Chapter 89 Nathan’s Thoughts[1]
‘Is this how the waiter felt back then when I ordered a ton of food?’ Harry mumbled inwardly.
However, it wasn’t in his place to complain so he simply left to get the order.
Immediately Harry left the table, the atmosphere became ten times heavier as the silver haired girl stared at the man with a serious expression.
“Hope you didn’t tell ‘her’ anything about this?” She asked.
“No miss, your sister doesn’t know anything about this.” The man replied replied in the same calm tone.
The silver girl subconsciously heaved a sigh of relief when she heard the man’s words.
“Also, stop with the “miss”. It’s quite uncomfortable.” She said with her eyes drilling into the pitch black eyes of the burly man in front of her.
Even though she wasn’t as powerful as he was and he could actually squat her away with one hand, the man still felt a slight chill run down his spine at her gaze.
“Okay.” He replied calmly. “Just be careful and don’t do anything stupid…”
The silver haired girl’s eyes squinted slightly when he heard his words. “I never doing anything stupid.” She said with a sudden fierceness.
“Yeah, sure you don’t.” The man reply was rather sarcastic.
The girl ignored his answer, causing an awkward silence to rise between them.
A few minutes later, Harry arrived with a huge tray containing a large number of dishes.
Though the tray was very wide, he was still able to hold it carefully without any of the dishes spilling or shaking.
As he served the food carefully, his eyes lingered on the girl with long silver hair for a few seconds before focusing back on the dishes.
The girl who noticed his gaze frowned slightly. she didn’t understand why Harry stared at her however she could more or less guess the reason.
After all, this wasn’t the first time she would be experiencing something like this—people staring at her because of her beauty.
While other girls might find it flattering, she found it uncomfortable. Whenever she went out or came into the midst of people, they mostly talked about her face and how perfect she was.
It was all tiring to her as it seemed as though no one ever viewed her differently.
Her impression of Harry immediately became very low—he was only a stage one Elementalist so she never had a good impression of him in the first place.
Meanwhile, Harry didn’t know that the silver haired girl already saw him in a bad light due to his little action, he was simply trying to check her stats using [Probe].
Just like the man, he could also sense that she was quite powerful, however, he didn’t think be would be completely hopeless or rather overwhelmed in a fight with her.
Unfortunately, the skill failed to scan her stats as a familiar system notification flashed in front of him.
[ERROR! Skill level too low!]
‘This skill is really weak, I’ll need to level it up when I get more skill points.’ Harry noted inwardly.
He had already served all the dishes in the tray on the table and he couldn’t help but find it amusing at how the girl’s eyes shone while staring at the table.
He didn’t think much about it as he turned around and left the two customers alone.
The bald headed man stared at the girl sitting in front of him awkwardly before speaking. “You do know there are even more delicious dishes at home.”
“There are?” The girl said as she picked up the fork and knife and started digging into the food.
The man didn’t reply to her question but sighed instead as he also started eating. Though he would never to admit it, the food actually tasted very good.

Meanwhile, in a brightly lit room, a tall figure with orange hair and black eyes sighed as he drew a pitch black arrow nocked carefully on a green bow.
He was putting on a simple white shirt along with matching black pants.
His brows knitted slightly with his attention placed on the round target some meters ahead of him.
The target had a small black dot at the center which was just enough for one arrow to fit in, with circular red and white markings at the sides.
Fwoosh!
The arrow flew across the air with astonishing speed, closing in on the round target with every passing second.
The eyes of the orange orange haired boy shone with delight as he watched the arrow fly towards the middle of the target.
Fiuuu!
However, just as it was about to hit the target, a small silver dagger suddenly curved from behind him.
The small dagger flew to the arrow with even more speed, hitting it and then knocking it to the side; away from the target.
The orange haired boy’s eyes widened in annoyance and his head immediately snapped backwards.
His eyes met with that of a black haired boy resting his back lazily on the wall while holding a hand over his mouth in a pointless bid to hold back his laughter.
“Nathan! you said you wouldn’t do that again.” He grumbled as he stared furiously stared at the boy with deep black hair and dark brown eyes.
Nathan forcefully held back the chuckle they threatened to escape his lips as he stared at the furious orange haired boy.
“Okay Stan, I’m sorry. That’s gonna be the last time.” He said. However, the smile on his face betrayed his words and it was obvious that he would still do it again.
“Yeah, like I’ll believe that.” Stan said. He walked to a corner of the room and then picked up another arrow.
Noticing that his friend doesn’t seem to happy with his actions, Nathan stopped laughing. “Okay, why don’t we just spar?” Nathan proposed
“Nah, I refuse.” Stan replied almost immediately as he nocked the arrow on his bow and took another stance. “Thanks but no thanks.”
“But this is boring, sparring is fun!” Nathan said, still trying to convince his friend to accept his spar. .
‘More like one sided beating is fun you mean.’ Stan thought but he didn’t voice it out. Most of the times he sparred with Nathan, he always ended up losing.
It wasn’t that he was took weak or anything but Nathan was just too strong—a monster!
“Tsk.” Nathan tsk-ed when he didn’t get any reply from the orange haired boy. “Come on, you’re just scared.”
“Yeah.” Stan knew better than to fall for his taunt so he admitted rather quickly.
“Whatever man…” Nathan muttered as he slid down the wall and sat on the ground.
They were currently in Stan’s personal training room, he was the one that actually came to visit the orange haired boy.
Though Sam’s personal training room couldn’t compare with his when it came to quality, it was still okay.
It wasn’t as large as the training room in the academy, however, it was more than enough for sparring and training.
Nathan felt bored at home and he hoped to ease his boredom by sparring with Stan, unfortunately, Stan wasn’t interested.
“I’m even planning on getting back into the elite rankings.” Nathan said, his voice laced with tiredness from being bored.
By “Elite Rankings”, he was talking about the top twenty-five position in Vane academy.
From the way he was lax while talking about becoming an elite student, it seemed like it was the most easy thing to do.
“Ohh…” Stan said in slight surprise. He aimed at the target and then pulled his arrow.
Fwoosh!
The sound of the arrow splitting through the air reverberated around the room as it flew towards the target with great speed.
Fortunately for him, Nathan didn’t intercept the arrow this time so it landed on the target without any disturbance.
“Shit…” Stan muttered under his breadth as he stared at the target.
The arrow landed just a few inches away from the black dot at the middle, hitting the red line closest to it instead.
“You see! Boring.” Nathan commented, still trying to convince the orange haired boy to spar with him.
Stan wisely ignored his words and replied: “You’ll definitely get your chance at the ranking competition.”
He walked towards the corner of the room and was about to take another arrow when his feet suddenly stopped.
He turned his head towards the black haired boy resting lazily on the wall with his eyes widened slightly.
“By “getting into the elite rankings”, you don’t mean directly… challenging one of them right?” He asked, Nathan’s earlier words finally sinking into his brain.
“Yeah, exactly.” A smug smile appeared on Nathan’s face as he said those words.
