Maybe I really am a Villian

Chapter 302: Reunion

The boy quickly moved backward to avoid the attack. The spear passed through the space where he had been standing only a moment earlier.

However, Asher didn’t stop the swing.

Instead, he continued the movement and used the momentum of the attack to rotate his entire body around with the spear. His body turned a full 360 degrees, and as the rotation finished, Asher suddenly released the spear from his hand.

He threw it toward the girl like a javelin.

The spear shot forward with tremendous momentum, traveling rapidly through the air toward the archer.

The girl had just managed to dodge the incoming mana bullets and was still recovering her balance when she noticed the spear coming toward her.

She hadn’t expected Asher to throw the weapon so suddenly.

The spear caught her completely off guard, and she was unable to move out of its path in time.

The spear impaled her in the stomach, and then she was thrown backward by the force, hitting the barrier behind with a loud sound. Her body then fell to the ground, bleeding from her stomach.

And then she bled to her death slowly and was eliminated from the test.

The spear boy didn’t attempt to attack Asher when he saw what had happened. Instead, he just stood there, staring at the spot where the archer had fallen. His expression had completely changed. Although he knew it was only a simulation and she wouldn’t actually die, seeing her collapse after being hit by the spear still frightened him. He remained frozen in place, silently watching until the girl was finally removed from the test.

Meanwhile, Asher calmly looked toward where the girl had disappeared. Her body and her bow, along with the rest of her gear, had vanished entirely. The only thing left was the spear lying on the ground where she had fallen. Asher glanced at it for a moment before a satisfied smile spread across his face. He casually looked toward the space where the girl had been and muttered, "Hmm, my aim is still sharp, though a headshot would have been even better."

He then looked at the boy and casually asked, "Don’t you think so?"

The boy looked at Asher with a completely blank expression. He didn’t answer him.

Instead, he immediately turned around and ran toward his spear as quickly as he could.

There was no way he was going to join Asher in his crazy conversation.

The boy reached the spear after a few moments and quickly picked it up. He expected Asher to follow and attack while he was retrieving his weapon.

However, Asher didn’t follow.

The boy tightened his grip around the spear and slowly looked back at Asher.

What he saw made him freeze for a moment.

Asher was standing calmly a short distance away, smiling while holding his sword in one hand.

While the spear-wielding boy had been running toward his weapon, Asher had used that opportunity to retrieve his own sword, which he had thrown at the other boy earlier.

Asher now stood there with his sword in hand, looking completely relaxed.

The spear-wielding boy immediately understood what was about to happen.

When he saw Asher holding his sword again, he realized that his chances of that were already almost nonexistent and had now become absolutely none.

He tightened his grip around the spear and took a deep breath.

’My virtual death is near.’

Even though this was only a simulation, the boy couldn’t help but feel nervous.

’Hopefully, I’ll be eliminated without too much pain.’

He then thought of suicide but decided against it because of his petty pride as a noble.

Asher slowly raised his sword and began walking toward him.

The boy raised his spear as well, preparing himself for the final exchange. ℯℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

A few minutes later, the fight was over.

The boy’s body collapsed to the ground after being overwhelmed by Asher’s attacks. His body was severely damaged, missing one hand and one leg. He is now unable to fight any longer after Asher cut his leg, and then Asher delivered a final strike to the boy’s throat, eliminating him from the test.

The boy’s body disappeared from the battlefield, officially eliminating him from the test.

Asher stood there for a moment, looking at the place where the boy had disappeared.

Then he calmly lowered his sword.

With all three opponents eliminated, Asher finally had a little time to rest.

He moved to the centre of the barrier and sat down, taking advantage of the small amount of time he had before the next round started.

After a few minutes, this round ended too, and only 10 students were left. Asher checked his map again and found five areas marked on it. He then cursed his luck because none of them was anywhere near him.

He had to travel a long distance to reach them, so without wasting any more time, he immediately moved toward the nearest area.

On the way, Asher encountered many beasts, but he simply killed some and ignored most of them, not intending to waste any more time fighting unnecessary battles.

And then, after 11 minutes of running, escaping, and killing beasts, he finally reached the area. There, he found the Barrier was already yellow, meaning at least two people had already been inside it before him.

Asher then looked at the two people inside. They were familiar faces, Mr. Fool and Mr. Useless, together both in virtual flesh.

Both of them were looking at each other with their weapons raised, clearly preparing to fight. They were so focused on each other that they still didn’t notice Asher approaching the Barrier.

Asher stood there for a moment, watching them without saying anything. Then, without making any effort to hide himself, he finally stepped into the Barrier.

Only then did the two students realize that someone else had entered the area. Both of them immediately turned their attention toward Asher, their expressions changing as they recognized the person who had just entered.

Asher casually looked at both of them and smiled.

"Well, what a coincidence."
