Chapter 6038, Breaking Free

“Argh. Stop being so picky about every little thing. Just take it into your Dantian already.” Yang Ji was starting to get annoyed at this point. Though he could understand why she was disgusted, they could not possibly keep going back and forth on this.

Yang Ji did not need two Black Ink Nests in his body. Furthermore, since this creature no longer had any connection to Mo, and was created by both their Blood Essences, it definitely would not harm them.

“Can I not…” Yang Xu seems to be giving a last bit of resistance. However, seeing how Yang Ji was not relenting, she knew it was no use.

Still, seeing how he was forcing his Sister, Yang Ji gave in a little. “Fine, fine. You don’t have to touch it, okay? I’ll just help put it in your Dantian for you…”

“En…” Since he was going so far for her, Yang Xu could not really refuse at this point.

Since the matter had been settled, Yang Ji was the one who took the initiative to stop the Cultivation Technique, and left the Black Ink Space. Once back inside the cultivation room, he could not help but take note of his surroundings.

His Sister was sitting cross-legged, with her hands stretched out to hold his. She still had her eyes closed, but it was certain she would awaken soon enough.

As for the cultivation room, like Yang Xu had said, it was truly sealed off. The door was no longer there, and there were just smooth walls all around them. The whole room now looked so uniform that Yang Ji was having trouble telling where the original entrance was.

He actually took awhile to get a feel of his surroundings, all while waiting for Yang Xu to wake up. However, nothing happened.

[Oh, I see.] Maybe it was due to their unbreakable bond, Yang Ji quickly realised what Yang Xu was doing. [That sure is sly of you, Sister.]

She planned on staying in the Black Ink Space, where she could easily cut off most of the senses to her body. That way, she could remain oblivious to what her Brother was going to do to her body.

Yang Ji just let out a soft chuckle and he opened his mouth. He stimulated his Qi, and had it wrapped around one of the micro Black Ink Nests in of him. Very quickly, he expelled it out of his mouth.

This was a brute force method expelling something out of one’s body. It was unfortunate, but they were unable to manipulate Space Principles here, and the Black Ink Nest was not an Artifact that had been refined. Thus, Yang Ji had to physically remove the Black Ink Nest from his Dantian.

Naturally, he was considerate to make sure it was cleaned before he helped insert it into Yang Xu’s Dantian.

He took out some water from his Space Ring, and gave it a rinse, before inserting it into her lips. Typically, it would be impossible to guide an object into someone else’s Dantian. It was only due to their Heaven Earth Symmetry Cultivation Technique, that he faced no resistance when his Qi was inside her body.

Once the micro Black Ink Nest was settled in, only then did he wake her up.

“It’s done, you can come back now.” Yang Ji told her using his Divine Sense.

Hearing his call, Yang Xu immediately sprung to life. She touched her lips and shivered a little.

Yang Ji rolled his eyes at this, and just moved on to more important topics. “Hey, do you know how we are supposed to get out?”

Yang Xu shook her head, trying to not think about the matter anymore as she replied, “Not really. He never mentioned anything about getting out. Still, there must be a way. If Mo had truly isolated this place from the outside world, that means even he would not be able to sense what’s going on inside. Following that logic, we must be the ones who take the initiative to get out of this isolated space.”

“Haa… easier said than done. This whole place looks the same to me. I can’t even make out the indents on the walls due to this barrier. I can’t even tell where the original entrance is.” Yang Ji scratched his head as he sighed. He walked up to the closest barrier wall and with all his strength, swung his fist, *boom!*

A loud sound was made, but that was all. The barrier was still pristine, without a flaw, with the only reminder of the attempt being the pain in his knuckles.

“We definitely can’t break it down.” Yang Ji shrugged, trying to play it cool even when he was in pain.

“Maybe, we give the worm a try?” Since their own strength would clearly not be enough, Yang Ji quickly suggested this new found specimen.

“…” Yang Xu gave a nod, and took some distance away. She too came to the same conclusion.

Yang Ji tried to use his Divine Sense to probe it within his Dantian. The little critter was still curled up. Unsure how he could communicate with it, Yang Ji just tried to send it a message through his Divine Sense.

“Hey, can you help us lift this barrier? Erm, please?”

To his astonishment, the worm had responded!

It unravelled itself, and seemed to groggily look around. As though it was a part-time shift worker clocking in, it slowly lifted its body to complete its task.

Seeming to perfectly understand what Yang Ji wants, it travelled out of his Dantian. Surprisingly, it did not have to go through any Yang Ji orifices. Instead, it seemed to be able to pass through the barriers of space, and appeared outside of him in an instant.

It was floating mid-air, looking around at its surroundings, trying to take everything in.

When it noticed its target, it seemed to heavily judge the barrier that had caused it to work ‘overtime’, It looked back at Yang Ji and Yang Xu with its bead-like eyes, as if questioning them, ‘you two woke me up for this?’

No even needing an answer, the worm turned back and slithered onto the barrier. With its mouth, it started to nibble on it.

As though knife through paper, the barrier was unable to put up the least bit of resistance against its teeth.

A tiny pencil dot hole soon turned into a fist-sized one. The fist-sized hole soon turned into a basin sized hole. The little worm just kept eating, without any regard for anything else. It was unbelievable how something smaller than a pinky had enough capacity to devour more than a hundred times its size.

Yang Ji and Yang Xu just watched, wide-eyed.

It was only once the hole became big enough to fit two adults that the worm stopped.

As though clocking out of work, it was quick to rush ‘home’. Disappearing into Yang Ji’s Dantian before he could even ask it a question.

In fact, it had already curled up inside the Dantian, and seemed to be – what Yang Ji could only assume – to be sleeping

“Is it just me, or does this thing have an attitude?” Yang Ji could not help but look at his Sister and ask.
