Chapter 346: 1610 Mister Fantastic's Arrogance

  • Next Chapter

1610 Mister Fantastic was silent in confusion.

Lucas's behavior was completely different from the model he had previously established.

In the information he had gathered, Lucas was typically a world Guardian, with a kind and righteous heart, who would spare no effort to protect the peace and tranquility of the world.

Upon hearing about the Multiverse facing a destruction crisis, he should have been eager to know the cause and solution, not look so indifferent.

Unless this Sorcerer Supreme didn't believe him and thought he was talking nonsense.

"Sorcerer Supreme, everything I say is true. If you don't believe me, I can show you proof."

As 1610 Mister Fantastic spoke, he pulled out a projector from somewhere and turned it on.

Pointing to the images on the projector, he said, "These video materials were all collected by my instruments in the Superflow."

"The person, surrounded by wing-like rings in the picture, is Logos, and the others are Dark Celestials."

"They are conspiring to help a more powerful Multiverse devour the Multiverse we are currently in."

As he spoke, 1610 Mister Fantastic operated the projector to switch screens.

On the screen, a figure whose body resembled the starry sky sat cross-legged, with countless chains flickering with eerie light wrapped around him.

"Our Multiverse, Eternity, is imprisoned. Eternity is currently at a disadvantage. We must find a way to enhance Eternity's power."

Lucas's eyes narrowed slightly. He hadn't seen this scene before, but he knew about it.

Previously, Chthon had informed Lucas of this news when trying to persuade him to cooperate in hunting other cosmic entities, such as Eternity's children.

"So, Mister Fantastic, you plan to stop Logos and the Dark Celestials?"

"Hehehehe." 1610 Mister Fantastic let out a few strange laughs.

"Yes and no. Stop Logos and the Dark Celestials, and there will be another Logos and Dark Celestials."

"What I want to do is..."

"To make Eternity evolve and counterattack the entity that imprisoned Eternity."

As he spoke with excitement, 1610 Mister Fantastic's tone became excited and ferocious.

"The reason that Multiverse is more powerful than ours is that it is unified. There, every Planet is linked together around a single goal, like five fingers tightly clenched into a fist."

Lucas raised an eyebrow. "So, you want to promote the Multiverse merging into a unified one?"

"Exactly. As long as we connect the power of the Multiverse like they do, Eternity can easily defeat the opponent."

"By then, Logos, Dark Celestials, all of them will be unable to jump around."

"Hmm... that sounds very reasonable. Unity is strength but I don't understand."

Lucas paused, then asked curiously, "What does this have to do with me?"

1610 Mister Fantastic gave a dry laugh. "I haven't figured out how to merge the Multiverse yet."

Lucas said innocently, "Then go research it. You didn't receive some fake information somewhere, saying I'm a research master, did you?"

1610 Mister Fantastic shook his head. "The Dark Celestials come from that unified Multiverse. They have information fragments of that place in their bodies, like DNA."

"If I get this information, I can decipher the secret of that unified Multiverse and help our Multiverse achieve unity."

"I want to ask Sorcerer Lucas to take action and capture these Dark Celestials."

"I refuse."

It was like a basin of cold water had been thrown, and 1610 Mister Fantastic's excited and ferocious smile abruptly stopped.

"Why?" Coming back to his senses, 1610 Mister Fantastic couldn't help but ask.

Lucas shrugged, ignoring him, and simply lowered his head to read a newly acquired novel.

Seeing this, 1610 Mister Fantastic became exasperated. "Sorcerer Supreme, you don't believe I can research a way to merge the Multiverse?"

"Or are you worried that the Multiverse merging will lead to the destruction of your Universe? Or perhaps..."

Lucas looked up at the chattering 1610 Mister Fantastic and shook his head helplessly. "Mister Fantastic, you are a guest from afar, and I don't want to drive you away. But this is a bookstore, please keep quiet and don't disturb my reading, otherwise I'll have to throw you out."

1610 Mister Fantastic chuckled in anger.

He was discussing a matter concerning the Multiverse's survival with Lucas, yet Lucas was emphasizing bookstore rules with him.

"Sorcerer Supreme, give me a reason for your refusal."

Snap.

Closing the book, Lucas asked expressionlessly, "Who are you?"

1610 Mister Fantastic was puzzled, a question mark appearing on his face.

"You ask me for a reason, are you worthy?"

Boom!

It was like a sudden clap of thunder exploded in 1610 Mister Fantastic's heart. He felt his head buzz, his heart gave a sudden start, and his body involuntarily tensed up.

In a trance, 1610 Mister Fantastic noticed Lucas began to change. He was clearly just sitting quietly on the sofa, but his body seemed to grow increasingly tall. His level gaze turned into a condescending look, and his helpless eyes became cold.

The air around them suddenly solidified, and an indescribable sense of crisis arose in Mister Fantastic's heart.

Reed Richards, who considered himself a Multiverse magnate and the current Multiverse Creator, suddenly realized what a terrifying monster was sitting before him.

Knull, whose whereabouts were unknown and whose life or death was uncertain.

The Ultron Legion, which vanished into thin air.

Galactus, who was gravely injured, near death, and driven to madness.

These achievements proved the Sorcerer Supreme's strength, and also reflected his ferocity.

"Uh..."

1610 Mister Fantastic tried to open his mouth several times, but his mouth lost its linguistic function, only able to emit some meaningless sounds.

Each time he opened his mouth, his body trembled more violently, as if merely opening his mouth had exhausted all his strength. And the harder he tried, the stronger the suffocating sensation became.

Drip.

A drop of sweat slid from 1610 Mister Fantastic's forehead to the ground. This sound, normally imperceptible, was like heavenly music to 1610 Mister Fantastic's ears at this moment.

The sound of the dripping sweat broke the deadly silence, followed by loud gasps.

1610 Mister Fantastic was like a drowning person breaking the surface of the water. He opened his mouth wide, greedily gulping down fresh air, as if it were the most precious gift in the world.

After a long while, 1610 Mister Fantastic, having calmed his emotions, forced a smile at Lucas and then hastily bid farewell and departed.

Plan A had failed, but he still had Plan B.

Watching 1610 Mister Fantastic's receding figure, Lucas shook his head and chuckled.

Weakness and ignorance are not obstacles to survival, arrogance is.

This statement was perfectly suited to describe 1610 Mister Fantastic.

A mortal, yet he considered himself the Multiverse Creator. Catching a glimpse of a corner of things, he felt he understood everything, unaware that some see only a limited view, and some are blind to the bigger picture.

Eternity was imprisoned.

Lucas had received this news, either hinted at or explicitly stated, from three different sources.

But he still patiently waited for Tony to build a spaceship, intending to hide within it and personally confirm if Eternity was truly imprisoned.

It wasn't that Lucas didn't believe Ikor, Chthon, or 1610 Mister Fantastic.

The mountain was there, but the mountain in different people's eyes was not the same.

Vaguely, Lucas had received a different answer from the Creator, the Second Eternity.

The Creator had always appeared too calm.

Was he not worried about the survival of the Multiverse?

No.

Even with the Celestials already annihilated, the Creator still brought the fallen Elder Gods to Earth-404 on schedule to seek healing from Lucas.

On one hand, this was an agreement between the Creator and the current Eternity.

On the other hand, this was the Creator's bond with his creation, the Elder Gods.

Whether out of consideration for his own safety or out of his bond with the Elder Gods, the Creator should not have been indifferent to Eternity being imprisoned.

Either the Creator had reached some agreement with the First Firmament.

Or Eternity's situation was far less perilous than it appeared on the surface.

Lucas's heart leaned more towards the latter, firstly because of the Creator's identity.

Secondly, there was the almost constant, uninterrupted flow of World Tree energy into his pocket.

Even after the Creator almost openly participated in the war between the Celestials and the Dark Celestials, and took the opportunity to severely wound the Celestials, which symbolized the Multiverse's order, further weakening Eternity's power, the supply of World Tree energy was still not cut off.

This fully demonstrated the Creator's status within the Multiverse, and the current Eternity's trust in him.

If, under these circumstances, the Creator was a pawn of the First Firmament, then Lucas could only say that Eternity's loss was not unjust.

He deserved to lose.

Anyway, even if Eternity lost this cosmic war, with the massive World Tree energy flowing into his pocket, Lucas would be safe.

On the contrary, he would then have to stage a 'snatching food from the tiger's mouth' against the First Firmament.

Compared to Eternity, the First Firmament's greatest advantage was that as a unified world, his power was more concentrated.

And in terms of power concentration, Lucas, who still maintained a human form, had a greater advantage, coupled with almost unresolvable defense, sensitive crisis perception, and the characteristic of growing stronger with each consumption.

These were Lucas's greatest reliance for daring to gamble big on a small stake.

After a pause, a guess surfaced in Lucas's mind: Was it Mister Fantastic of 1610 Universe who guided Galactus to Earth-404?

Transcendent perception: Yes.

Lucas narrowed his eyes, nodding thoughtfully.

He had this guess as early as when Mister Fantastic of 1610 Universe suddenly visited. Everyone who knew his approximate strength and the Universe he was in was on Lucas's suspect list.

The reason he didn't confirm it directly just now was to glean more information, and letting 1610 Mister Fantastic leave was also for his future plans.

After thinking for a moment, Lucas took out the darkhold to communicate with Chthon.
