Chapter 782: Chapter 390: Divinity Transformation Rules; The Final System Update

Likewise, only by introducing a purpose for Immortal Dao Points would these people understand the importance of making offerings.

The same principle applies to policies. Some common materials or medicines might be unwanted or ignored, but with a single new policy, their value can skyrocket, and demand will instantly outstrip supply.

Cheng Zongyang didn’t much care for their reactions. Now that the Divinity Transformation Rules were established, what happened next was a matter for the Cultivators.

As for the rules for subsequent new Realms, that could be dealt with later. ’For any of these people to break through from the Divinity Transformation Realm to the Returning Void Realm without my kind of infinite resources... it would take two or three hundred years at a minimum.’

However, just as Cheng Zongyang was preparing to visit the Martial Arts Realm, the Ring Spirit’s voice chimed in to remind him that the ninth update had arrived!

The Ring Spirit displayed the details of the upcoming changes before Cheng Zongyang.

—

The Hall of Ten Thousand Races is about to undergo its ninth update. The contents are as follows:

1. A ninth floor, the [Creation Space], will be added to the Hall of Ten Thousand Races. (Contains extensive content; click for details.)

2. A tenth floor, the [Reincarnation Space], will be added to the Hall of Ten Thousand Races. (Contains extensive content; click for details.)

3. Slot limits for the Consignment and Purchase Request boards will be removed. The transaction fee is now lowered to 4%.

4. This ninth update will be the final update. All features of the Hall of Ten Thousand Races have now been released. All other rules remain unchanged.

—

Looking at the new notification, Cheng Zongyang was merely curious about the Creation Space and the Reincarnation Space. As for the update itself, the Ring Spirit now had near-total control over the Realm of Ten Thousand Races, so there wasn’t much need for them. If not for its reminder, he would have forgotten about updates entirely.

Since the Ring Spirit’s level of control was far greater than before, the update didn’t take long at all.

Just a few minutes after he finished reading, the update was complete.

Cheng Zongyang immediately turned his attention to the details of the Creation Space.

After Cheng Zongyang spent half an hour reading through the detailed descriptions of the Creation Space and the Reincarnation Space, he finally understood the purpose of these two floors.

Their names alone gave a clear indication of their primary functions.

From the description of the Creation Space, he also understood what Qing Xuanzi had meant back then—that the Realm Master was a Creator, capable of creating almost anything.

This was because the ninth floor possessed this Ability, though it required the Ring Spirit’s cooperation.

First was the creation of non-living matter.

According to the description, the natural environment was filled with four forces—earth, wind, water, and fire—each of which was further divided into Yin and Yang Attributes.

These four forces, regulated by the balance of Yin and Yang, formed a stable spatial environment.

Subsequently, all matter in this space built upon that foundation, integrating the world’s Power of Five Elements. It evolved and differentiated from the inside out, and thus, every substance also came to possess Yin and Yang Attributes.

The creation of matter in the Creation Space utilized this very method. By spending a large number of Points, it would use the formidable Power of Laws to give the substance an initial manifestation.

Cheng Zongyang could create all sorts of non-living matter based on his own imagination and designs.

Metals, ores, stones, water, wind, lightning, and more—all could be successfully created within the Creation Space.

Second, the creation of life.

The principle was similar to the above, but with a few differences.

The creation of life required a specific component: a Soul Body. A Soul Body originated from Yin and Yang. Through the Power of Laws, Yin and Yang evolved into a type of Yin Yang Energy.

This Energy was non-living but was imbued with rules for growth. Once created, it would gradually absorb the Energy from its space and the surrounding world, growing stronger until it reached a limit.

When this limit was broken, a qualitative change would occur, adding a new rule: the Causal Rule.

The combination of Yin and Yang and Causality formed a different kind of Energy—one that possessed initiative!

The Yin Yang Rules would maintain the stability of the Energy Body, while the Causal Rule would trigger its active and passive responses. This process generated something called "behavior."

This cause leads to that effect. Through this constant behavior, it also absorbs external Energy. Eventually, this causality also accumulates to a limit, generating a third rule: Contradiction.

When the accumulation of causality reached its limit, the Rule of Contradiction was born.

Under the balance and conflict of these three rules—Contradiction, Causality, and Yin and Yang—a state called "entanglement" would arise.

Under the balance of Yin and Yang, the constant conflict, entanglement, generation, and annihilation between Causality and Contradiction produced a continuous behavior known as "inertia."

Another name for this inertia is "instinct."

Energy is ever-changing, which means this instinct is not fixed.

Once this Energy developed instinct, it would constantly act according to that instinct—for example, by devouring Energy, remaining motionless, or Flying.

As this type of Energy continued to accumulate to its limit, its instinctual inertia would evolve into what is called thought. This was a higher level of "instinct."

When, in a balanced state of Yin and Yang, the entanglement between Causality and Contradiction reached a limit, it would enter a state of Energy Chaos.

Energy Chaos would destroy the Energy’s Yin and Yang balance, creating disorder. If the amount of Energy contained within this cluster was staggering, it would affect its surroundings.

Take microorganisms, for example. Do they possess thought? One could say they do, and one could also say they do not. But they certainly possess a more advanced form of "instinct."

This advanced instinct drives them to absorb external matter, allowing them to continue to grow, evolve, and reproduce.

This, too, is driven by the instinct inherent in the rules of Yin and Yang, Causality, and Contradiction.

Energy that possesses thought and the capacity for growth is life, no matter the form it takes.
