Chapter 6570: Could She Be Behind the Phenomenon?
“Interesting,” the golden-haired woman remarked.
Then, she abruptly vanished. Even her omnipresent gaze vanished from his dantian.
Chu Feng regained control of his body.
Hu!
Chu Feng was so weakened that he nearly stumbled to the ground. He staggered a few steps backward before regaining his balance.
Eggy finally manifested the gate and emerged from his World Spirit Space. She quickly rushed forward to support him. She looked at him worriedly and asked, “What’s wrong, Chu Feng?”
His face was covered in sweat, and his pupils were dilated.
Eggy had a good grasp of Chu Feng, having been with him since their time in the Nine Provinces Continent. He had always remained calm no matter how precarious their situation was. It was rare for him to show such an expression.
“I’m fine. It’s over now.” Chu Feng squeezed out a smile to not worry Eggy.
“What happened, Chu Feng?” the Divine Deer asked.
It could use its powers now, but earlier, the golden-haired woman had sealed off its abilities. This was testament to the golden-haired woman’s terrifying prowess. Since she had displayed her malice, there was no way she would be so kind-hearted as to let him go.
Something must have happened.
“That entity attempted to possess my body and steal my treasures, but my bloodline power fought her off. I don’t know if she is dead or if she has only left. Hold on, let me ask about it.”
Chu Feng knew that the roar inside his dantian earlier had come from the red lightning beast. He projected his consciousness back into his dantian world, and he was awed once more when he saw the red lightning beast’s massive physique.
He knew how powerful his lightning beasts were. Other entities who entered his dantian world before the golden-haired woman suffered terrible plights.
However, the golden-haired woman was different. He could tell that she was in an entirely different class. Yet, an entity of her caliber couldn’t do much against his lightning beasts, either.
“Thank you, elder.” Chu Feng bowed to the red lightning beast.
He had felt powerless before the golden-haired woman’s prowess and panicked earlier. He might have reached pinnacle True God level, but he knew that the ‘god’ in his cultivation rank was merely just a name and was not true godhood.
Rather, the power he had just experienced felt more like a god’s power. It was of a different caliber; he couldn’t even imagine how he could have withstood such power. It was his survival that was at stake, but he felt like he could only watch helplessly as everything unfolded.
It was a huge relief that the lightning beasts were around.
“You don’t need to thank me. This is my turf. You’re on your own for anything that happens in the world of cultivation, but I’ll cripple anyone who causes trouble in my turf,” the red lightning beast said.
“Elder, you’re as majestic as ever!” Chu Feng said.
“Cut the crap and get to the point.”
“Heh, it’s impossible to hide anything from you. Elder, did you manage to kill that golden-haired woman?”
“That fellow is not that simple, but I doubt she’ll dare to return to this dantian world.”
“So, she’s still alive?”
The red lightning beast didn’t reply, but its silence spoke volumes.
“Elder, what was that entity earlier? Is she a natural oddity? It doesn’t seem like it. Is she another powerhouse from the Ancient Era?” Chu Feng pressed on.
But the red lightning beast still didn’t answer. It would always fall silent whenever Chu Feng asked questions that it didn’t want to answer. Knowing how stubborn it could be, he pulled his consciousness back into his main body.
“Chu Feng, is that fellow dead?” Eggy hurriedly asked.
“It seems like she has escaped,” Chu Feng replied.
“Escaped? She must be quite capable to have escaped. But it looks like your bloodline power is still the stronger one here.” Eggy breathed a sigh of relief.
Since the danger was over, she returned to the World Spirit Space.
But Chu Feng remained worried. Many questions floated in his mind.
The water inside the pool resembles the legendary Immortal Sea. Was it the Immortal Sea’s remnant power, or did that woman steal it from the Immortal Sea?
Or does it have nothing to do with the Immortal Sea at all, and is it just energy the woman gathered through her vile formation, just that it resembles the Immortal Sea?
Chu Feng thought that the former two possibilities were more plausible.
The woman’s means resembled the legendary Immortal Sea so much that it was likely that she had obtained a means related to it.
But this brought about more doubts.
Was the woman related to the Immortal Sea, or did she obtain her power by stealing and cultivating with the Immortal Sea’s energy?
Also, could the humongous phenomenon that had enveloped the entire Immortal Sea Galaxy be related to this golden-haired woman?
Chu Feng had previously attributed it to the Immortal Sea Fish Clan, particularly Xianhai Yu’er and Xianhai Shaoyu, but he found no traces of them in their ancestral land.
The golden-haired woman might have been behind that phenomenon instead. With her strength, she was more than capable of pulling that off, though Chu Feng thought that it would be a pity if that was the case.
But what worried him the most was that he didn’t think that there was anyone in these eight galaxies who had the power to stop the golden-haired woman.
“Hm?”
Chu Feng suddenly sensed the formation dissipating. Consequently, the natural oddity’s aura began to surface. This made him realize that the root of this disaster was not the natural oddity but the golden-haired woman’s formation.
The natural oddity could be assimilated once the formation had been unraveled.
The formation dissipated so slowly that it would have taken more than a decade if left be, though Chu Feng could hasten the process. But before then, he first raised his formation gourd.
No matter how the golden pool was formed, there was no denying that the fluid inside it was an invaluable cultivation resource. It was just that Chu Feng was in a state of heightened vigilance after what happened earlier.
Fortunately, the golden-haired woman didn’t reappear from the golden pool. She must have really left.
Chu Feng first stowed away the golden water before constructing a formation. He channeled the formation, and the golden-haired woman’s formation began to dissipate at a much faster pace.
Meanwhile, the lunatic and the Martial Cultivator Commerce Guild’s leader sensed the change in the natural oddity.
“Somehow, it feels like we can cultivate with the natural oddity now. Shall we give it a try?” the guild leader asked the lunatic.
“You can go first,” the lunatic said.
The guild leader rolled her eyes. “Tsk, you aren’t dumb at all. You’re letting me go first because you’re worried that it’ll be dangerous.”
She had wanted the lunatic to go first. The near-death experience she had just been through had truly frightened her.
