"Su, you look pretty happy?" Walker teased a little, glad to see that Su was happier seeing how Alma and Gil were getting closer and closer to the family they had been speaking about.

"I’m going to be an aunt sooner than I expected, it’s going to be great!" Her upbeat attitude really set Walker at ease. She’d been very focused on understanding herself as a half dragon and what that meant for her.

Even more than that, she’d reviewed her own affinities and strengths to reaffirm her role as a defender and protector. She’d questioned it for a while there making things harder for her.

Yet, seeing Su acting like this really confirmed that Walker didn’t need to worry as much about her as he did in the back of his mind.

Especially since she had been building connections with more and more people not just related to guards and training. He’d actually been surprised when she had started pushing the two young crafters to learn and grow.

That showed more of who she was becoming and garbage valued. Not just the physical safety she could train and show people how to achieve. It was the safety to grow and prosper by following discipline and care overall. Something that was all the more important today for the betterment of everyone.

"When are you thinking about going to the outer elemental planes again?" Her question caught Walker off guard.

"I’m not sure. I don’t want to put these new golem bodies to the test with the elemental plane just yet. There is a lot that might be risky in that." His apprehensive side showed since Walker still felt he couldn’t perfectly control the golem bodies like they were exactly his main body.

Anyone would feel that way, but he also felt that just training them wasn’t the same either. He could catch himself hesitating a bit here and there.

"I thought you would want to go even more? When you do I will go too. I want to see more." Her slight hum after proved that she was thinking exactly that too.

"Good to know. For now I think I need to handle the commitments I have to Genesis. Watch over that dungeon and the floating island. Things like that." He also realized he couldn’t actually manipulate dungeons just yet. He hadn’t actually found a crafter that would be learning that specifically.

"You might find the people to take those over. The elemental domes and floating island already have many teams working together on them. Some of them even archive stored journals and rune rods we didn’t find." Su smirked a little as she responded to Walker.

She also knew that he hadn’t heard this yet and was a little amused seeing the golem hesitate, stutter in its step. She could even swear that she felt his mind stopping for a second to try and catch up to what she was talking about.

"There were rune rods that had been hidden away in some small areas that seemed to have been forging areas for the rune rods themselves. It seems that the ancient angels hid away some of the most important information so that they would not be stolen. One of the adventurer teams that joined the exploration were experts in traps and hidden objects. They recovered them after stopping a trap."

She also saw that Walker was listening carefully now, "The trap used mana crystals that could heat and melt the rune rods destroying them. When they were found a lot of the mana bled away and the rune rods hadn’t been destroyed when the city came to the ground. So, the rune rods were recovered." She was very glad that she had the time to tell Walker about this.

His golem body might be around but she knew very well that he had not attuned his senses perfectly. He hadn’t heard when one of the attendants passed her this information to help keep her up to date.

Everyone in the party made sure that they were somewhat up to date with this and that in terms of the main projects within the Genesis alliance.

"So what was on the rune rods? Were they good enough to keep more people working toward the return of the damaged islands or new islands?"

His excitement knowing that there were more advancements on the way was enough for Walker to refocus a lot more of his mind on this.

"From what I was able to read, it was all about the layer added to repair the runes they used to keep the island floating after some major issue occurred. There wasn’t recorded information about what happened but some researchers are looking in to the information now." Su didn’t have more than that. But just the fact that the layered runes were added was enough for the rune carvers and researchers to begin to work more in depth.

"That should mean we have better floating islands and workshops sooner too." The way that Walker responded proved to Su that his focus was going to be stuck on it for a while.

"You know, I wanted to tease you a bit by showing you that I knew a little more than you expected. But I also wonder if I should go to the elemental planes by myself for a while." Now Walker lost his train of thought.

He had expected that Su would be focused on training others even more. Focused on more for herself.

"Is this because Gil and Alma were so intent on growing their family recently?" Walker knew better than he let on.

The fact that Su had been working closely with many people but not begun to develop her own relationship with someone wasn’t something that anyone said out loud. Not because she had to. But because she was struggling with the fact that she had become close with someone who had left her potential with them in the past so that they could pursue their own desires alone.

It had left a mark on her heart and the more she dwelled on it after thinking about who she was now had begun to make her think. Not just about who she was going to be eventually but also about what Gil had done and chosen.

He has managed to see further in to what his class could become when he began to push beyond. It had stopped and altered his path forward because he now was able to see too far. Meaning that he had to learn and grow a bit different by comparison to how others might grow and develop.

"Are you trying to find someone that will be able to help you move forward in life, or in your class?" Being wise wasn’t just for those older. Walker proved that he saw a lot more than what Su might expect him to see. Not to mention the fact that he could sense her mana flutter around because she was trying to reach out around her for more of it.

She was trying to push her body and class to grow more. To find a level that would fill herself emotionally with what she was chasing.

She had understood herself as a half dragon and the fact that she had brought those pieces together despite the acceptance of others who had left her life. But she was not prepared yet to build a bond different from friendship and the family she had.

She knew her parents were together and fostering new life, she would have younger siblings, more than one for sure. She could guess that. But she wanted to step ahead too in that respect. Not just be waiting.

"We can go on an adventure, I won’t deprive you of that. I think we should do it and you can help me test the golem in those areas. Further from my main body and also in the center of a lot of mana. But I also want you to be open with what you are looking for while we explore." Walker knew that he had to support his family whether it was hard on them or not.

He also understood that Su would be with him as an anchor if he asked her to be as well.

"Thank you. I think I just want to see things I can’t see. Be what I am and see what I can be. Learn the value of who and what I am so that the further I go I am reminded that I have that value to more than just myself."

He understood that. She needed to see who she was in action rather than hear the value others assigned to her. It was just a blindness some people had and needed to push through. So that they could accept it all.

This was how she would achieve that properly and close any potential doubt in her future.
