Marvel: Infinite Stat Points
Chapter 348: Chthon and Mister Fantastic's Cooperation
After a brief thought, Chthon voiced his concerns.
"Chthon, you have a point."
Lucas paused for a moment, feigning thought. "I have a friend who is planning an attack on the Dark Celestials. But because Logos and Dark Celestials have teamed up, he doesn't have enough power and is seeking help everywhere."
"You can contact him to participate and use his power to hunt Logos, replacing the concept Logos currently represents."
"This way, you can achieve your original goal of hunting and replacing a cosmic entity, help Eternity in this cosmic war, and not have to worry about Eternity's accountability afterward."
Upon hearing this, Chthon's eyes lit up. "Sorcerer Lucas, who is your friend?"
"1610 Universe, Mister Fantastic Reed Richards."
On the other side of darkhold, a smile appeared on Lucas's lips.
He was not optimistic about 1610 Mister Fantastic's plan, nor did he intend to personally participate, but that didn't stop him from giving it a push from behind, intensifying the conflict between First Firmament's faction and Eternity's faction.
Only when the pawns had fought enough would First Firmament and Eternity personally enter the fray, and only then would Lucas's opportunity arise.
Ending the communication with Chthon, Lucas hummed a tune, and raised his hand to draw a circle. Sparks danced at his fingertips, and with a step, space-time shifted, bringing him to the outside of the Avengers Tower laboratory.
He wanted to urge Tony to debug the spaceship as soon as possible and personally confirm Eternity's state beyond all things.
Although Lucas was quite confident that Eternity's state was not as bad as it seemed and would not be easily defeated by First Firmament, what if?
If given a choice, Lucas still hoped the final feast would be First Firmament, not Eternity.
He stepped forward and knocked on the door.
Click!
The laboratory door opened, but there was no one inside. It was opened for Lucas by a robotic arm equipped with a mobile device.
Just as Lucas was puzzled, a voice from the speaker on the experimental workbench beside him answered his confusion. "Mr. Lucas, Mr. Stark and Banner are not in the laboratory today. And they are not expected to return for the next half a month."
"Mr. Stark and Miss Potts went on vacation to Rattle Island off the coast of the Bronx, New York, and Banner and Captain Rogers went cycling on the Overseas Highway in Florida."
Hearing this, Lucas was exasperated. "The Multiverse is in peril. At such a critical stage, how can they still be playing around?"
"More importantly, no one called me, the safety officer. What if they are attacked while playing?"
Ultron said bluntly, "Mr. Lucas, Banner once invited you to join the cycling trip, but your phone was unreachable. However, you should have received a message."
Lucas said casually, "Is that so, I don't remember."
Lucas wanted to catch Tony and Bruce and bring them back to expedite the testing and improvement of the spaceship, but he knew that haste makes waste, and one needed to balance work and rest.
"Ultron, you're good, you don't need to rest, you can work all the time."
"Mr. Lucas, maybe I am also resting?"
Lucas: "..."
"Mr. Lucas, the game you told me about has completed its development and is undergoing internal testing. Would you like to..."
In the Superflow, a war between Celestials erupted, with the Beyonders and Dark Celestials as the warring parties.
To be precise, this was not a war, but a desperate counterattack by the Beyonders, who had been pushed to the brink.
As the Celestials withdrew, the tripartite balance was broken, and the conflict between the Beyonders and the Dark Celestials intensified.
Initially, the Beyonders were full of confidence and did not take the Dark Celestials, who had been defeated by the Celestials, seriously. But reality soon delivered a heavy blow to the Beyonders.
After the Celestials withdrew, a large new force suddenly emerged from the Dark Celestials. With this new force, the overall strength of the Dark Celestials was even stronger than that of the Celestials in its prime.
The Beyonders realized that the Dark Celestials had been restrained, hiding part of their power and pretending to be weak to avoid being attacked en masse.
Only now, with the situation almost decided, did they reveal their fangs and spit their venom.
In this battle, Logos once again participated, helping the Dark Celestials defeat the Beyonders.
This news instantly spread throughout the Multiverse, and many cosmic beings found it incredible.
Logos attacking the Celestials could still be explained as a new order replacing the old, new laws replacing old laws, but why did he attack the Beyonders?
"Logos has been corrupted by the Dark Celestials, he has completely defected to First Firmament."
Inside a spaceship, 1610 Mister Fantastic said to Chthon, who had voluntarily come to help him.
"Your Eminence, The Black Magic God, Chthon, please inform the beings of the Multiverse of this news as soon as possible. If the cosmic beings do not act and allow Logos and the Dark Celestials to run amok, then our Multiverse will be doomed."
"I'm leaving now." Chthon nodded solemnly.
In 1610 Mister Fantastic's eyes, Chthon now had a faint glow.
"I beg you, Your Eminence Chthon."
1610 Mister Fantastic bowed solemnly, but when he looked up, Chthon was already gone.
"Although His Eminence Chthon has a bad reputation, in this difficult situation of the First Firmament's invasion, he can bravely step forward without hesitation. He truly is a role model for the Gods of the Multiverse."
1610 Mister Fantastic praised him aloud, but in his heart, he wondered why Chthon had come, what his purpose was, and whether he had any special relationship with Lucas.
1610 Mister Fantastic did not believe that this notorious God of Black Magic was truly coming to help out of concern for the safety of the Multiverse.
Nevertheless, his arrival would provide him with a top-tier combatant, further increasing the probability of his plan's success.
1610 Mister Fantastic believed that as long as his plan succeeded, everything else was minor and didn't need much attention.
...
Heh, little fox, one thing on the surface, another behind the back.
Chthon chuckled lightly, leaving the spaceship and speeding towards a certain part of the Superflow.
1610 Mister Fantastic did not trust Chthon, and Chthon likewise did not trust him. Upon leaving, Chthon, as usual, left behind a monitoring spell.
Although 1610 Mister Fantastic did not detect it, he was still wary. But what he didn't expect was that in front of a God of Magic like Chthon, a mortal's thoughts were as transparent as air.
Vishanti's Luminous Sanctum.
The first helper Chthon went to find was his old rival—the White Magic God, trinity of Vishanti.
Stepping into this outer dimension filled with golden light, Chthon shouted, "Oshtur, your brother is visiting, won't you come out and see him?!"
As Chthon's voice fell, the world instantly changed. The golden light that filled the entire world dimmed, and it turned to night in an instant.
In the starry sky, countless stars twinkled, forming a mysterious female face, and a vast voice followed. "Chthon, controller of darkness, why have you come to the Luminous Sanctum?"
"Oshtur, you won't even call me brother, you truly hurt my feelings."
Oshtur was silent for a moment, then starlight sprinkled down, and a female figure emerged, coming before Chthon. "Brother, why have you come?"
Chthon chuckled. "Sister, have you heard about Logos interfering in the war between the Beyonders and the Dark Celestials?"
Oshtur nodded. "I have."
"Then, sister, do you know the relationship between Logos and the Dark Celestials?"
Without waiting for Oshtur's reply, Chthon answered his own question, "Thus and so, like this and like that..."
After listening, Oshtur's brows furrowed. "Brother, do you have any evidence?"
Chthon retorted, "What more evidence is needed?"
Oshtur shook her head. "I don't believe you're the kind of person who is keen on protecting the Multiverse."
"Brother, you're eyeing Logos's authority, aren't you? This won't do."
"Sister, I didn't expect your misunderstanding of me to be so deep."
Chthon's eyes flickered slightly, but he still forced an explanation, "I'm only doing this for self-preservation. If Eternity is defeated, the entire Multiverse will be destroyed, and my Flickering Realm will be no exception."
Oshtur smiled faintly. "Brother, whether it is or not, I will always be watching you, not letting you meddle with the authority of the Living Tribunal."
Upon hearing this, Chthon's expression turned grim.
He had only thought that this Guardian of reality would not ignore a major crisis involving the entire Multiverse, but he hadn't expected Oshtur to see through his scheme at a glance and try to stop him.
"Oshtur, why can't I wield the authority of the Living Tribunal?"
"I only see a thirst for power in you, not a desire to protect order and balance. Chthon, this authority is not suitable for you."
"Oshtur, I don't need you to tell me what to do."
Throwing down a harsh remark, Chthon turned and tore open a spatial-temporal rift, about to step away.
"Want to stop me? Then let's see if you have the ability."
However, green light flickered, and the spatial-temporal rift instantly restored itself. Chthon took a step, but only moved one step forward.
Time magic!
Chthon's brow furrowed, and his gaze fell on a bald middle-aged man in a plain white robe, with an expression of neither joy nor sorrow, in the distance.
"Agamotto, let him leave."
"Yes, mother."
The suddenly appearing bald middle-aged man was Agamotto, one of the Vishanti. He formed hand seals, and golden sparks flickered, opening a portal in front of Chthon.
"Please, Your Eminence Chthon."
Chthon snorted coldly, tore open a crack beside the portal, and left.
This time, Agamotto just smiled and watched, no longer trying to stop him.
"You did very well just now, Agamotto."
Vaguely, Chthon heard the voice from the spatial-temporal rift behind him, which had not yet fully healed, and his face darkened.
"Oshtur, what do you think of this matter?"
The spatial-temporal rift completely healed, and another voice sounded, coming from a tiger's face—Hoggoth.
"Agamotto, what do you think?" Oshtur didn't answer, asking Agamotto instead.
After a moment of contemplation, Agamotto said, "We cannot stand idly by, nor can we fully believe Chthon's one-sided story. Earth-616's previous Sorcerer Supreme once traveled the Multiverse with Eternity, perhaps he knows something."
"Ancient One?" Oshtur nodded thoughtfully.
Leaving Vishanti's dimension, Chthon once again set his sights on his sister among his siblings.
