Chapter 338 - 338: The Base Is Being Torn Apart, and You’re Still Showing Off!

"But I never expected him to cause us this much trouble!"

"Could this all be a diversion?"

By now, Karl had already infiltrated the underground levels.

He had been here before, so he was relatively familiar with the structure of the place.

The moment Karl said this, Iron Man accelerated.

His speed became so great that afterimages seemed to trail behind him.

Within three minutes, the two of them carved a path straight through the enemy forces.

Their violent intrusion immediately triggered alarms throughout the Skrulls' internal security system.

Karl knew they couldn't stay here much longer!

"You stay here and hold them off."

"I'm going to release everyone!"

Karl and Iron Man divided the work between them.

Holding back the Skrulls approaching from outside shouldn't be too difficult for Iron Man.

Meanwhile, the Skrulls had already received word that their outer defenses had been breached.

The moment they learned that the intruders were about to break into the inner area, panic spread rapidly.

"What happened?"

"Why didn't we receive any warning at all?"

"Even if they were moving too quickly, you should have reacted sooner!"

"Now they've broken inside and trapped us in this situation. What am I supposed to do?"

Shock appeared in Tothwanwell's eyes.

No matter how hard he thought about it, he had never imagined that Karl would directly infiltrate the underground starship facility.

They had used Eric's belt as bait!

But he still couldn't understand it.

With Eric O'Grady's current strength, there was no way he should have been capable of fighting Ultron.

Especially now that Ultron had become so powerful.

How could Ultron possibly fail to deal with a mere Ant-Man?

"Impossible!"

"How long has Eric O'Grady been there already?"

Dotilt soon received the orders from headquarters.

Yet Ultron was still stubbornly trying to break through the defenses by himself.

She was utterly speechless.

She could only begin arranging the Skrull forces in advance and have them prepare to attack.

"We can't keep waiting."

"If we continue like this, we'll miss every opportunity and lose control of the battle!"

Her expression sharpened.

No matter what happened, they had to seize their remaining opportunity.

Eric watched Ultron slam into the defensive barrier again and again.

At first, he had been excited.

Then he gradually stopped reacting.

Eventually, he even started feeling sleepy.

He crossed his legs, sat there with a helpless expression, rested his cheek against one hand, and repeatedly checked the time.

All he wanted was for Karl to hurry up and teleport him away.

The spell Karl had cast was genuinely incredible!

"Karl really knows what he's doing!"

Dotilt had already lost nearly all her patience.

Ultron, meanwhile, grew even more irritated when he saw that even so many attackers charging together had failed to shake the barrier.

"Headquarters has already sent new orders!"

"We're supposed to end this battle immediately!"

That only made Ultron even angrier.

He suddenly grabbed Dotilt by the throat again, his expression filled with warning.

The Skrulls behind her were naturally stunned.

None of them had expected Ultron to attack his own ally.

"Ultron, what are you doing?"

"Release our High Priestess immediately!"

They glared back at him in warning.

Without hesitation, Ultron grabbed the Skrull who had spoken out and hurled him from the building.

Eric sucked in a sharp breath when he saw that.

He hadn't expected to get a front-row seat to such spectacular infighting.

Even he was impressed.

"Now this is entertaining!"

"Watching them turn on each other like this is something you don't see every day."

"I have to record this!"

Eric pulled out his phone and began recording the scene.

Meanwhile, headquarters had already descended into complete chaos.

"Bad news, my god!"

"Karl moved the entire starship away!"

Hearing this, Tothwanwell slammed his hand against his chair and shot to his feet in fury.

He had regarded that starship as his final defensive line.

Karl shouldn't even have been able to break inside!

So how could he possibly rescue the superheroes imprisoned within it?

Besides, Tothwanwell had already ordered them to be injected with large amounts of anesthetic.

Even if Karl somehow managed to enter and free them, transporting all of them away should have required considerable effort!

Karl had already considered precisely that problem.

He had discussed it with Iron Man in advance.

Instead of wasting time trying to break through every defense protecting the starship, why not simply move the entire starship somewhere else first?

They could conceal it inside another hidden space.

Then, once they were safe, they could gradually work out how to breach its defenses and rescue everyone inside.

Wouldn't that solve the problem?
