(Author’s POV)

"My girls~ ...." Sandra pulled both her daughters into a tight hug, shedding a tear or two. William watched from behind with a soft expression. After another ten seconds, they all settled inside the car.

Myra rolled the window down and reminded her parents, her tone serious, "Mom, Dad, remember what I said~ ... No~ ..."

"We will, Myra. No going out in the dark, no talking to strangers and call you immediately if something happens, hmm," William repeated as he gave Sandra a side hug. "Now~ .... off you go. Otherwise, you all will be late."

William and Sandra stared at the receding vehicle as the former sighed and commented, "Our daughters have grown up. They are being a worrywart just like you."

Inside the car, Myra kept her face neutral, but her hands were clasped too tightly in her lap. Brave, who was sitting right beside her, noticed. He leaned close to her and said, "Don’t worry, nothing will happen to Uncle and Aunt in your absence. The arrangements have already been made."

She instantly turned her head to the side, meeting his earnest gaze as he blinked to reassure her, then gave her a warm smile. Her eyes reddened slightly as she nodded. She felt as if a weight that had been crushing her had been pulled off her chest. She leaned back in her seat and let out a relieved breath, then closed her eyes as all the pent-up exhaustion took over her.

After that, the car ride to the airport was mostly silent, with Wendy doing most of the talking. The girl was too excited.

Nearly an hour later, they reached their destination.

Getting out of the car, Dion handed the keys to one of his men, who had been waiting for them beforehand. The person helped them with their luggage and walked in.

Brave glanced around, then checked his watch, murmuring, "Why hasn’t he arrived yet?" his brows furrowed slightly. "He should have arrived before us."

"There~ ..." Wendy pointed into the distance. Everyone followed and saw Alaric approaching the group. He walked, standing beside his twin as Dion asked, "Is the work done?"

"Umhmm~ ... all done." Saying this, he looked at Myra, who averted her gaze immediately without knowing why. Alaric frowned but didn’t say a word, just retracted his gaze.

Alex commented, ’See, I told you to speak gently to our mate. Now, she does not even want to look at us.’

’Shut up. I don’t care whether she wants us or not. I don’t want her either,’ he replied, annoyed.

Myra was feeling guilty the second she looked away. She didn’t mean it, but when she heard Alaric’s thoughts, she froze, then her hazels turned cold.

Without further ado, they all went straight to the FBO. After the routine check-in and verification, they were taken straight to their private plane.

A polite, professional flight attendant greeted them, "Sir, ma’am, we have been waiting for you. Please come this way." She led them to their seats.

Once they were settled, Wendy, whose eyes were as wide as saucers, leaned forward and whispered to Myra, "I didn’t know we were going on a private plane. It suddenly feels like I have stepped into a different world, like those CEO romance novels. This is so cool." Myra only smiled at her. ’At least she is enjoying herself. That’s enough for me,’ she thought.

Ten minutes later, the flight bound for Kimberg finally took off. Myra looked at the picturesque scenery from the window, yet her thoughts remained a jumbled mess.

She recalled the first time she went to Kimberg to meet Nora’s parents. It was her first time on a plane, and she went all alone. How damn nervous she was at that time, but there was excitement as well. She had expected it to be a normal trip, but never knew that the journey to Kimberg would change her life forever. Her childhood friend was the only princess to one of the world’s richest men. She and her whole family turned out to be powerful werewolves. Her brothers were her destined mates. She found her birth mother. And most of all, she found she had something no one in this world possessed: the gold bloodflowing in her veins.

Now, more than a year later, she was on a plane set out for that very city. This time, she was overcome with a feeling that what awaited her wouldn’t just change her life; it would define it.

A few minutes later, the flight attendant approached the sisters and set out two glasses of freshly squeezed orange juice and two plates of marinara pasta.

"We didn’t ask for it," Myra said.

"Mr. Everests told us to deliver," the attendant relayed. Dion quickly chimed in, "Myra, I know you haven’t eaten anything all day. It is a light meal; you should have some. It will help with your stomachache."

"How do you know sis hasn’t had anything?" Wendy asked, surprised.

"A lucky guess. You should have some for Wendy," Dion added with a smile. "If you need anything else, just let the staff know, okay."

Wendy nodded like a child and started to enjoy the meal.

Myra hesitated. The last meal she had eaten was yesterday, at lunchtime, in the school cafeteria. After that, a lot of things happened that practically killed her appetite. ’But how does Dion know about it?’

The answer was simple. Dion had noticed how she had been clutching her stomach occasionally. He even heard her stomach growl.

"Brother Dio is right. Just last night you were~ ...." Elio spoke out of concern, then stopped midway, realising. Clearing his throat awkwardly, he continued, "Just have a bite or two. That way you won’t have any stomach cramps."

Myra finally took a bite. Wendy caught on to his words and asked Myra, her voice barely audible, "What was Elio about to say? What about last night?"

Myra stopped mid-bite, then answered calmly, "Nothing; you must have misheard him."

Wendy didn’t press any further.

And just like that, the Lycan brothers were returning to their home with their fated mate.

To Be Continued . . . . . . . .

Author’s Note: Hello, my dear readers. I have something to confess to you all. I know a lot of you have complaints because of the inconsistent updates and slow progress. I have promised many times to increase the daily update quota but haven’t.

I am not a very expressive person when it comes to my feelings, but I want to be honest with you all. I have been struggling to write lately. These past few months have been very challenging. Sometimes, I don’t feel like writing at all, and sometimes I get distracted and start working on my next project. I have even lost a lot of readers because of it. But still, I know I have a few loyal readers who wait patiently for the next Chapters, and I am truly, truly grateful for you.

I have no intention of dropping the book. As I have said before, I will complete this book, even if there is only one loyal reader. Though it might take a little bit of time.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. It means a world to me. And~ ... now that Myra is returning to Kimberg, there will be hot, spicy, and romantic scenes you can look forward to.
