Chapter 800: Chapter 398: New Body and Clone!

It could be said that in the early stages, even if one knew of it, achieving it would be truly impossible.

"In that case, I can devour the world’s energy without any scruples," Cheng Zongyang said, shifting the topic.

"Indeed. How will you handle your original body?" the Ring Spirit reminded him.

Cheng Zongyang looked down at his new body and realized he was still naked. He immediately grabbed some clothes, threw them on, and turned his gaze back to his original body.

"Do you have any suggestions? Can it be forged into a backup plan for me?" Cheng Zongyang asked. Burying or destroying it was completely out of the question.

After pondering for a moment, the Ring Spirit replied, "The spiritual nature of the Five Elements Spiritual Vein Origin is still sealed by me. Now that you also possess the Five Elements Body, you share the same roots and origin. We can forge it into a Divine Soul Avatar. If we truly encounter an irresistible force in the future, you will have a chance at rebirth."

Cheng Zongyang frowned. It felt a bit ominous to be preparing an escape route before he had even started. However, it wasn’t the first time he had made contingency plans for himself.

"That works," Cheng Zongyang agreed immediately. But then he asked, "What about you? Aren’t you going to prepare a backup plan?"

After another brief moment of contemplation, the Ring Spirit said, "The Soul Beast can be utilized."

Thus, after Cheng Zongyang successfully broke through to the Nascent Soul realm and acquired the Five Elements Body, the two officially began preparing their respective escape routes.

The Ring Spirit fused the spiritual nature of the Five Elements Spiritual Vein Origin with a wisp of Divine Soul separated from Cheng Zongyang, beginning to forge the new Divine Soul Avatar. Once the Ring Spirit erased all sentience from the Origin’s spiritual nature, Cheng Zongyang’s Divine Soul merged with it. It transformed into a brand-new Divine Soul with independent thought, which the Ring Spirit then injected into Cheng Zongyang’s original body.

A soft halo of light rippled around the original body. The halo gradually condensed and finally vanished completely into it. As the avatar opened its eyes, an ethereal aura shone through its gaze. It possessed Cheng Zongyang’s memories but lacked any cultivation.

Once it was done, the Ring Spirit asked Cheng Zongyang, "This avatar has no cultivation, only a Golden Core Level physical body. What do you intend to do?"

At the same time, the Soul Beast resting in the Hall of Ten Thousand Races Secret Realm was summoned by the Ring Spirit, obediently prostrating itself on the ground.

The current avatar was an entity that was both independent and intricately connected to Cheng Zongyang. He quietly looked at his new body and his avatar, a thoughtful gleam flickering in his deep eyes where iridescent lights swirled.

His brow furrowed slightly as he fell into deep thought. He knew very well that without its former constraints, this brand-new body was like a bird breaking free from its shackles. Its potential for cultivation advancement was absolutely staggering. Every cell seemed to harbor infinite possibilities, much like a treasure trove waiting to be unearthed. Once unlocked, it would inevitably erupt with dazzling brilliance.

However, he also understood that despite this immense potential, raising his cultivation couldn’t be achieved overnight. It would require a vast amount of time to temper and accumulate.

His gaze shifted to his original body, and an idea slowly formed in his mind. Perhaps this original body could serve as his anchor to return to the estate and accompany his family. In that peaceful estate lay every plant and tree he was familiar with, along with the loved ones he cared deeply about. Yet, he needed to carefully ponder how to improve this original body in the future.

In this vast and boundless world, the Divine Dao and the Immortal Dao were undoubtedly the two most powerful cultivation systems. He had encountered a wide variety of "peers" in the Jade Stone Market. There were machines, demons, beasts, devils, humans, martial artists, spirits, monsters, ghosts, souls, anomalies, and other existences, making up a multitude of different planes.

Even so, the Divine Dao and the Immortal Dao still held a supreme position in Cheng Zongyang’s heart.

However, as his train of thought went deeper, he slowly thought of a special existence. This existence belonged neither to gods nor to immortals.

In his understanding, the cultivation rules for both gods and immortals were actually based on an even grander system—the Dao. Simply put, it was the Origin of everything in the universe.

This understanding of the "Dao" flashed across his mind like a bolt of lightning, yet it remained somewhat hazy and unclear. He couldn’t articulate it with precise language; he could only try his best to describe the vague, dream-like concept in his mind as detailed as possible.

He attempted to find a fitting analogy. After much deliberation, he felt that the Saints from primordial mythology novels were the most appropriate comparison. Those Saints transcended gods, immortals, and any other kind of existence. They were the avatars of the "Dao" itself—a supreme, ineffable existence without form or face. Even the Celestial Dao of a minor world could not compare to a Saint.

The Ring Spirit instantly understood Cheng Zongyang’s intentions. In his subconscious, Cheng Zongyang wanted to cultivate the "General Outline" system of this world—the Dao.

This was a pursuit that surpassed conventional understanding, a challenge to the Origin of the world.

Although the Cultivation Immortality System and the Cultivation System of this world also included the stage of Refining Essence and Transforming Qi, in reality, they were merely different categories under the General Outline of Refining Essence and Transforming Qi.

Whether it was the progressively advancing realms in the Cultivation Immortality System—such as Qi Cultivation, Foundation Establishment, and Golden Core—or the Tier Sixteen Cultivation Realm of the Divine Dao, tracing them back to their roots revealed that they were all subdivisions based on this General Outline.

Refining Essence and Transforming Qi, Refining Qi into God, Refining the Spirit and Returning to Void, and Refining Void and Merging with the Dao.

These four stages constituted the complete General Outline of the "Dao." If one could cultivate this, it would be equivalent to rising above the two major systems, directly touching the core of the world, and controlling the most fundamental Power of Origin in the universe.
