Chapter 2933: 2933. Much More Knowledge
’Sprouting fire dungeon seed
This dungeon seed is out of its dormant state and is no longer degrading due to immense fire mana pressure within without absorbing the naturally flowing fire mana that calms the internal fire mana within. Due to this, it has been able to anchor in space where it will eventually bloom in to a dungeon entrance with the core protected by various layers of fire mana and space mana.
It is actively absorbing and calming the internal fire mana to create a naturally formed fire space within. This will take a significant amount of time and balance to both mimic the area it was founded and the area it was compressed. It will also adapt to the environment it is anchored in.
There are significant influences within such as space mana, life mana, death mana, dragon related mana, alchemic flames, human elements, herb residue...
Due to these factors, the potential of the dungeon is significantly higher but may only form in to what is known to be a tier two dungeon by the origin race dungeon sculptures. Due to this, it is still a significantly weak dungeon that would not achieve more than the lowest tier ranking without the additional input from various sources.
It is currently within the world and can be influenced by the will of the world. Due to this, it will be highly altered as the natural flow of mana and nature of the world affect it over the next thirty days. To increase the influence of others, there is a requirement that mana is fed to it by a singular individual.
The process to do so...’
Walker was utterly stunned.
It felt like a veil had been removed from the all around appraisal skill. Whether it was the world doing so or the fact that he just had not been looking at it properly in its natural state, he felt like he was sure that he was seeing more truths.
However, he was more confused now than before. Simply because he saw that there were sculptures of dungeons within the origin race members. Also, there were rankings to dungeons crafted by them designated by tiers.
The first tier already seemed like the lowest and would be considered weak and worthless to a degree. Something that might be made by a beginner that would be called worthless by the overall market but incredibly important because of the skills developed in the process of making them.
For things beyond that tier, a tier two like this dungeon seed, it would make more sense that it was the first successful product made. For this dungeon in particular, Walker wasn’t sure what tier the naturally formed ones in the world would be. Or were they all sculpted by the origin race?
He had no idea if they were sculpted or all formed naturally or anything similar. Or maybe he was somehow seeing dungeons appear in the world that accidentally got left behind because they were all tier one and were accidentally dragged here since they were ideal places for them to anchor and grow?
All the questions added up and would not be easily understood. He could try but he knew that doing so would just lead to more questions.
"Tell me how to feed that thing." Ignus ignored the majority of what Walker had just said in the appraisal and even ignored the fact that Walker was clearly unsettled and in a tizzy about the things he had just learned.
For Ignus, the ability to teach one of his elders to feed this dungeon and help it develop was major. It might offer a path for an elder fire dragon to grow while also ensuring the fire dragons gained the ability to better survive and grow in the future.
They could be the guardians and masters of a dungeon made to properly help dragons and others grow. To train and flourish. How could he ignore that potential even when he had other plans just a few moments before the sudden change in the fire dungeon seed and the land around them?
"You would need to let it absorb mana that is processed through your body. That would allow it to take more of the dragon traits from you and also to develop in certain directions. It would basically make you part of the food it needs. But we lack the skills to change or sculpt it better so it would form more or less naturally using that mana."
Walker was focused on the question and he also understood that all the complex details of how to feed it mana and when would come up later. He would need to record all the details of this appraisal and compare them to the previous appraisal. He also needed to keep documenting more and more for research.
Others would not have the same skills as he did so sharing this information in writing was invaluable for them. Especially when they began gathering more information and comparing it as everything changed with time. Only time would offer them the best of what they needed in terms of the dungeon and development of the dungeon.
The flames moving around right now would make this area more dangerous since there were slightly different aspects to them. Walker noticed the flight blue, purple, and orange colorations to the flames and knew that was the dungeon seed causing changes to the ambient fire mana. Proof that it was anchored here and part of the world now.
While he tried to wrap his head around this more, Su looked at the flow of fire mana and felt that there was something else to it all. "Look, Walker, the fire mana is sort of moving like grass I think."
The way that Su was flattened along the ground made both Ignus and Walker worry at first. They were not used to her doing these strange things. Yet, they also followed her actions and looked as well.
When they were looking closely, they noticed the same slightly moving flames along the ground ahead of them. All small like sprouts of grass. All swaying as if they were stalks of grass in an open field.
"This might be a hint at how the dungeon is developing. It might not but why else would the land here be affected in this way? Other manas might be brought in to the dungeon so a fire elemental grass coming to be and growing here too might work. I also saw some alchemy residue which has to be from Remey carrying the dungeon. So, it would have to be herb related grasses growing."
Now Walker felt his mind switching gears. He could consider what he had learned before while ignoring the more mentally challenging side of things. Forget the larger picture about the origin race sculpting dungeons and focus on the fact that there was even more he was learning now too. More about how the dungeon affected the world around it and how other dungeons also did this but no one had actually mentioned it or potentially properly researched it just yet.
This could be a whole new aspect for research.
Of the effects of a dungeon bonded with the space mana here would anchor it and also affect the immediate environment, there were plenty of questions that could be asked.
Was the environment being enhanced by the dungeon?
Was the environment being changed entirely?
Was the dungeon giving the world and ecosystem mana to balance itself too?
These were just some questions but he could think of hundreds related to the plants that grew within a dungeon or the monsters too. They all existed within it and couldn’t leave unless harvested, but maybe they would be? Or maybe someone could find a way to live in a dungeon and have a home there?
It was beyond a simple what if this or what if that. All of it was important and needed to be understood eventually.
"For now we should make this area off limits. We can feed it mana and maybe an elder fire dragon will find a path to become a guardian or master of the dungeon. Whatever happens is new knowledge and can be learned with more care and more time. Until we have more information it’s safer to keep everything guarded."
Su made the final call and Walker supported it with a firm nod. He also saw Ignus carefully planning mentally who would be here to guard it. It was going to be a great important duty for one of his underlings and many of their dragonkin. It might even change the path of many of them toward something unknown altogether.
"I will remain here for the moment. I need to consider things carefully." Walker knew Ignus would be trustworthy, his growth proved that. But he left slightly worried that Ignus would stress too much. This was a larger duty added on to an already full plate.
