’s head with both hands and forced it downwards, disrupting his balance even further. At the same time, he raised his knee and drove it upwards towards Leon’s chin.
The strike landed before Leon could defend himself.
Leon felt a sharp jolt of pain, and one of his teeth broke from the impact.
His entire body seemed to lose its strength for a moment. He couldn’t properly understand what was happening, and his senses felt numb as he struggled to remain conscious.
Before he could recover, Asher raised his leg again and then struck his head, sending him falling backwards.
Leon hit the ground, unable to continue the fight.
Meanwhile, the sword Asher had thrown into the air finally began descending.
As it fell, Asher calmly raised his hand and caught it, gripping the handle as naturally as though he had never thrown it away in the first place.
From the beginning of the fight to the moment Leon fell, Asher had needed only the time it took for his sword to return to his hand.
That was all it took for him to defeat Leon.
And then Asher held the sword with both his hands and thrust it downward with all his strength straight into Leon forehead; it went straight in and then pierced his brain.
And then Leon was eliminated from the test; his body disappeared with his sword and blood.
Asher looked up at Celestine and the other boy fighting; they were now looking at him too. He smiled at them and then asked, "You guys are still not finished?"
Both Celestine and the other boy felt a chill run down their spines as they saw Asher smiling at them.
