Chapter 1365 Go And Change
Chapter 1365 Go And Change
A few days later, Xiang Wai and Cloe did show up at Raelle’s door to take her out to celebrate their big news. It happened to be Shui Xian who first met the two of them and looked them up and down before saying, “Welcome, sister-in-law and pseudo-sister-in-law.”
“Why am I pseudo-sister-in-law?” asked Cloe to him.
“Because I said so,” he replied with a smile.
“Was that supposed to be funny?”
“Did it make you laugh?” he asked.
“No.”
“Then clearly, it wasn’t a joke.” Shui Xian went to stand below the stairs and called out, “Baby, your guests are here.”
“Coming!” responded Raelle from above.
“You don’t look very happy seeing us here,” Xiang Wai pointed out.
“Am I supposed to be happy seeing you guys coming here to take my wife away?” responded Shui Xian.
“Someone’s really not in a good mood,” commented Cloe. “But Master Xian, how about you just also have a boys’ night? Wouldn’t that be a good idea or you’re feeling too old for that?”
Shui Xian gave her a look, “You don’t have to remind me that I’m older than my wife.”
“Okay.”
Raelle soon came down before Shui Xian could lose his cool looking at these two who came to steal his wife from him. As if he already had a lot of time to spend with her. Seeing the way Raelle was dressed, Cloe pointed at her and asked, “You’re not wearing that tonight, are you?”
Raelle looked down at herself and asked, “What’s wrong with this?”
“Are you going to work?” asked Xiang Wai. “Would you wear this if it was a date night with your husband?”
“But it’s not a date night with my husband,” replied Raelle.
“But it’s still a date night. Date night with friends,” said Cloe. “And you’re clearly discriminating. Here I had the impression that you are a very fair person.”
“No, this won’t do. Let’s get you changed into something appropriate,” said Xiang Wai.
“Says the woman whose whole wardrobe is 90% jeans and white t-shirts or black tank tops,” responded Raelle to her.
“Ouch!” came from Cloe as she looked away.
Xiang Wai licked her lips and laughed, “Still, I was careful and attentive enough to find this gorgeous dress from the bottom of my closet.”
“That is something Yanyan bought. You have no contribution to this. And it wasn’t at the bottom as well,” said Raelle.
“You don’t have to tear down my stage like this.”
Shui Xian hugged Raelle’s shoulders and said, “Baby, you can tear whatever you want. I’ll have your back.”
“Brother-in-law, say less. Don’t forget it’s gonna be us standing at the door to block your way at the wedding before you can get to the bride. You wouldn’t want us to make it even more difficult to get to her now, would you?”
Shui Xian glared at Xiang Wai, “Oh? Let’s see how far you guys can go at the wedding. No one can stop me from getting to my wife. No one!”
“We’ll see about that,” said Xiang Wai. Then she turned to Raelle, “Come on and show us your closet. We really aren’t taking you out on this. It’d look like you’re on an official business or something. You don’t have to look so mature and steady. It’s girls’ night out, you gotta look smoking hot and drop-dead gorgeous.”
Because of their constant badgering, Raelle had to take them to her closet. Looking at the rows and rows of the latest designs, Xiang Wai gave her sister a look, “With all this, you still picked up this to wear? How blind are you?”
“Talk less or I’ll throw you out of here,” was Raelle’s plain response.
“Try not to touch things randomly too, Wai,” added Cloe. “Or you might trigger your sister’s mysophobia.”
“I don’t have that,” said Raelle.
“Raelle Xiang doesn’t like others touching her things,” reminded Cloe. “That sounds like a mysophobia to me.”
“I mean it only for my personal things,” said Raelle. “You can touch whatever you want here. These are all just cold things, don’t mean all that much to me.”
“She means she’ll just ask someone to clean up the whole closet once we are out of here,” Cloe rephrased her words for her.
Raelle did not deny that because she really was gonna do something like this. She had nothing against them and it was already a huge concession that she allowed them to step inside her closet right now. It doesn’t happen for just anyone either.
“My sister is just too territorial,” said Xiang Wai. “You are very similar to a wild beast. Once there is smell of foreign forces in your territory, you won’t be able to stay calm unless that smell is removed. Right?”
“Thank you for comparing me with a wild beast,” replied Raelle. “Now, hurry up. There is so much here. Can’t pick a dress?”
“I found it!” said Xiang Wai as she took out a navy blue sequin bodycon mini dress which was still packed in wrapping. “This is the one. This has to be the one. Go and change,” she pushed it to Raelle who looked at the dress in her hand and than at her sister.
“Are you sure about this one?”
“Yes, I am,” replied Xiang Wai. “Don’t chicken out now. Go already!”
Seeing how Raelle after a moment of struggle did go to change into this dress, Cloe gave Xiang Wai a thumbs-up in appreciation.
“What is that for?” asked Xiang Wai.
“Chief doesn’t wear such clothes most of the time,” said Cloe. “She is really willing to make some concessions. It seems she really doesn’t want to disappoint us both which is a remarkable achievement on it’s own.”
“It’s okay for my sister to be a bit human.”
“You just called her a wild beast,” reminded Cloe.
Xiang Wai cleared her throat saying, “I was just stating the obvious. How is it my fault? I said what I observed. No one can say anything about it. And I was not wrong either.”
