Chapter 6039, Two Pieces Meet Up

Chapter 6039, Two Pieces Meet Up

Author: Silavin

Underneath the veil of worldwide darkness, a figure could be seen roaming about. He looked to be a boy, around eleven or twelve years old.

He was none other than Little Eleven.

Currently, in front of him were droves of Black Ink Clansmen, all of whom were on their knees, welcoming him.

“Welcome back, Holy One!”

Naturally, Little Eleven had not expected such a sight. In the first place, there should not have been anything here. Yet, there were both flora and fauna here. Though, it had to be stated that there were no actual animals except for the Black Ink Clansmen in front of him.

Underneath Little Eleven’s feet, there was a radius of clear open void. It was apparent that he had been reabsorbing the Black Ink Strength surrounding him. Those that were sent to welcome him naturally dared not step close to this space, much less dare to cross the Holy One in any way.

Seeing these familiar figures from his memories, Little Eleven could not help but recall the past. He had never truly known all of them in person. Still, they were his people. They were also the people he had fought wars for him, tossed aside like nothing – lives, valueless to him.

If regret could kill, he would be dead a trillion times by now. Still, what was done, was done. He need not ask for their forgiveness, nor would they even have the intention to. After all, in their eyes, he was their sole purpose in life.

In their eyes, his desire was worth everything while their life, nothing.

It was not that they could not forgive him, but rather they did not have the capability to forgive him. They never saw his actions, his tantrum, as wrong.

Just as he was about to move forward, the closest part of the ground, made of Black Ink Strength, shot up. Soon, a figure that was similar to his own, appeared in front of him. Except for the fact that he was entirely black, with tints of purple on him, and lacked feet, Little Eleven would have been convinced he was looking at a mirror.

“Greetings, My other half. Or, should I address you by what you go by now? Little Eleven, right?” Before he even fully formed, there was already a voice that echoed out of it. Once he showed his face, a smile immediately appeared.

“How?” Little Eleven was completely bewildered by the sight. Nevertheless, he stood on guard, ready for a strike.

It had to be said that this was pretty much the first time Little Eleven had come face to face with Mo like this. In the past, if there were any powerful accomplices that followed Little Eleven past the Profound Source Gate, Mo would always be in hiding.

Judging by the number of Black Ink Clansmen behind Mo, and how he was so confident as to appear directly in front of him, Little Eleven knew that Mo had the upper hand. Thus, it was only natural for him to be on guard. In the first place, if he was that confident about take Mo down on his own, he would not involved others in this affair.

Still, Mo seems to have no inclination to start any conflict. He just peacefully held up both hands and said. “I’m not here to fight you.”

Like anyone could believe what an enemy was saying. Little Eleven’s eyes narrowed as he became even warrier.

Seeing how everything he planned for was going in the opposite direction, Mo quickly changed the subject. “I believe you are looking for the kids-?”

Little Eleven immediately shot a glare, and cut him off. “What have you done to them!?”

Little Eleven brazenly took a step forward, and the Black Ink Strength on the ground all collapsed, absorbed into him. The radius of the void around him blasts off to increase by a few metres.

The sudden change caused Mo to even shift back a few metres.

This time, Mo was quick to state, hoping to not get mistaken as a villain. “Look. I’ve done nothing to them. They are with me and are in perfect health. In fact, what can I possibly do to those two monsters?”

Seeing to agree with Mo’s last statement, Little Eleven then asked. “In that case, why did you bother separating us? You blatantly kidnapped them.”

Mo scoffed as he stated, a little annoyed. “If I did not separate you two, would I have gotten the chance to talk to them? Would I have gotten the chance to talk to you?”

Mo could see Little Eleven frowning and he continued. “I doubt that would be the case. You label me as the villain. A target to be subjugated. If I were to let you three continue on without separating you, were you not going to just continue cleaning this whole place of my existence?”

Mo took a breath as though calming himself down. “Every little bit of Black Ink Strength you absorb or destroy is strength that I lose. Right now, I have no intention of allowing myself to be weakened. I have my own responsibilities to uphold. A fate which I want to change, which you ran away from.”

Before even giving Little Eleven a chance to speak, Mo quickly summoned up a screen. Anything on it lacked the variety of colour. However, there were clear outlines and gradients of black and purple, which helped make out what was on the screen.

Little Eleven could see the twins on it, with the familiar figure of Mo Na Ye behind them. Currently, this was when those two were already soaking their feet in Black Ink Liquid.

Initially, Little Eleven wanted to jump forward to help them. However, upon looking at the situation with calmer lens, he realised that nothing drastic was happening to them. At most, they would frown – and that was it. Seeing how the corruption was just superficial, he relaxed a little.

He looked at Mo, and asked. “What is it that you want then?”

Mo, seemingly having been waiting for this moment for a long time, finally sighed. “To get us all back together as one. That is my main goal.”

Little Eleven looked at him strangely. He had expected some form of threat from Mo. After all, he had the twins there, and there was obviously a Royal Lord just standing behind them. Nevertheless, the first out of him was Little Eleven’s own goal – to basically get every piece of himself back.

However, there were lingering questions in Little Eleven’s mind. “If that’s the case, why do you need to convince me? Just do it through force.”

Soon, another two screens appeared from the ground. This time, they depicted two areas. On the ground, there was a split between them. A clear line denoting separation existed between the two. Yet, it was clear that this line was moving, as patches of the ground seem to be fought after.

There were even Black Ink Clansmen there, one side was more Humanoid, while the other two, more Beast-like.

They were fighting each other for what seemed to be earth, with some scraping out the dirt to bring it over onto their side.

Seeing these scenes, Little Eleven seemed to have realised. “You’re trying to stop yourself from getting devoured by our other selves?”

Mo nods and said, “Now you see why I would not be able to do anything to you three? Besides us two, there are two others. If we are to describe ourselves as ‘more Human’, then those two are the pure representative of the raw corruptive power of Black Ink Strength.”

“Us two, ‘more Human’?” Little Eleven gave a look as though he wanted to reject the notion. However, before he could, Mo added, “Over the past few thousands of years, I’ve managed to regain myself, and pry off some of the influence of Black Ink Strength. Else, do you think we could have a civil conversation like what we are doing now?”

Certainly, that was one aspect which confused Little Eleven. Nevertheless, he already had a theory as to why this was the case. However, for now, that was not important.

“So, you need our help in dealing with them. So, a truce, is it?” Little Eleven folded his arm and asked, still not willing to lower his guard.

“No, not exactly. I’m willing to forfeit myself, for us to be united again.” Mo openly said.

This made Little Eleven raise his eyebrow. After all, that was not a decision that could be taken lightly. Forfeiting oneself would mean giving themselves away, letting their consciousness be stripped. It was no different from death.

In short, Mo was saying he was willing to die for his own goal, that who was in charge did not matter to him. As long as all the pieces were reunited, it did not matter.

“Why go so far?” Little Eleven could not help but ask. After all, he had expected great resistance from Mo. Being dealt this easy victory made all his prior preparation feel like all his effort had been mocked.

Mo was genuinely surprised to hear this. He thought for a moment. However, a playful smile came onto his face, “I thought you wanted to reunite because you knew. But since you don’t, there is no point explaining to you. You can just find out once you remember everything from me.”
